Historical 1902 house with off-street parking. We are three blocks from the beach. Features include a private back patio with a tropical setting and Gas Grill, Wi-Fi, Smart 32" TV with DVD and Google Chromecast, washer/dryer, central air and electric heat. 1 BR with an additional pull out couch in the LR. It is located in the historic San Jacinto district of Galveston and within walking distance of many of the island's feature attractions. Free parking on the beach, with free beach umbrella and 2 chairs; on beautiful Poretto Beach. This applies to everyday for our guests; all Summer and weather permitting in the fall.

So cute! Near everything, 10-15 minute walk to the beach. Quiet neighborhood. Dishes, pots & pans if you want to cook and lots of great restruants close by!

Perfect couples getaway

We really enjoyed a weekend away and this sweet little cottage fit the bill. Surprisingly spacious, very well stocked, clean, comfy & a 5 min walk to the beach! We enjoyed the private courtyard. Nice area, close to shopping, restaurants, bars. Rhonda was the perfect host. We will definitely be back!

Cozy , and clean little house

My wife and I had a great time staying at Rhonda’s little house in Galveston. Nice, and cozy, and clean. Excellent communication between the owner Rhonda and us. We enjoyed our trip and hope to come back in the future. Recommend this little house.

Felt like home away from home

Such an adorable little house! My fiancé and I really enjoyed our stay. So conveniently located to everything especially the beach! I loved the back garden with the hanging lights. It was all so calming and allowed for the relaxation we very much needed. Rhonda made everything so easy for us and quickly responded to our needs even though she was out of state during our visit. We highly recommend this house to anyone visiting Galveston!

Perfect for Me and my Gal

Everything pictured on verbo web site was accurate. kitchen was perfect, stocked with everything you would need for preparing a meal. Bed was comfortable and room was very quiet. The outdoor patio was amazing, and the grill works. The welcome wine was a nice touch. We loved everything about the little house and will be back.

Perfect All Around

My wife and I wanted to stay in a house vs. a hotel to experience Galveston like we lived here. This little house was perfect from start to finish. Has just about anything you would need to feel at home. What is even more perfect than the house is the owners Rhonda and Rick. Pretty sure they invented southern hospitality. We were welcomed with fresh flowers and a bottle of wine. Rhonda checked to make sure we had everything we needed. You don't need to look any further after you find this house. Thanks Rhonda and Rick.

This is a great place if you like to get out of the action at the end of the day- or anytime. It is quiet and private. The front porch and back patio are great places for morning coffee and evening relaxing.

This house was perfect for a romantic getaway with my husband! Poretto beach was literally a 2 minute drive and was very nice and not over crowded. The strand is a 5 minute drive. Check in was easy. House is super cute and set up nicely. Would definitely reccomned this rental.

Baby moon trip

We had a wonderful time staying at the cute little house Rhonda provided! The house was just as pictured and located in a perfect spot right near the main seawall. The free beach access with chairs/umbrella was also such a huge bonus for us. We’d love to come back again!

Little House Memorial Day 2025

The house is cute, very clean and well maintained. It had everything we needed. The bed was actually comfortable, which hasn't always been true for VRBOs. We had zero issues.We really appreciated the vibe of the house, and felt immediately at home. When we weren't running around town, we enjoyed sitting on the front porch with cocktails and people watching. The owner was an A communicator. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Galveston.

just a little getaway

the cottage was cheerfully decorated and cozy. The bed and couch were comfortable and there was very nice seating for six on an outside patio. It has a great location very near the beach and also convenient for the downtown district. The neighborhood was nice and we always felt safe. There are plenty of nice eateries close by. We will stay there again if it's just the two of us. One or two more people could be manageable but it's best for just two. Host was very responsive and welcoming.

My Husband and I came down to Houston in 2005. We are originally from Kentucky. We fell in love with Galveston many years ago, while visiting. Of course, as soon as we moved to Houston, we made a "bee-line" to Galveston! We first became week-enders; and now live in Galveston!

Why they chose this property

We became week-enders down from Houston in 2006. We fell in love with this little house for it's 1900 charm. We went into the back yard and saw the beautiful sitting area under the giant oak trees and were SOLD….we have had many wonderful times here, with family and friends! Our Little House is in the quiet San Jacinto neighborhood on the desirable East End of Galveston. We are 3 blocks from the beach, and close to private Paretto Beach.

What makes this property unique

Large, private outdoor sitting area with OFF-STREET parking. Washer/dryer. Walking distance to restaurants and bars and beach! WE WELCOME SNOW BIRDS. Contact me for off-season rates: December, January, February (Mardi Gras) and March. i have added special rates for September and October for monthly rentals. Please choose at least 31 days to avoid hotel taxes.
