Thank you Simone, it was a pleasure to have you and your friends stay with us. See you again soon! Regards Wendy Old School House, Currarong
Such a lovely stay. Exceptional location. Thoughtfully appointed home. Nothing to fault. Easily the best stay away I've had in years. Thank you. (NB: the perfect weather was also greatly appreciated)
Beautiful house in a perfect location. Some quirks (fridge is quite noisy and ‘moans’, dishwasher and microwave work well but took some figuring out). An extra bedside light in the bunk room and the sunroom would be good. But we managed perfectly well. The location is to die for. Right by the rock pools with views across the bay. We spotted kangaroos, rabbits and dolphins from the lounge room! Thanks Wendy.
We have stayed at The old schoolhouse a number of times and it is always wonderful. Outstanding location, very clean and comfortable house. Feels very much like home away from home. We had great weather and it was all really relaxing. I highly recommend Wendy's beautiful house. Wendy, herself was super responsive and helpful

It’s always been a pleasure to host you and your family Megan. You will miss you now you have purchased your own holiday house on the beautiful south coast. You are always welcome back if ever you feel like a trip to Currarong.
All the best Wendy
What an incredible location so close to the gorgeous Currarong Rockpool. The old schoolhouse was the perfect holiday house with windows & doors wide open to the beauty of the peninsula. It was generously stocked with everything we needed. Thank you Wendy for a much needed break with family & friends.

Liked: Check-in, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, communication
beware! dirty, bugs in bed and no respect for guests
the house is in a prime location and a lovely old house. but run down and not clean plus although essentials are provided there is nothing that shows true hospitality. no love or care for guests, no warm welcome. on top there were not enough wine glasses, but worn plastic cups, dishwasher was not working properly, bugs and hair on mattresses on arrival,
clothes dryer was not working properly and communication with host was great upfront but then turned nasty and confrontational after our departure. overall I would not recommend for the price, not worth it, eventhough we love Currarong. been to many houses and none were this disappointing.

A most unusual review for our property as you will see from 15 years of reviews! Cleaner very unhappy as the guest had left the property in a very bad state when they checked out four hours late! They asked for a late check out. No mention of anything that they didn’t like on the last morning! All very nice ! Then as a a favour , I offered them a late check out (1.00pm). Without any extra fees. Bad mistake on my part! My cleaner was disgusted and said she’d never seen a property left by guests in a state like this! She sent me photos and called me (she never has had to do this before) Someone had also cut their hair (auburn colour) about 6 inches sitting in a salad bowl from the kitchen, which was charming for the cleaner when she arrived to clean. Not to mention blankets left outside in the rain and filthy floors, a rotten fish left in the fridge. The whole fridge had to be defrosted and then cleaned thoroughly with bleach and then cleaned again with white vinegar etc. Photos were sent to Stayz, they have agreed that some bond was to be taken. $200. The tariff the guest had paid is way below the current rates on the waterfront. Good luck to them finding anything as low as that was in the future. The whole property was left in disarray. Everything had been moved around and not put back. Left dishevelled in every way. We were very disappointed that a guest would have such low regard for someone else’s property.
Not impressed. 1 star guest.
Look at all our other reviews for a true picture. It’s funny we are booked out for most of the year and all our other guests have raved about how clean, how wonderful out cottage is. I know it was clean when the guests arrived. They failed to send me any photos of the “ insects in the beds”., that they claim were there. ??
We almost have 100% of great guests staying. This one was so disappointing.
Never again.
Peaceful , relaxing, stunning cottage, great location. stand up paddle board, Gosmans Tunnel, perfect beach., great local coffee. Loved it all. Thanks guys.
We had such a lovely holiday at The Old School House ! The location was amazing, views fantastic and it was so clean and comfortable. We will be back !

I’m pleased you enjoyed your stay at the cottage, once again! Lovely time to visit Currarong and all it has to offer! We hope you will stay again ! 🐬 Wendy
Lovely place, lovely space. Great location, views maximised in the living areas. 4 adults and we never felt cramped or on top of each other. Very comfy beds including cotton sheets, great showers. Clean and well maintained. A few minor probs with appliances (dishwasher not great, main tv complex to operate) and a lack of matching glassware takes this from 5 to 4 but we know its the end of summer and I’m sure the issues will be addressed when a lull comes.
