This was a property just far enough off of the beaten path, but close enough to everything!! The rooms were wonderful, the hot tub felt great and it was a lovely home in which to relax and come together as a family. Thanks for a great stay!!
We enjoyed our stay and the Christmas touches made it extra cozy! The location is not far from pigeon forge and we enjoyed that as well. The kids had fun with the foosball table. Thank you!
Awesome cabin, Excellent location. Plenty of space, very nice furniture and bathrooms. Bunk beds a big hit. Road access to cabin, Pigeon Forge & Rt. 321very accessible . My family had a great time and enjoyed staying at Bears Den. We are making plans for next year. Only issue’s are 1. Outside trash cage too small 2. Parking area.
This was a great place to stay as it accommodated for all of us. We had several kids in the group and they loved the hot tub. The communication with the host was great as well.
This property was perfect for our family and our friends. The rooms were great and the basement was a perfect space for the teenagers! The cabin is perfectly located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
The property was very nice and accommodated our family of eight well. Everything was just as the description given. The scenery was wonderful. We had a deer walk across the property.
Absolutely loved our stay! The cabin is super cute and cozy. Everything you would need for
A week stay with your family. I loved the rustic features ! Property owners were very attentive and responsive! Will definitely be back!
It was wonderful there. There was a few things. The toilet upstairs was loose. There was some writing on the wall downstairs, but it was in pencil so we just washed it off no big deal. There was some snags in the carpet downstairs which also was no big deal. Other than that. It was a wonderful, beautiful cabin and I would stay there again with no problems whatsoever.
The cabin is beautiful with a great view. We would recommend this to those who don't wanna be bothered by traffic,it is very secluded. The drive there can be stressful if its dark or bad weather. Just be patient and aware of narrow roads, very much worth the slow pace.
We had five adults and three teens stay in this house. The teens loved the bunk beds and having the basement. We all enjoyed the seclusion of the house, but being able to get to the store within 15 minutes. Thank you!

Booking and check in process as easy as it gets. Cabin is worn, weathered and dingy. Many items in need of repair, such as doorknobs that don't open properly, faucets that don't turn off, and broken screen doors. The property is in need of attention and repair..

I really don’t understand your comments? You rented a beautiful cabin in the mountains, not the ritz Carlton in the city. The cabin is in great condition and we maintain it after every check out. I also never heard anything from you during your stay? If you happen to find anything that’s and issue during your stay we are only a phone call away to resolve anything as I have a team of maintenance people on call.
We put our customers satisfaction as our top priority!

Bears den lodge was very spacious and granted all the quiet time we needed.
There are a few comments I would like to leave. The claw foot tub is a nice touch but as others have stated as well it is dangerously slippery. We bought a tub mat and left it there for others to use. Also, the downstairs carpet is in desperate need of replacing as well as the "mat" under the dining room table. The cabin was very clean in spite of those few things that need replacing. Thank you for the opportunity to spend our girl trip at bear's den.

Susan,
Thank you for your stay at Bears Den Lodge, we truly appreciate you choosing to spend your vacation at our cabin. Just wanted to let you know that both carpets you mentioned were actually steam cleaned just after your stay. Apparently the previous guests just before your stay had a large group of children and had tracked in "dirty shoes" during their stay which it had rained quite a bit. Since they had vacated on the same day you arrived, we couldn't schedule the cleaners till after your stay. Good news is that everything is perfect at the cabin once again!
Best Regards,
Dave & Jessy

The cabin would be great, with a little work. The cleanliness left something to be desired but it wasn’t anything too terrible. There were food items in the foosball table (which is broken,) cereal on the floor, toothpaste on the doorknob, tons of cobwebs everywhere. Nothing to warrant a complaint but it could have definitely been cleaner. It was the other inconveniences that need addressed. I did not contact the owners because there wasn’t anything that could be done during our stay to remedy the issues, as they are a matter of needing to invest in some renovations. The toilet in the loft rocks back and forth. A LOT. The sprayer in the kitchen doesn’t work. The claw foot tub is cute but so slippery that it was unusable to shower. There are 3 toilets and ZERO plungers. That was totally bizarre, considering the pressure was so low that the toilet clogged twice while we were there. The jets in the hot tub worked about half of the time. The code lock on the door did not work consistently. We left the side door unlocked because the batteries kept coming loose in the front door code lock and we didn’t want to be locked out. It’s a nice place that just needs some care and more care taken from the cleaners. I’ve never left any type of mess in a rental but I have to say that after the toilet clogged the second time as we were preparing to leave, I didn’t bother to sweep up or even take the last of the trash out..it was very frustrating.
Wonderful host, very responsive & helpful. We enjoyed a full week of exploring around Wear's Valley (great artisan shops, general store, coffee shop, fudge & more very close to the cabin); while taking day excursions to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg & Cades Cove.
Cabin is very dog friendly and plenty of space for small or large groups. With 3 levels inside, wrap-around porch/deck, bottom deck, side private deck -- everyone can space out & then join together inside or outside.
Only issue we had was arriving after dark. The house was dark (no lights on) as were the roads. Starting at the Dogwood neighborhood sign -- roads are the one lane narrow mountain roads. Between all the various GPS systems we used we still got really turned around (aka: LOST) which is a bit nerve racking at night after a long drive.
I mention this only as a warning to take your time & do your best to arrive before dark! Remember to unpack your patience and keep a great attitude. It's worth the driving adventure!!
Once we started exploring (in the daytime) the valley was lovely to explore and the drive to the cabin got easier and easier each day! We could have enjoyed staying in and around Wear's Valley exploring the entire week -- yet it was easy to get to the other popular destinations. Be sure to explore the National Park -- it's magical!!!
Thanks again Dave, your cabin made my 60th birthday celebration & our sister's week a fabulous & memorable week! 💕
We love this property! It is beautiful and so much fun. . It was roomy enough for the entire family, the hot tub was amazing to enjoy, kitchen was big and plenty of supplies that you need. We saw wild turkeys, all kind of birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and amazingly a huge black bear. We all would recommend this location to anyone who wants a get experience, a little privacy but with the ability to get to Gatlinburg really quick.
We had a great time in the cabin. The bedrooms were spacious. The bottom floor is where the bunks, game room and hot tub are located. We were a family of 12 and were able to all sit down and eat at the kitchen table so it has plenty of room.
We really enjoyed the stay. The only complaint is that the shower in the master bedroom is very hard to use. I almost slipped 3 times before I gave up. Also there was mud in the tub when we checked in.
