The cabin is much bigger inside than it looks and it's very comfortable. Owner was responsive and the driveway was cleared quickly after a heavy snow. Midway between Gunnison and Crested Butte, the location was great for us.

Great cabin!

Amazing cabin nestled between Gunnison and Crested Butte! We loved this property because it was so cozy and had awesome features like the hot tub. Cabin was super clean. Easy and smooth check-in process. Kirk was awesome and easily available if we needed anything. Would highly recommend!!!

An Uneven Stay

The location of the property is wonderful. Close to town but far enough out that your feel very secluded. We loved seeing the horses on the property and we loved the welcome basket the owners left us. We loved the views and the entire surrounding area. The hot tub worked great and we loved the outdoor decks. The main living area was very nice and we loved our evening in the den or around the kitchen table. Unfortunately we had a large number of negatives that would cause us to not stay here again. The first was the note in each bathroom stating you can’t flush anything, including toilet paper, down the toilet. We did not expect this for the price we were paying and this does not seem like a reasonable request. If your septic system cannot handle toilet paper, you need a new system. The downstairs basement carpet was in very poor condition and needs to be replaced. We could not walk on it barefoot. We had issues with the smell of the basement our entire stay which smelled like waste a large portion of the time. The basement pullout couch should not be listed as a bed as the mattress has lost all life and I felt bad having my kids sleep on it. If it wasn’t for the basement, the property would be closer to four stars in my opinion. Should the septic system be fixed and the basement refreshed, this could be a very nice property.

Jeff, We're glad you loved the location of this beautiful property! We want all of our guests to rest easy when they stay with us, and we're sorry that you experienced some issues during your trip. We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: -The owner has added Tempurpedic mattress toppers to the sofa beds -There was a small water break in the basement which caused the odor; this has been fixed since your stay -The septic system was just recently replaced due to a large influx of guest usage; flushing toilet paper or other products damages the system quickly Thanks for your helpful feedback and for taking the time to leave us a review!

Nice getaway cabin after a day of activities in Crested Butte

We really enjoyed the layout of the cabin with plenty of room to spread out and relax. The hot tub was a nightly ritual after skiing or snowshoeing! Kitchen had everything we needed and the bathrooms are all good. The satellite dish did not work but we had Netflix so all was well. It's great place for a family to stay and have quality time together!

This was an amazing property that the pictures represented perfectly! It is a beautiful 3 story cabin with all the amenities and extra touches that made our trip perfect. The scenery is gorgeous as well and perfect distance to Crested Butte and Gunnison. We will definitely return!

Great place and property

Amazing neighbors and great view of colorado! The yard had not been mowed and grass was very tall. The trash can was completely full and running over outside. The master bedroom smelled like old dog pee in the carpets. Other than that we loved the location and the cabin was nice.

Amazing log house

Nice place, nice owners, great back yard for your dog. Couldn't keep crazy Catahoula out of the irrigation ditch. She had a blast. Great location and views. Roughly halfway between Gunnison and Crested Butte. Hot tub was the best ive ever been in. A little road noise during the day, but gets very quiet after sundown.

Fantastic Spot!!!

We absolutely LOVED this property. I can not say enough good things about it. We stayed here for a week and it was just me, my husband and our dog, but the house could have very comfortably fit 4-6 more people. The house was so clean when we arrived and the owners left us a little welcome bag, which I thought was a great touch. The beds were extremely comfortable and the views were just perfect. The hot tub is fantastic, you can sit and look at the stars over the mountain every night! There is tons of outdoor seating, including a porch swing that looks over where the horses graze which is the best spot for morning coffee. The house is only 10 minutes straight in to Crested Butte, which was very convenient. Overall we loved this property and I would highly recommend. Two things to note: there is no internet/WiFi and ATT does not get service here. However, my husband has Verizon and a Verizon got spot and it worked very well. We worked from the house for 2 days with the hot spot and had no issues. But with that being said, you don’t need it here!!!!! If you really want some screen time, they have cable so yo I can sit back and watch TV easily.

Much needed getaway

This property was ideally located and situated for our needs. We were looking forward to some quiet downtime and opportunity to enjoy the beautiful surrounding area. We love spending our days off roading and hiking, and this was the perfect spot to come back to at the end of the day to recharge. The owners were extremely accommodating and available to address any issues that arose during the week. We would definitely stay here again in the future if available.

Cozy Cabin perfect for Family!

We loved everything about this cozy cabin! The blanket of snow all around outside made us feel like we were in a Hallmark Movie. There is not any WIFI, so we truly reconnected as a family around the table and playing games. We only used the hot tub once, but it felt so nice after a full day of skiing in a snow storm. As a fitness focused family, we also appreciated having the workout area to stay conditioned, (although these Texas lungs were gasping for oxygen in that Colorado altitude!) We hope to return this summer to explore the rivers and streams and wildflowers!
