Siesta Key stay

Okay. Bed in 2nd room completely broken. Mattress slanted to floor. It's a good thing we also had a double in there Fan barely worked in second bedroom. Outside grounds of condo beautiful and well maintained. Beach is beautiful but is a long walk to get to it.

Awesome memories made in Siesta Key

Just returned from a week in Siesta Key and we will be back. This condo and complex was perfect for us. I traveled with my college aged kids and they loved it! Check in was super simple and condo was ready as promised. Best of both worlds as we were a short walk to private beach and had access to beautiful spot on the bay. My 23 yo son loves to fish and was thrilled to see 2 rods in the garage. He caught a variety of saltwater fish which was exciting as we are from WI. Pools were nice and not crowded…especially the small one which we used as it was close. Bathroom at pool was really nice and clean. Could go on and on…can’t wait to go back.

Cozy/private condo

My spouse and I stayed 10 days in this condo. Great location on Siesta Key. Close to everything. The condo had plenty of supplies in the kitchen that we needed and the washer/dryer in the condo was a plus. The landscaping around the condo complex is very well maintained. The free daily activities were VERY nice. We took advantage of those and the xplorie people were helpful and friendly. We knew from the photos on VRBO that the condo was a little outdated but someone should really do some deep cleaning in this unit. Not just a quick vacuum and wipe down. Also we had a hard time getting hot water anywhere in the condo except the guest bathroom. That's where we took our showers. All in all, I think we would stay here again.

In regards to the hot water, because the location of the water heater, we would advise guest to run the shower for a few minutes to give the hot water time to travel from the water heater. Summer vacation week - July 3, 2023

Upon arrival, no towels and unpleasant odor. Could not have showers after long travel day. Had to purchase air fresheners. Daughter found used bandage in her bed. Overall appearance of furnishings and carpet very dated and worn. A/C stopped working on last night of stay, and fans in front bedroom and lounge could not compensate. Cabinets could not be used for our foodstuffs because owner had made off limits with tacky locks. Families staying a week could benefit from having a pantry. Bedroom closets overflowing with linens and junk, leaving little room to hang clothing. Very long walk to a beach that is not that nice. (We took a drive to Anna Marie Island, which is so much nicer.) On the plus side, it is nice that the community has gas grills, and we highly recommend the filet from Detwiler’s Farm Market.

Hi James, we are very sorry about the mix up with the towels. We delivered a set the very next day. We are very surprised to hear about the band aid. We use a linen service for this property and they sheets are replaced with fresh ones every turnover. We will speak to our cleaners to make sure this doesn't happen again. As with many other properties, we utilize a locked closet to keep the items for turnovers. We are sorry about the AC. Nice Location, Unit Desperately Needs Updating and Good Cleaning

There were many issues with the property that made our stay less enjoyable: The unit was dirty: the bathrooms had hair on the floor, the sofas were stained, there was old popcorn in the pull out bed, and the towels were stained. Minimal amenities: limited very rundown beach stuff in garage, no starter coffee filters or laundry detergent, many cabinets in kitchen locked so limited storage for food. Needs repairs and updates: unit is very dark, everything is very old including the mirrored walls and pink kitchen countertops, lighting in both bathrooms flickered terribly and many lightbulbs were out, master bath fan barely worked and very dirty, bedroom closet doors flimsy and don't shut, lanai dirty with bird(?) droppings all over, and master bathroom toilet ran. Workout room: lock to workout room rusty and key barely worked. Location: First unit as you come in so a bit difficult to maneuver a large SUV into the small driveway. Communication: Property Management folder in unit is for another unit, location of where unit is located on property is not correct as listed on VRBO, no instructions for how to get to private beach access. The location in Siesta Key itself is very nice and the pools on the property are great.

Great Property, Easy Process

Having spent 21 days of 2021 in the hospital before April, I was more than ready to get outside, get my feet in the sand and enjoy warmth and sunshine. This rental made for the perfect place to land after days of beach combing, dolphin watching, kayaking, bike riding and more, and was the perfect way to work on health and healing. Especially since we discovered a fabulous spa, new to the area, that was a closer walk than the "private beach access." (More about that later.). Do yourself a favor and book the massage and body polish at Spa Experience! The condo was pristinely clean and very well appointed. The owners seem to have thought of everything including some books and a deck of cards. The master bed was comfortable and the community was quiet. And there was a trolley stop just north of the driveway, which we took full advantage of. Such an easy way to get to the village. A friend who lives just south joined me off and on during my 11 nights there, and my husband flew in for a long weekend. As mentioned in a previous review, the countertops ARE pink. But pink is my favorite color. It was also the favorite color of the ants who, as ants do in every home at some point each year, also joined our vacation. There were ant traps present but I think they were old and therefore not effective. We purchased Terro Ant bait traps and put out just one and by the next morning there was not an ant in sight. We loved the big comfy couches and the lanai, as well as the easy access to the pool which we often had to ourselves. The walking path was an added bonus to the property with a gorgeous view of the canal. Our only disappointment was the somewhat misleading description of the "private beach access." There was access, and it was private and I knew it was across the street and down a path. What I didn't anticipate was the distance to said private access. Or that you had to use a "key fob" to get through the gate of the property within which the gate is located. The key fob turned out to be a small plastic oval disk, which I wish had been described as such. And the instructions as to exactly how to navigate through the property to the beach access were unclear. BTW, the property security did not appreciate us two middle aged gals wandering around their grounds looking for the wizard behind the green curtain that would grant us entry to the soft, cool sand and beautiful beach. I will be back and I hope this condo is available when I come.
