The property was just beautiful and had everything you could want. I especially enjoyed swimming in the lake and having the pavilion to stay shaded and cool when we bbq'd and ate outside. It was completely private and peaceful which was exactly what I needed. My pups loved having all the space to run and play. The host was very responsive and all instructions and directions were clear. I would definitely return in the future.
The stay was just what was needed. The cabin was quiet and relaxing. It was one of the cleanness cabins we have stayed. The lake is beautiful and relaxing. The driveway to the cabin was wonderful to walk and relax. We enjoyed our stay.
We had a great time at this property! It was secluded and peaceful, but offered plenty of amenities and outdoor activities-volleyball, badminton, boating, fishing, just to name a few. It was so nice being right on the water, and being able to see/hear all the different birds and frogs was cool, especially at night with a campfire. We were also a short drive from grocery stores and various hiking trails, we visited Greeter Falls as recommended and loved it! This was a peaceful paradise and we highly recommend staying here!
What a slice of heaven. Calm and peaceful. Julie answered quickly to a slight issue, which which was an oversight on my part. We have explored the falls and parks. Getting back to the bungalow to chill was awesome. The extra ammenities were great. We will be back.
This was one of our best stays ever. Perfect little cabin in an ideal setting if you want peace and quiet. Close to hiking. I could have stayed forever. Will definitely go back.
My husband and I keep coming back to this wonderful property for its beautiful setting and cozy accommodations and can't wait to schedule another trip!
We stayed here for a weekend for our anniversary and this place is amazing! Perfect to get away from everyday life and just enjoy nature and good company. This place is very secluded, right by the water, nice fire pit, covered . It had everything we needed and we felt right at home. We will definitely be coming back to the banko bungalow
Gorgeous and very private setting on a little lake in rural Tennessee. The cabin itself was clean, except for the loads of dead ladybug bodies all over the floor, kitchen counters, and table.
Bed was comfortable, kitchen was very well-equipped, and host responded quickly when contacted about issue with water heater. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.
I sent this to the owner yesterday and haven’t received a response. “Hey guys, We left early this morning….my wife has severe panic attacks on really curvy roads and we weren’t able to leave Spring Hill until almost 7pm and it put us coming up the mountain road after dark which only added to her anxiety! She was in tears literally when we finally arrive a little after 9pm. Then we enter the cabin and find several items such as no switch/plug plate covers and electrical cords running here and there. It’s a miracle y’all haven’t had a fire or a child electrocuted. I snore pretty loudly and that’s why I always try to book a unit with 2 bedrooms and what do we find but the 2nd bedroom is a converted porch without any AC! Y’all might want to update your description to let folks know that it is literally a 45 min drive to any food. When I searched for a Monteagle cabin, I assumed it was “close” to our favorite restaurant Papa Ron’s but only to find out that it was a 45 min drive. Might also suggest to bring extra food as we normally just eat out all our meals when we are on a quick weekend getaway so we had a few snacks but nothing for breakfast as we planned on grabbing that but nothing anywhere close.”
This property was amazing!! If you need a break from life and just want peace and quiet this is the location for you! Cabin was very clean and had all the things needed for the stay and was very happy it was pet friendly!! Couldn’t have asked for a better place.
We wanted a quite, secluded getaway and this was exactly what we wanted. The cabin is nice and clean, kitchen has everything you need to cook and prepare food. The lake is beautiful and clean, sitting at the fire pit was so relaxing, we will definitely be going back in the future.
My mom, my dog and I stayed here and had a blast. There was plenty of nature, hiking, antiquing, good food and small town charm for all of us to have a great time. I would highly recommend a visit and we will be back.
We absolutely loved it here! Very private, peaceful, and had everything we needed. It’s a little piece of heaven! We also asked if we could stay later on Sunday, owner replied right away and we were able to enjoy the sun for a few hours longer!
We had an amazing 4 days in this beautiful cabin on the lake! We attended the Bonnaroo Music Festival and it was so beautiful to come back here to have completely solitude after being around 70,000+ people! We really enjoyed it!
This was the most peaceful, beautiful, and quiet setting I have ever been to! The lake was really nice. The water was so clear. The cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed. This was one of my top vacations all because of the wonderful stay at banjo bungalow. The owner was very quick to answer my text. We will definitely stay there again.
Had a great weekend getaway with my wife, dog, & newborn daughter for my wife & I’s anniversary. Just wanted to get outta town for a weekend for a little R&R and this place was perfect for such. Will definitely rent again in the future..
We went out for a couple of days of peace and quiet and that's exactly what we got. This place is amazing with a really nice lake stocked with some good fish. Cabin is spacious enough for 2-3 people very easily. If you are looking for a place to get away from all of the city life this is the place. We will be back for sure.

About the host
Hosted by Julie Gross
Our large and growing family needed more room so we purchased this second property on this shared private lake to accommodate our overflow of family and friends.
Why they chose this property
Nature, peaceful, water access and views and plenty of wide open space.
What makes this property unique
Banjo may not be the fanciest cabin around but she is cozy and we have something that other rentals don't have which is seclusion, peace and quiet that you won't find in other areas.
