A unique and great place to stay! It was freezing when we arrived that first night but we were able to figure out the heat and warm up. There isn’t any cables or services for the upstairs TV but we were able to cast from our phone on the downstairs TV.Perfect location right across the street from a gorgeous section of the coast/beach.
This was a great spot for this couple. A couple of quirky things with the heat and no wand for the shower, but fresh, updated, and supplied well.

Just needed a place for three of us to sleep while attending my brother‘s birthday party in seal rock. Location right next to Luna was awesome. Ate there five times. Good food and amazingly friendly staff. Can’t comment about the kitchen or anything of the house. We only had coffee there. Was priced right for what you get. Older with some weird updates but beds were fine. Thank you for letting us stay there.
The home was clean. The furniture is comfortable. The home lies one lot removed from the highway. Traffic is audible but hardly noticeable inside. Seal Rock State Park lies directly across the highway. A better beach (much longer, and great rocks at the surf to explore tide pools and watch waves crash) lies just a mile or two north. The restaurant next door is pretty typical for the coast. The food is acceptable. The fudge shop nearby is good. Waldport and Yachats are just a few minutes south. All in all, this might be our new favorite location at the coast.
Decent location, across the highway from Seal Rock. Quiet except for the freeway. House was very clean except for the windows and BBQ. Rooms were comfortable, kitchen was well supplied except for lack of mugs. Great TV and even a DVD library; WiFi worked well. Disappointed at the high cost ($354 per night all told) given the exceptions described here. So many beautiful natural areas within a short drive!
We enjoyed our stay at Parkview Retreat in Seal Rock. Great location, 10-15 minutes to Newport, even closer to Waldport. Near the highway, but just far enough off that traffic noise was not even noticeable. Maybe in summer with the windows open it could be a small issue. Bed was very comfy. Living area and kitchen were just fine. We just used the upstairs as there were just 2 of us, but the downstairs looked reasonable as well. Nothing fancy about the place, but perfectly comfortable. A couple little quirks: the door was a bit tricky to close and lock, the floor slopes a bit, the upstairs shower took a few minutes to figure out, but these are all minor things. Would definitely stay again. If you have a kayak or paddle board, beaver creek recreation area is just a couple minutes drive and is fantastic!
Great little house with fully functional kitchen, laundry room, and lovely showers. Comfortable furniture, very clean. Not ideal for someone who can't go up and down stairs frequently.
Decent property, it is clean but need to do some spraying or something for spiders, had to kill many while there. Decent location being an easy drive to Newport and right across street from Seal Rock State Park.
Right across from Seal Rock State Park so just cross the street and you are there. Like that there is comfortable couch and chair seating on both floors. Internet worked great. The key box didnt work well but I'm sure the owner will resolve that.
This property was super clean and a hidden gem for our stay with our adult and teenage kids. Having the family room on the ground floor and upper floor allowed the kids to watch movies/TV later while the "older" folks relaxed in bed. The kitchen was well stocked and clean. The shower heads were AMAZING. We were able to take evening walks to the beach and will definitely be coming back. The owner was fantastic to work with and responded quickly.
First - location. This is on the central Oregon coast which makes it a great spot to explore the coast either direction. Also, it’s in the small town of Seal Rock, right across the highway from the state recreation site, easy access to the beach! Also have to mention that the town of Waldorf is nearby and has all the amenities you need.
Second - the house. It has two levels, and two living spaces so that gave us more space to have separate activities for different age groups (kids doing their thing…) it has a nice well equipped kitchen for cooking.
Only two issues - first, the house didn’t have enough paper towels and no extra garbage bags for the week we had rented.
Second, the doors on the bedrooms on the first level were not in the best shape.
But small issues and overall we had a fantastic time and my family loved being together in this beautiful spot.
