Nestled in the trees this secluded cottage offers a slice of tranquility and relaxation. Just a few minutes’ walk from the nearest beach, or take in one of the many local attractions and beauty spots along this amazing coastline. Local picturesque seaside town of Sooke is just 12km away with fabulous restaurants, galleries and shops, offering many local facilities and possibilities including fishing excursions, kayaking, and whale watching. Port Renfrew is just an hour away with amazing beaches and parks; Botanical Bay has rich tides pools and stunning geological features. Just an hour in the opposite direction takes you to Victoria, British Columbia’s capital city, where charm and adventure await.

Property a bit dated. Overall very clean, good beds (bedrooms do get some road noise), plenty of towels. Kitchen has everything you might need. De-humidifier for cottage was provided and used. No cell coverage but WiFi available. 20 Min. drive to Sooke. Did not use BBQ so I can't comment. Plenty of games available for kids. NO TV.

Our stay on Mark and Marie's property was nothing short of magical. 4 nights didn't seem like enough - we didn't want to leave! Our almost-4 year old had the time of his life with all the animals and we really connected with all of them - especially the chickens! Our time here in nature was so deeply healing. Can't wait to come back! A few things of our own that we brought from home that elevated our experience was a small tower fan, a "mud kitchen kit" for our son to play with outside and a dark blackout curtain for naptime. There were WAY more games and activities than we had expected. All the yard games were a delightful surprise! Please say hi to my favourite hen, Vanessa, for me!

Lower rating because of: noisy highway, no screens on windows, dirty chairs and table on the deck, tub needed to be washed for a bath and the stopper not working, dirty aluminun saucers on the stove. Basically a cozy place that needs some TLC.

Our family loved this location. Our kids spent time playing with the goats, the house was very comfortable, and we were very close to a number of great beaches and hiking trails.

Fantastic home base for Sooke/Port Renfrew adventures

This was a fantastic place to make our home away from home as we explored all around Sooke and up to Port Renfrew.Cozy but had all the necessities to make it practical and a welcome retreat after a big day of adventures. Charming cozy cottage

Warm cozy cottage, very comfortable, Mark and Marie are gracious hosts, and we especially enjoyed getting to know the goats, sheep and chickens, not to mention freshly-laid eggs for breakfast. Quiet but convenient location for exploring the woods and beaches nearby.

Enchanting home

We enjoyed our stay very much. The house it well laid out, and feels like a home. All amenities are available in the kitchen. The hosts are lovely, and have a sweet farm with goats and chickens. It is a good location for driving to the many gorgeous beaches. Our favourites were: Botanical Beach, and Mystic Beach.

Family Vacation

This was our second time at Diamond Cottage within 6 months. It feels like home to us, and our daughter is obsessed with the animals. Such a wonderful place, we can’t wait to come back soon!
