Coolview Cabin - Historic Hillside Retreat on 10 Scenic Acres!

Look no further for your new favorite Hill Country vacation destination than Coolview Cabin! This stunning 900 square foot cabin hosts up to 4 guests with 2 bedrooms and 2 baths.

Step inside and enjoy the cozy living area that includes comfy couches, a fireplace, and an HDTV. The kitchen features modern amenities is stocked with dinner and cookware and will remind you of home. The dining table comfortably seats 4.

The first bedroom offers a king-size bed as well as a wall-mounted HDTV. The first full bathroom is complete with a vanity and shower/tub combo. The charming second bedroom houses a queen-size bed, and the second bathroom includes a shower/tub combo. Outback, you'll find a quaint laundry area with a washer and dryer available for use.

Coolview Cabin rests on ten scenic acres and offers beautiful views of the countryside and valley below. The outdoor dining area and gas grill are ready for that long-awaited barbecue spread you've been waiting for. When you're ready for an adventure, enjoy the short 10-minute walk (or even shorter drive) to the Blanco River. The cabin is also only 2 miles from downtown Wimberley, and close to wineries and other local hotspots as well.

*Please note there is one marked and fenced honey bee hive down the hill from the cabin, as well as a horse that roams freely on the land.

*You must be 25 years or older to rent this property. Maximum occupancy at all times is 3-4 guests. We manage several nearby rental properties and therefore often have staff in the area. Please come and have a good time, but be aware that behavior that is disrespectful or disruptive will result in forfeiting the remainder of your stay.

*No smoking or pets are allowed on the property.
*There is a limit of 2 vehicles unless otherwise approved.

Great get away

We loved this piece of property. The name of the property is perfect, the view is really cool. If we hadn’t had plans already made we would’ve been just fine staying at the cabin. We would definitely go back.

Perfect Place for a Family Getaway

The property was perfect for our family of 4! Located close to some beautiful swimming places and the shops in Wimberly! It’s a must when visiting the Hill Country!

Great Cabin

Great place to stay. Pretty views. Cabin is comfy. We saw lots of deer. If you are looking for a quiet place in nature, this is your place. We would definitely stay here again.

Loved, loved the expansive deck and the porch swing. Fireplace could have been cleaned out, and the wi-fi was completely non-functional. Other than that, it worked great for us.

PERFECT for laid back couple’s getaway!

We LOVED our stay here! The pictures just can’t capture how beautiful this place is! The view is breathtaking and the cabin is so warm and cozy. It’s isolated enough to where it’s peaceful outside, but also close to great restaurants, beautiful vineyards, and great shopping. We will be back!

We enjoyed our 45th anniversary! Best place to stay!! Peaceful and quiet!! Beautiful views!! No close neighbors, five minutes from town!! Centrally located for day trips. Love Wimberley!! Everyone was very friendly! We will be back!! Only thing to add is an above ground pool for summer heat!!😀❤️🙏

Beautiful and charming

Lovely and charming cabin that had everything we wanted for the weekend stay! Huge patio outside with bbq grill and gazebo. We loved our stay and highly recommend. Clean and good beds. Kitchen was well equipped. Short drive to downtown Wimberly. Charming stores and good food. We had breakfast at Sugar Chack bakery both days. Loved our stay!

Wonderful Wimberley Getaway

Coolview Cabin was a perfect choice for viewing the eclipse! The large front porch and comfortable outdoor seating made for a perfect theatre for the show. Too bad Mother Nature didn't cooperate, with the cloud cover, but what we were able to experience (temperature drop, dark, and unusual animal behavior) ended up making it well worth the trip! I loved the cabin and the spectacular Hill Country view! Fantastic!

Great little cabin!

Views spectacular. A/c was as fine for the summer time in the Texas heat. Plenary of kitchen / bedroom space for us. Television and Wifi was good. Grill worked well. Need to fix the coffee pot as it doesn't brew but that's a very little thing. Close to Wimberly for Market Days. We would definitely recommend for a nice get away and would definitely go again.

Great Hill Country Get-Away

This place is wonderful. It's old but very charming. It sits on a few acres and is so private. We loved the view. The wildlife was so enjoyable. We enjoyed the deer, watched a fox playing and a black rock squirrel was an extra-special treat. We'd never heard of or seen one before. Wimberley is a great little town. If you are there on the first Sat. of the month, go to Market Day. Hundreds of vendors and great finds. You can get some great bargains.

Relaxing & wonderful

If you had a 5 star the cabin certainly deserved it! We spent so much time on the porch& deck. We watched deer, birds & butterflies all times of the day & night. House was spotless, had everything we needed except a wine opener. We bought one & left it for others! The master bedroom's bed was great. We slept so well. Bathroom was great. The 2nd bathroom shower was a little small but not a problem. Just can not say enough about what a neat place this is. We were close to downtown & also HEB. We had a hard time with the grill so I cooked the steaks inside-not a problem. Would definitely stay again. Really easy communication with the Vacay staff.

Exactly as advertised!

Coolview cabin does in fact have a cool view. It was nice to wake up in the morning and hear the birds chirping, see deer, and even a few coyotes. You are only 8 minutes away from Wimberly and Blue Hole State Park, but you feel quite in the countryside in the cabin. There were quite an abundance of bugs so make sure to bring insect repellent particularly for morning or late afternoon outings. The floor could have been cleaner upon our arrival (and truthfully we might have been hyper cognizant of the dirt and bugs on the floor due to the fact that we have a toddler who is interested in all things), but fortunately there was a broom handy. The kitchen counters have a bit of a grade so watch out if you put any eggs on the counter as they might start to roll.

Coolview Cabin

the location and property of the cabin were excellent. Clean, quiet, amazing views, lovely outdoor seating. The only negative is that the cabin is cooled with window A/C units. The unit in the larger bedroom is plenty big enough to cool that room. However, the window units in the living/kitchen area and the smaller bedroom are not big enough to cool the areas properly. Thank goodness that there was a fan that my sister used at night in the smaller bedroom. During the day, we opened the door to the larger bedroom so that the living area could benefit from the larger unit. I do realize that the temperatures were 100 plus degrees. However, with bigger A/C units it would have been more comfortable.

No refund issued — sharing to inform future guests.We stayed in early August and encountered multiple issues: bed bugs (with photo evidence), cockroaches, and a front door that didn’t close properly (which we reported). We left early, spent time and money sanitizing all our belongings, and damaged clothing in the process due to high-heat precautions. Despite raising these concerns, no refund was offered. Management claims no pest activity was found, but we stand by what we experienced. I’ve attached photos of the pests (also shared with VRBO and the hosts) and the host response to the photos. I will not post photos of our bites in this review, but photo evidence was sent to the host.Posting this so others can make an informed decision - I recommend inspecting the beds and entryways THOROUGHLY.
