THE NEIGHBORHOOD

Perched in St. Lucia’s attraction capital of Soufriere the home is perfectly located in a private area, with the charm of an upscale residential neighborhood. Walk to many top attractions, and drive just 5-10 minutes to all the rest!

If one town were to be the heart and soul of St Lucia, it would have to be Soufrière. Its attractions include a slew of colonial-era edifices scattered amid brightly painted wooden storefronts and a bustling seafront.

Sapphire apartment 2 has fabulous views of the Pitons from the balcony and overlooks Soufreire and the ocean. Comfortable property for you basic needs, hood communication with Janus, clean and near Anse Chastenet.

St. Lucia Trip!

This property worked great for our needs in St. Lucia! We rented a car and were mostly out and about exploring. We did have a hard time finding the location of the property so I would recommend calling when you get close to the location if you are renting a car. Besides that - do not expect a ton to be at the VRBO. It is very simple and has the necessities but you will need our own beach towel etc. Overall, our stay was great.

We stayed in Soufriere for two nights at Janus Condo. The view was amazing that was the main reason we stayed there. Janus was a great host. The condo was clean but very simple, not a lot of extras. The beds are very hard and bedding could be updated. The condo felt like it needed a few small details finished regarding the overall upkeep. Be aware it’s not the easiest place to find or get to. We had great directions from the owner so that was very helpful.

Nice but could use some additional things.

We enjoyed our stay at this location. Did notice a few things that could be done. The knife drawer needs fixing - dangerous. TV’s were difficult to operate There were no adapters for wall outlets. Website did not indicate this was only European outlets. The bedding could use a Foam toppers and should have mattress covers.

Amazing views but needs updating.

This rental has great views of Soufrière and the Pitons. Unfortunately the roof was leaking into one of the bedroom and the air conditioner was not working. There were 4 of us staying but there were only plates for 2. When we called the owner they were not very helpful/concerned. We were planning to stay for 2 nights but left after one. The owner did refund us for one night. Also needs more comfortable porch furniture.

The place was great! Beautiful view from the balcony of the town, the bay, and the Pitons. Everything else was spacious, comfortable, and worked well. Janus was friendly and very responsive with communication. He set us up with airport rides and those were easy. Our same driver, Jermal, gave us other rides throughout our week and he was great too. We also walked into town a lot. I would definitely recommend this place!

Spectacular View and Wonderful Hospitality

My husband, sister, brother-in-law and I just concluded six nights at Sapphire apt #2. Janus could not have been a more thoughtful host. He had two representatives from the rental car company lead us directly to the apartment from the airport in Vieux Fort, which was extremely helpful, especially navigating the streets of Soufriere for the first time. Keep in mind that the street up to the apartment is quite steep and bumpy, so if you’re renting a car as we did, be prepared. The apartment is clean and well equipped, including one outlet with 110 volt which was very convenient for us US residents. It is a very simple apartment but the view from the balcony is a million dollar one. We enjoyed coffee each morning and a glass of wine each evening overlooking the town and the Pitons. Sapphire was the perfect location for the first half of our St Lucian vacation. Thank you, Janus, for making our first trip to your beautiful island one we will truly never forget! Sapphire 2 was just as described...beautiful! We spent hours on the deck soaking in the view of the Pitons, the sea and Soufriere. Janus and his employees were fantastic and helped out with our arrival and transportation throughout our stay. Downtown was a 15 minute walk away or a quick cab ride.

Absolutely amazing!!!

Million dollar view doesn't even begin to describe this place! 80% of the time we were there was spent on this balcony either watching the boats in the morning or watching the beautiful sunsets every night. Janus was an exceptional host surprising us with deliveries of fresh bread and fruit. He also made himself available to help whenever we needed anything. Would absolutely recommend the Sapphire Apartment 2.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was a nice, central location to many of the popular tourist destinations. When we arrived, the villa was nice and clean. You can tell they take great pride in their facility. The view truly cannot be beat. You have a gorgeous view of the pitons from the balcony, as well as the city of Soufriere. For the price, this is a steal of a deal.

