What a great weekend we had. The cottage was great, clean and had great views. We loved to stay here and would highly recommend. My daughter loved playing with the dog Dougie and we enjoyed a walk down to the river where he came with us. Was the perfect escape from the city.
We booked Watton Cottage for a family stay with five adults and my 3yr old granddaughter to celebrate my 60th birthday. The cottage is very well kept and appointed, and we enjoyed a relaxing couple of days in the country. The property has some really beautiful natural surroundings and the Macquarie River is truly magnificent. My grandauther loved the pigs Audrey and Harriet, and the three dogs Ruben, Dougie and Harry. Susan and Chris are great hosts. We highly recommend Watton Cottage and we will be back. Oh and if you are a twitcher the place has some great birdlife.
Dear Susan & Chris,
We made a late decision to go to the Bathurst Liquimoly 12 hour race and found your lovely cottage on Stayz. Confirming and paying for the booking was simple. The instructions given were spot on and easy to follow.
Thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. The tranquility of the farm and the surrounding area was just wonderful and a refreshing contrast to the relative hustle and bustle of Bathurst during race weekend.
Warming up to your wonderful pot belly stove on unseasonably cool summer nights was great.
Would love to come back again with my kids.
Regards, Tony Zaknic
From booking to check in to check out the process was effortless.
This quaint cottage is in a stunning location, the hosts were wonderful, kind and accommodating. The little snack treats & milk were a lovely touch (the kids loved them thank you & I needed a cuppa after a long drive) and full bucket of wood for the fire, heater turned on before we arrived. Very clean, everything we could possibly need was there for us. Kids loved playing fetch with the resident dogs, playing cards with the ones they found in the cupboard, talking to the pigs and watching for Kangaroo's. Our trip was too short and busy to truly enjoy all this beautiful property had to offer. We would definitely love to visit again.
Highly recommend this cottage & its lovely hosts.
We stayed nine years ago and got the opportunity to come back again. It brought back a lot of good memories with our family. The same wonderful home, farm and hosts we couldn’t have expected more. Thanks again Susan and Chris
Had a relaxing and peaceful 2 night stay. Loved getting back to nature and meeting the animals and exploring the river. Enjoyed our time in the Cottage very much and the hosts were lovely.
Was a nice little getaway. House did look a bigger in photos but overall was nice and cosy.
Children had fun feeding the pigs, arrived just after a lamb gave birth.
Would have been great if the weather didn't let us down.
Just as advertised in Stayz. Fabulous hosts, very comfy farm house, very quiet, peaceful and relaxing experience. Loved the views, farm animals and amenities. Hosts were lovely and very friendly/helpful. Highly recommended!

Such a beautiful location, with extraordinary and inspiring landscapes. Beautiful to be so near the river, which was a delight to explore. Peace and quiet were wonderful. Lovely hosts and comfy beds.
Fantastic holiday with the family. Kids loved the animals and space both inside and out. We loved the cottage with fireplace, comfortable bed and area by the river. The hosts were fantastic, all information provided in advance and very welcoming. All made for a great getaway.
