Bear's Den Lodge} Very Private - Great Views! - Awesome Bunk Room & Hot Tub -
"Bear's Den Lodge" is nestled in the foothills of the Smoky Mountain National Park. This cabin has it all just minutes away from the attractions of Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg, yet quietly tucked away in one of the premier communities of Wears Valley.
When you first arrive at the cabin you will find that there's plenty of flat parking for at least 5 vehicles. From there its just a few steps to get to the main level with a classic cabin porch featuring your usual rocking chairs! Before entering the Cabin you will also notice the new extra-large entertainment deck where you can dine outside or just sit and enjoy the Smoky Mountains. Once you go inside the cabin you will enter into the living room, dining room & kitchen. For those who can't do stairs, no problem, the master King bedroom & large oversize bathroom are located on this main level. Talk about the Master bathroom, wait to you see it... besides the large double vanity sink, the main feature is the antique Clawfoot Tub and authentic pull-cord toilet !! This is definitely not your typical cabin bath! The Master bedroom also has it's own private deck and lounge chairs! Upstairs in the loft is the 2nd bedroom with a king bed. You will also find a full size bathroom on this level with stall shower. Downstairs there is the 3rd bedroom with a Queen bed & full bath. In the game room you can play a game of foos ball, watch Direct TV or play a game of cards. Also located in the game room are our featured double bunk bed's that sleep 4 more guests and we even have and a full size sofa bed for additional sleeping if needed.
What also makes this cabin extra special is that the cabin is located down a long private driveway with just one other neighboring cabin. It's a super private and tranquil location and you still have breathtaking mountain views!
Thank You for considering our wonderful cabin.....and God Bless

We enjoyed our stay and the Christmas touches made it extra cozy! The location is not far from pigeon forge and we enjoyed that as well. The kids had fun with the foosball table. Thank you!
This was a great place to stay as it accommodated for all of us. We had several kids in the group and they loved the hot tub. The communication with the host was great as well.
The property was very nice and accommodated our family of eight well. Everything was just as the description given. The scenery was wonderful. We had a deer walk across the property.
We had five adults and three teens stay in this house. The teens loved the bunk beds and having the basement. We all enjoyed the seclusion of the house, but being able to get to the store within 15 minutes. Thank you!
This was a property just far enough off of the beaten path, but close enough to everything!! The rooms were wonderful, the hot tub felt great and it was a lovely home in which to relax and come together as a family. Thanks for a great stay!!
Absolutely loved our stay! The cabin is super cute and cozy. Everything you would need for
A week stay with your family. I loved the rustic features ! Property owners were very attentive and responsive! Will definitely be back!
This property was perfect for our family and our friends. The rooms were great and the basement was a perfect space for the teenagers! The cabin is perfectly located between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.
Wonderful host, very responsive & helpful. We enjoyed a full week of exploring around Wear's Valley (great artisan shops, general store, coffee shop, fudge & more very close to the cabin); while taking day excursions to Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg & Cades Cove.
Cabin is very dog friendly and plenty of space for small or large groups. With 3 levels inside, wrap-around porch/deck, bottom deck, side private deck -- everyone can space out & then join together inside or outside.
Only issue we had was arriving after dark. The house was dark (no lights on) as were the roads. Starting at the Dogwood neighborhood sign -- roads are the one lane narrow mountain roads. Between all the various GPS systems we used we still got really turned around (aka: LOST) which is a bit nerve racking at night after a long drive.
I mention this only as a warning to take your time & do your best to arrive before dark! Remember to unpack your patience and keep a great attitude. It's worth the driving adventure!!
Once we started exploring (in the daytime) the valley was lovely to explore and the drive to the cabin got easier and easier each day! We could have enjoyed staying in and around Wear's Valley exploring the entire week -- yet it was easy to get to the other popular destinations. Be sure to explore the National Park -- it's magical!!!
Thanks again Dave, your cabin made my 60th birthday celebration & our sister's week a fabulous & memorable week! 💕
We love this property! It is beautiful and so much fun. . It was roomy enough for the entire family, the hot tub was amazing to enjoy, kitchen was big and plenty of supplies that you need. We saw wild turkeys, all kind of birds, squirrels, chipmunks, and amazingly a huge black bear. We all would recommend this location to anyone who wants a get experience, a little privacy but with the ability to get to Gatlinburg really quick.
We had a great time in the cabin. The bedrooms were spacious. The bottom floor is where the bunks, game room and hot tub are located. We were a family of 12 and were able to all sit down and eat at the kitchen table so it has plenty of room.
We really enjoyed the stay. The only complaint is that the shower in the master bedroom is very hard to use. I almost slipped 3 times before I gave up. Also there was mud in the tub when we checked in.
We had a family trip. We had 3 large families, lots of kids and my 2 dogs. We were very comfortable. Plenty of space and things for the kids to do. We had an amazing up close bear experience. The cabin was clean and well stocked. The host was easy to communicate with and accommodating. We would definitely stay again.
Everything was great we even saw a bear on the property he came and took some of our garbage and ate it.. cabin was awesome very nice place.. the a/c didn’t get to cold but was cool enough.. hot tub only holds like 4 people but we shared it
The cabin is beautiful with a great view. We would recommend this to those who don't wanna be bothered by traffic,it is very secluded. The drive there can be stressful if its dark or bad weather. Just be patient and aware of narrow roads, very much worth the slow pace.

Online listing showed pool table in the amenities. However there was none at the property so I contacted the owner and all he said it was broken by the guest a month ago and we have couple seniors who really wanted to play pool table. So be careful with this listing.
The host were great. Great communication cabin was nice with lots of space. The distance was a little far from everything an the winding road was very tight especially if your driving a larger vehicle but we made it work an enjoyed our stay.

Booking and check in process as easy as it gets. Cabin is worn, weathered and dingy. Many items in need of repair, such as doorknobs that don't open properly, faucets that don't turn off, and broken screen doors. The property is in need of attention and repair..
