The house overall was clean with exception of one bedroom having used contacts on dresser and hair in shower. We had hard time unlocking the hot tub and when it was ready to use the jets would not work so we were unable to use. Overall we loved the house and had a great weekend!

Great Family Weekend!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My family of 8 truly enjoyed staying at this property for our annual vacation. It is huge and spread out over 4 floors, so you can really separate when needed. The guest/game house with theater room is an added bonus! Even though the weather was terrible and we weren't able to use the fire pit or dock/lake for swimming there was still plenty to do. A great hiking trail, pontoon boat rental and brewery with trivia on Thursday nights were only a few minutes away. Can't wait to come back during the warmer summer months. Thanks Taylor Made for a great place to stay!

Ever After--- Needs Improvement

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Taylor Made tried the best to make it a good experience, but please tell the owners we will never come back because of the condition of the place-- dirty carpets, outside deck covered in spider webs, not swept at all-- easy stuff to handle-- but for the price, we had to clean the floor with a mop-- and they came up very dirty. Also-- the dishwasher stopped working day 3-- with 3 grandkids, 11 total-- this was never fixed, although you tried-- I think the owner just wanted to go as cheap as possible-- whatever-- we made the best of it, but will never be back. I know you tried, but it takes the owner recognizing that investing a little bit of money will actually make more-- I have a number of rentals and always works that way.

Hi Russ, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. I am glad that you were pleased with our service and the location, but I apologize for the issues that you experienced. I shared this with our management team as it does not reflect our standard. Regarding the dishwasher, a part had to be ordered in order to complete the repair. This has since been resolved. I can understand your frustration, but I do hope that you will give us a second chance to provide you with a carefree stay. Best, Stacy

Girlfriends’ Reunion

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our group of high school girlfriends and spouses have been meeting annually at a different location every fall for the past 16 years. This year we chose “Ever After” as our reunion site and it did not disappoint. The home was very comfortable for our group of 11. Please note that all rooms do not have private baths and some rooms share bathrooms. There are a lot of activities in the area around Deep Creek Lake with several state parks and historical sites close by as well as grocery stores and shopping. In spite of some rainy weather remnants from hurricane Florence during the week, we had plenty to do and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Girls Weekend 2018

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Ever After is very roomy but could stand some upkeep with hot tub and tv’s. There needs to be a TV in the carriage house in the room where the futons are for anyone sleeping there, the correct TV I’d in the next room

Kroflich Family Reunion

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an amazing time! We rented a pontoon boat, so the parents and grandparents could pull their children/grandchildren on a tube around the lake, went white water rafting, and hiking around Swallow Falls. It was beautiful and relaxing!

Great Location on the Lake

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There was a trail from our property to the dock, but our actual dock space was 2 houses over. Would have never realized that from the maps we viewed ahead of time. The house had a strange smell from arrival for duration of the trip. with the huge table and benches, I think it needed a good scrubbing. When we arrived the kitchen counters and table had not been wiped. The oven did not heat correctly, the dishwasher did not release the soap, it took us a few days to figure out to just add it to the main compartment, the fridge doors in the kitchen had broken shelves which took away from out main storage fridge. The decks and outside area needed a good hosing. The carriage house was listed with a tv room, but that room was empty with no furniture or tv. The theater room was however there. I would say it was a nice house but could use some new appliances and a thorough cleaning and a powerwash outside.

Hi Jeff, Thank you for the review of Ever After. I am glad you were pleased overall, but I apologize for any issues that you experienced. The dishwasher has since been repaired and new shelves were ordered for the fridge. The furnishings from the TV room were moved into the pool table room by previous guests. We moved it back into its proper place. We appreciate your recommendation and hope to see you back at the lake again soon! Thanks again, Stacy

Fabulous house

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was fabulous! We were told house was a flat, shirt walk to the dock. Our dock was not even in front of our house. We had to walk in front of neighbors to our right, down a slope, to get to out dock! Very misleading! My sweet 84 year old Mom who paid for the house would only go down once a day! The movie house was super fun! Great bedrooms! Awesome outside table for 16!

Ever After review 7/8/2017- 815/217

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a very relaxing, enjoyable week while staying at Ever After the week of 7/8/17 to 7/15/17. Our check in was delayed because the prior tenants did not check out by the designated time. They also apparently left the house a mess, with trash through out the property. The cleaning personnel did a good job but they were not able to clean the multiple carpet stains caused by the prior occupants. They rental agents were very responsive to our service needs and checked back to make certain we were satisfied. I kitchen was well equipped with the exceptions of adequate serving dishes, the plastic bowls are too flimsy. We would also like to have had kayaks available for renters use. We have already reserved the property for next year.
Response from VrboOwner on 22 September 2023
Hi Keith! Thank you so much for your review of Ever After! I do apologize that you were not able to get into the house as expected. Our cleaning crew does try to do their best in the amount of time they are allowed. I will pass on your comments about the serving dishes to the owner. We are not able to provide kayaks due to liability but there are several spots in the area that you would be able to rent them. We will see you again next year! Regards, Lisa

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was amazing and clean. The only bad things were the restocking of the firewood, only 3 bundles a day, and cleaning of the hot tub the second day of being there. The hot tub was drained and the water sat and smelled up the entire basement area and we couldn't use the hot tub till the next day.
Response from VrboOwner on 22 September 2023
