Great stay!!
I'm glad I decided to stay at this property! Very nice and comfortable place. Nice and quiet neighborhood. It has everything one needs to relax and it's so close to many attractions.
We stayed here for the weekend and didn't want to come home. The bungalow was very nicely decorated and had so much more than you get at a hotel chain. We were able to take some great walks around the charming neighborhood and view all of the incredible homes constructed around the 1900s. Just steps from shopping and a wonderful coffee shop; this place served as a great way to relax and completely unwind. This neighborhood is so quiet and calm that the birds chirping in the trees took center stage. This is my top choice for lodging in Austin and I would highly recommend this to everyone. A+++
This older garage apartment provides all the essentials in an attractive, clean, quiet package. Easy walk to grocery, coffee & sweets, and great restaurants. Would stay again.
The awesome thing about Hyde Park is that it's still the funky old Austin I remember from when I lived in there in the 90's/00s and this property is a great example of all of Austin's old charm. I loved my stay here--business trip to UT with a teen in tow to revisit Austin. The interior was really nice, the beds were comfortable, the property is on a great street, and the location couldn't be better for an easy walk to UT-Austin or a quick Uber downtown. It's also only 2-3 blocks to the 7 bus line which takes you right downtown every 15 minutes. Plus, it's only a few blocks from a great bakery/coffee shop, one of my favorite long-time local Mexican restaurants (Julios), a grocery store and an Italian restaurant that still makes one of my favorite white pizzas. Also within 1ish mile walk large chain grocery stores (an HEB and Central Market) and a bit longer but equally easy walk to the "Triangle."
The property owner was also really easy to work with and really responsive to questions while booking and while we were on sight.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. I lived in Hyde Park for years and it was so very nice to be "home" again.

Wonderful!
This is a lovely place in a quiet neighborhood and in the Hyde Park section of Austin, which is full of fun restaurants and close to UT Austin and downtown. Pete was very responsive and very organized - a handy notebook tells you everything you need to know. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect neighborhood!
Needed a place to stay in the Hyde Park area and loved the treehouse! We got up each morning and took a walk in the neighborhood. Ate breakfast at Quacks and dinner at Hyde Park Bar and Grill-heaven! Perfect for two people!

Very pretty apartment and well furnished!
I liked the space. I would only offer a couple of suggestions: add some curtains in the bedroom as it's extremely bright very early in the morning. And with the color combo, it made the space hard to sleep in (until we bought eye masks). Additionally, the bedrooms could use a mirror. When you have 3 ladies in the apartment, one mirror is not enough. Other than that, it was a nice and very comfortable place to stay during our visit. Thank YOU!

great location, quiet neighborhood
This is a really cute older home - character+. The kitchen is great for simple meals. The beds are very comfortable.
The one thing we had trouble with was a lack of mirrors which made the bathroom sharing an issue for a family group attending a special occasion and needing to be photo ready. A full length mirror would be nice, as well as just a place to comb to your hair in each bedroom.
Otherwise this home is well equipped and comfortable.
The owner is very attentive with answering questions and at check-in.

Quiet and felt safe
Very quiet which is most important to us when traveling. Cute and comfortable! Location was great. Not a far drive to lots of things to do in Austin.
We could have used a mirror other than the one in the bathroom and/or a fan in the bathroom. Also the light above the front door did not work.
We would return. Thank you!

cozy, workable spot in great nabe, congenial owner
This proved to be the perfect spot for a couple who were going to be biking all over town and wanted to be near their UT-student son in an easy-going nabe with decent amenities. The space was compact and well-maintained with comfortable Ikea-style furniture and the laundry room downstairs accommodated our bikes so we didn't need to leave them on the streets. Right near the great coffee shop Quack's Bakery, a good respite when the wifi in the apartment wasn't working well. Owner Pete accessible and accommodating. We'll be back!

Clean, comfortable apartment
Pristine clean, well appointed freestanding 2 bdr apt atop garage, a common setup in Austin. Light from all 4 sides, fine kitchen. Lovely neighborhood, nicely furnished without excess, Host was very responsive. Could not hope for a better spot.

Hyding out in Hyde Park
Perfect location: Close to downtown; Quiet neighborhood, fun to walk and see the eclectic group of houses; varied choices of restaurants and bars nearby; Elizabeth Ney Museum a few blocks away. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone. Although we found everything we needed in the property, we did have questions which were promptly answered.

Like owning your own little condo in Austin
The owner was very responsive from beginning to end, yet also hands-off. We got the door key code via text the day we arrived, let ourselves into the property (which matched the description and photos), and enjoyed the next few days without a concern. The experience was like owning our own condo in Hyde Park, but better - it was cleaner than we could keep it ourselves and no maintenance hassle or property taxes!
