This luxurious condo is part of "The Dawn by the Beach" Condominium complex. Wake up each morning to the view of the ocean waves splashing on the shore from your bedroom window. Grab a cup of coffee in your granite/stainless steel full size kitchen. Enjoy your coffee from your personal oceanfront balcony to enjoy the Gulf of Mexico first hand. Two swimming pools (one heated) and a spa is available in the complex. Or just head out the gate to the beach. Nearby is the Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Moody Gardens, or the Historic Pleasure Pier. Really Great Spot!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this property. The host was extremely responsive, and the property was neat as a pin. In addition, everything we could have needed was right there! We will definitely consider staying there again if it's available for our next visit to Galveston.

Family Time

I come to Galveston 2-3 times a year from Pittsburgh. My son and grandchildren from Houston stayed in the condo with me. We spent time in the pool and at the beach. The view from the condo is beautiful. The condo clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything you need. I felt at home. The owner responds very quickly and is a very gracious host. I will definitely book again on one of my trips throughout the year.

Galveston trip

We had a great stay! The condo was set up just like home. Everything we needed was there. Bedding, kitchen items and towels for the bathroom, towels for the beach and pool. All the things. The one suggestion would be to add a radio, as not every one has a smartphone. We hope to stay there again.

Overall was nice

What is a nice place right off the ocean had to walk a block across the street to get to the ocean though. Please had a musty smell probably related to the moisture from the ocean, but seem to be worse than my friends condo who stayed in the same complex.

Quick weekend trip

We really enjoyed our short weekend trip to the beach! The condo was exactly as described, very clean, and has a well-stocked kitchen. The hot tub wasn't working, and I would have preferred to be told that before finding out when I arrived. The location is perfect, and I would love to go back for a longer stay!

Great place to stay in Galveston

The Dawn Condominiums are in an awesome location! The unit we stayed in was perfect for us. Ground floor, patio looks out over the ocean. We just had to cross the street for a walk on the beach or seawall. It was clean and decorated with a cute beach theme.

Great Place In Galveston

This was exactly as advertised and pictures were accurate. It is very modern and well kept. I would highly recommend this condo. The ocean was right across the street. I could sit on patio and see the ocean, as well as hear the waves.

Great location!

We absolutely loved our short weekend stay at Denise's property - the location can't be beat. If you don't want to jaywalk, you will have to walk a little bit down the road to cross over the road to the beach, but it's not far. Great spacious condo, and we absolutely loved sitting on the patio. The pools were wonderful, however a bit chilly since it was raining all weekend when we were there. We will definitely return!

This place is amazing! Perfect location Perfect Condo Perfect Host! From dealing with Denise (who answered all emails and texts promptly), to seeing the beautiful views of the beach from every room in the condo, to enjoying the heated pool and hot tub and finally enjoying our Thanksgiving dinner in the beautiful condo, it was beyond FANTASTIC! I highly recommend...We will definitely be back!

Perfect condo!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this condo. The pictures do not do it justice. It had every feature we needed and was a great location. We had our one year old twins with us and had plenty of room to set up pack-n-plays and high chairs. They loved playing on the back patio and in the grassy area. The view of the beach is beautiful from the condo. We made lots of fun memories with our boys!

Enjoyed our stay

Overall, the experience was good. Condo was as described and very well kept. You need to understand the location and realize that being right on Seawall Blvd and the ground floor location comes with traffic noise. We figured it would and was surprised to not see it mentioned in any earlier reviews. Our only problem was with check in. We arrived after dark and the outside entry was pitch dark. The only thing you have info on is a numeric code to key in but no description of the lock. We could only see what must have been an old manual keypad off to the right of the door which did not work. After calling the owner and having to wait about an hour in our car, she finally got through and apologized for the delay due weather storms. She indicated that the keypad was above the knob and if we touched it in the right place it would light up. Success! It would have been great to have that in the instructions. All else was fine.

My family and I have been traveling to Galveston for summer vacations for the past 30 years or so. We always have a wonderful time and make great memories. We have stayed at The Dawn before it never fails to be a great location. The condos are always well maintained. The property hosts are always easy to reach and very accommodating to whatever the needs there are that may arise .

Almost Perfect but....

I would definitely stay at The Dawn again.The property itself was beautiful. The community was well laid out and the location was perfect. Our patio faced the beach with immediate accessibility. The landscaping and pool areas were well maintained. The property manager was very friendly and helpful. Check-in was super easy. However, the unit we rented wasn't thoroughly cleaned before our arrival and there was sand and dead insects on the floor in the bathroom and bedroom. The owner contacted me 4 days before our check-in (when it was too late to find another place to stay OR get a refund), to say that the compressor on the AC had gone out. Each time we communicated it was taking longer than expected to "get the part". It was not fixed by the time we left. Our stay was 6 days. When I asked if the owner could possibly get a portable as a temporary fix, the response was "I'll see what I can do", then never followed up on the request. We ended up spending an extra 500 to buy our own and 2 tower fans, even though I offered at that point, I shouldn't have had to. A good host would have taken care of it.

Great location / Great Stay

Overall our stay was great. Super convenient to the beach, restaurants and shops. The pool was great and very close to the room. The only cons were, the refrigerator needed a better cleaning, the mattress was very hard and had some issues with the TV intermittently not working. Other than that, it was a great stay!
