AMHURST Beachfront Cottage

Timber beachfront cottage with one queen bedroom, en suite, reverse cycle air conditioning, ceiling fan, limited cooking facilities, (no oven or hotplate), electric frypan, two door refrigerator, communal BBQ , large living area, LCD TV, DVD player, CD sound system, covered verandah facing Southern Ocean, rear deck with country views and direct access to our sandy beach, rockpools and lagoons. The Southern boundary of our property is the mighty Southern Ocean.

Comfortable building. Everything depicted on advertising accurate. Lovely private place for a couple to enjoy a break. Views of sea relaxing to watch unimpeded. Graham was friendly and helpful without being too over the top.

Beautiful View

The property is comfortable for a short couples getaway and the views are excellent. We enjoyed the quiet seclusion of the beach and surrounds. Unfortunately the fly screens on double glass doors to the deck were torn in spots which let lots of small insects in if you were trying to enjoy the sea breeze. The kitchenette could use some updating and modernizing.

We had a great stay in Port Fairy for the return of the Folk Festival. What a lovely spot - location was awesome, right on the beach with lots to explore. The cottage was lovely and clean with all we needed. Thanks Graham.

Only gap was the partial kitchen (microwave but no cook top). Owner was very hospitable and helpful. I would most definitely stay again and for longer.

Stayed night of Dec 24th 2010. Owner was away, but all was very easy to find/enter, and accommodation was idyllic. However, the restaurant in town was a waste of time/money. Our suggestion would be to buy your own food and eat it sat on the balcony whilst watching a sunset to make the most of this beautiful place to stay. The early morning run/walk on the beach on Christmas day was fantastic!
