Self-cater with the equipped kitchenette (microwave, hotplate, BBQ, fridge, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, tea and coffee, kitchen essentials), or eat out at any of dozens of excellent restaurants, all within 30 minutes of the cottage.
Your accommodation features a funky retro-styled studio room with great sunlight and views of the valley and river, and a super comfortable double bed. If you are travelling with young children, we can provide a travel cot or bassinette to suit one toddler (under two) or one infant (up to 3 months) in this room.
There is a separate single bedroom for another adult or child.

About the host
Hosted by Jackie Thomas-Teague
We love living on our slice of Kiwi paradise. We've done all we can to make it a relaxing haven for us and our guests.
We grow some of our own food and make a lot of our own drinks, as well as some other self-sufficiency hobbies, such as making soap (and you get to take a bit of that home with you).
We have a young family and a farm dog. The dog might bark at visitors, he's a big softy - please ignore him until he calms down and ask you for a pat.

Why they chose this property
We were attracted to the handy location right off SH58, just minutes to Lower Hutt and Porirua, and about 20 minutes from Wellington City. The stream, trees, fields are all just perfect for relaxing, looking at the view. We think you'll love it just as much as we do.
What makes this property unique
You get to sample our home made wine and soap during your stay, all included in the price.
There are lots of places on the farm you can walk and explore, and lots of photo ops. Feel free to tag yours on Instagram #ecofarmstaynz