This was a great apartment. Nice and roomy with a large living room, dining area, two bedrooms with two bathrooms, nice size kitchen with lots of kitchen accessories and a large balcony with beautiful views of the bay and the surrounding mountains and hillside. You have to drive up a hill to get to the property and the road up is in good shape. The owner Janus and his staff were excellent. They were very helpful and friendly and always available if you had a question or request. They meet you in town and lead you up to the property. The area was fairly quiet. There is lot to do in the local area for sight seeing, snorkeling and hiking.

Nous étions 4 et nous avons passé 3 nuits dans ce logement. Cette location est très bien placée à Soufrière, elle offre une vue imprenable sur les Pitons et l'appartement est propre et très bien équipé. Janus est une personne de confiance, toujours disponible. Attention la route pour monter à l'appartement est un peu chaotique mais comme beaucoup de routes sur l'île.

Great views in Soufriere!

My family and I stayed at this apartment for a few days into the end of our trip back in March. Soufriere is a very humble place with breath-taking views, and this apartment is a great home base to see it all. The balcony is private and quite nice in the evenings. Our host Janus was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. He was there to greet us upon arrival, gave us the walk through of the place and showed us where we could find the basics in town. This apartment is located just outside of the downtown core which is great because we felt close enough to amenities but far enough to be able to relax in our balcony. Friday and Saturday night were specially lively in the downtown area and we were grateful to have our own little piece of paradise at the apartment. There are three ways to get to the apartment from the main road -- all of which appear in Google maps. These roads can look a bit intimidating, and they're surprisingly very different from each other but they share the usual pot holes, steep downhills or uphills. I drove a Mitsubishi Lancer -- very low ground clearance -- and I can assure you that these roads are all easily drivable, but do go slowly. My favourite road of the three was this one (coordinates: 13.858750, -61.055108), because there were fewer potholes, and no steep uphills or downhills. It's not that I was afraid of them, but my car was actually very low in ground clearance. You can get directions from these coordinates to "Sapphire Apartments, Saint Lucia" using Google maps, which should take you right to the apartments. Best beaches: - Anse Chastanet Beach. You can't miss this beach! You can register as a guest at the entrance and you can visit the restaurant, or simply enjoy the beach area. It's absolutely beautiful and private. I should note that the drive to this beach isn't for everyone. The roads are very steep... like really steep, but they're easily doable. If you're afraid of heights or aren't comfortable driving on steep hills, take a taxi :). - Sugar Beach. A beautiful beach but it's very forward about its wealth and affluence. Restaurants: check the restaurant's operating hours - Orlando's for lunch - Lifeline Restaurant at The Hummingbird for dinner - Fedo's for a lunch or early dinner - Petit Peak Restaurant: open late most days of the week and very good food

Excellent value apartment with amazing views, set overlooking a vibrant and friendly town

The apartment was fantastic and much better than we had hoped. The property was very reasonably priced and yet, as the details show, presented to a very high standard. We travelled as a family of four, with two young children (6 and 4). The apartment was spacious and well furnished for our needs. The full width balcony is a fantastic place to be, and offers the most amazing views as well as the sights and sounds of Soufriere. There is also an interesting and helpful visitors book. It provided us with the perfect base to explore all the wonders of the area and, having then moved to a hotel in the north of the island, definitely consider this apartment and Soufriere our favourite. It is worth noting we felt safe in the apartment and in Soufriere. All our communication with the owner before our trip was handled quickly and in a friendly and professional manner. We hired a car at the airport and easily arranged to meet a representative of the owner at a convenient place, who led us to the property and was extremely friendly and helpful. The access road to the property includes a short unmade and steep section, but this was not a problem even in our average saloon car. We loved our stay here and wished we had stayed longer.

We'd come again!

As advertised, The apartment was clean, comfortable, and spacious. Kitchen gadgets, cookware and dishes are provided. There was body wash, but you'll need to bring your own shampoo and conditioner. The water in the west facing shower was mainly cold, though the kitchen water was warm. There was a nice cross-breeze, and a pedestal fan, so we did not need to use the AC. Some mosquitos got us at night. It is about a mile to Diamond Falls Botanical Garden, and similar to the waterfront and beach. There is great snorkeling along the rock wall, just off of Humingbird beach. We enjoyed the volcano, sulphur springs, Tet Paul nature trail, Sugar beach and Anse Chastanet. We would definitely recommend this place to a friend who wanted a low key place to relax, that is close to the sights.
