Welcome to Riverside House, a peaceful and secluded retreat nestled in the Virginia countryside! Located directly across the road from the Cowpasture River, you'll have a picturesque view and some of the finest fishing/swimming in the area. Hugged with porches, the house has ample areas to enjoy the scenery or to just curl up with a good book. The 5 spacious guest rooms are elegant and feature private bathrooms. The property is connected to Fort Lewis Lodge, a full service country inn.

Activities include fishing, swimming, hiking, biking, canoeing/kayaking or just relaxing and taking in the views.

great place for time away!

We moved our annual President's Day weekend trip with friends from the Eastern Shore to the VA mountains this year and were lucky to find Riverside House. The house is perfect for a good sized group, well stocked with everything you need and located in a peaceful setting. Erin was wonderful to work with in helping to answer all of our questions.
