The cottage is beautifully decorated and appointed. The amenities are very good, particularly the kitchen and bathroom. A very pleasant and comfortable stay. The provisions for breakfast just added to an already great experience.
Had a great time at Kenya Cottage, the fire made it super warm and cosy on a cold winter's weekend, and the kids loved the selection of board games and dvd's.
The cottage was a perfect spot to explore the area. It had everything we needed as a family and the breakfast provisions were very welcomed. We’d highly recommend staying here. Thank you to the hosts.
Fabulous older style cottage - very comfortable and quiet with a nice garden. Well equipped for self contained living. We really enjoyed our time at Kenya Cottage.
Loved this house, it was a home away from home. Love the touches of bacon and eggs and other supplies. So very thoughtful and kind. The fire was amazing, added an extra peace to an already homely feel. Loved the location, so closed to everything. Definitely is a must to stay again, enjoyed my 4 days here and was sad to have to leave. Thank you for a beautiful and peaceful 4 days.
Kenya Cottage is in a great position. We used it as a base for visiting Mole creek caves,Cradle mountain and the Lakes district. Very quiet location and we really appreciated the bacon, eggs, bread and milk.
Wonderful cottage with all amenities, walking distance to town. Great hosts with excellent communication. Overall a wonderful first leg to our Tassie trip, highly recommend. 2 couples travelling together from Melbourne on holiday
Wondeful considerate host who accomodated us a day early due to bush fires. Outstandingly beautiful cottafe, extremely comfortable and well appointed. Beautiful garden filled with flowers.toDeloraine and lots of w
As we arrived the fire was going and it felt warm and cosy. The cottage has been very nicely decorated . Walking distance to the village shops and cafe. KENYA cottage is definitely a good place to stay to explore all the valley has to offer.
I would definitely recommend staying at Kenya cottage
Old / period property, spacious, quant, well maintained and comfortable. Most stuff including your first breakfast provided. Nice gardens, wildlife and easy walk to town. Would definitely recommend :)
A fantastic holiday in a beautiful house. I collected the key as arranged and let myself in to find the log fire burning and a beautiful welcome basket of goodies which meant I didn’t need to do shopping until the next day. I highly recommend Kenya Cottage to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday in a beautiful town with great scenery and easy access to other towns and cities. The local hotel also has Guinness on tap and open log fires which is great for relaxing with a good book.
We had a great stay for 5 nights in Kenya Cottage. Slightly rustic but the cottage has everything you need and is in a great location. Walking distance to the town centre and the beautiful Meander River, the cottage itself is in a quiet street. Lovely wood fire ,we only used this one but it was very effective. Would definitely recommend this place. The only downside would be the few stairs to the bathroom and the shower was over the bath. This didn't bother us, but might be a problem for some.
We really struggled to get the fire burning hot enough to adequately heat the hoyse. Owner resonded quickly reassuring us it had been
serviced.

Hi Sandra, we are disappointed to hear you have provided a 3 star review. It wasn’t until your last night that you reached out to us about the fire. As you said, we did respond straight away and explained the fire was serviced recently and the previous guests said how wonderful the fire was. I also confirmed the instructions on how to use the fire.
There are also oil heaters in every room to assist with warming the house.

Just a fantastic place to stay. Couldn't fault a thing!
The cottage was warm and inviting and very spacious. It was a delight to stay in, and we loved every moment we were there! Thank you so much for having us.
Deloraine is centrally located to most places and things that we wanted to see in the North of Tassie. Kenya cottage was a fantastic place to stay in Deloraine...easy to find, warm and inviting with a fire if needed, and filled with touches that just made it feel like home.
Beautiful old house and garden - comfortable, clean and a great location
We loved Kenya Cottage from the moment we saw it and didn't want to leave. So much character. In early spring, the garden is gorgeous as well. Walking distance in to Deloraine's main street and down to the river for a stroll. Not far to drive to great bushwalks. Our only gripes were that the beds are quite hard and the heating isn't great if you don't want to light the fire for whatever reason (eg getting in a bit late, or going out in the evening). I suggest installing a heat pump. Also, I'd hate to see this lovely old house burn down!
