Beautiful location - cabin is cozy and right on the lake. Loved watching the lake and listening to the loons from bed each morning!

Erika - I appreciate people like you who enjoy living at the water's edge. There is a special feel being next to the water, and that is why I baught this cabin years ago..I hope you return soon..
Beautiful, quiet location. James was extremely helpful during the booking process and in providing directions on how to get to the property, check-in, etc. I would highly recommend!
We loved that the property is built right up to the water, it's what drew us the Get Away Shores. We enjoyed watching the sunset and spending the day on the dock, we brought our paddle board to check out the lake. We also enjoyed watching the wildlife and the sitting in peace and quiet! The cabin's kitchen is well stocked with equipment and there is dining space both inside and outside.
Everything about the property is as advertised. It was clean, comfortable and located on gorgeous property. We enjoyed the fire pit, some swimming and it was close enough for hikes near Ely and the North Shore.
Wonderful place. Canoed every day. Not sure how comfy 6 adults would've been.

Yes I am only rated for 5 people because I am on the water's edge and I could only rebuild on the orginal foot print. It's a new cabin and smaller, but with great views from every room other than the bathroom..
We had a wonderful stay. Nordic skiing, snowshoeing , star gazing and relaxing. The most beautiful setting a cabin could be located, thanks for sharing with us. Looking forward to visiting next winter:)

Thanks for staying with us Anne. We hope you come back next winter.
We love this little cabin on the lake. The quiet, secluded area makes it ideal for relaxing. We met more neighbors this time and found everyone to be so nice! Fishing is usually really good and the swimming is wonderful with clean water and no weeds!
All we did is nothing and it was perfect. You can do more but then, you can relax and do nothing, something we all can benefit from. Lovely vacation

Why they chose this property
Lake Mitawan is private, remote, and surrounded by the most beautiful nature we've ever seen! Our neighbors are the moose, loons, foxes, and deer. It's the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of city living and unwind in the fresh air and water that is unique to the North Shore of Minnesota.
What makes this property unique
When you step out the door, you are on a dock/deck and can launch a boat, jump in the lake for a swim, cross country ski, or snowshoe right from the front deck! We make it easy to explore by providing a canoe, kayak, fishing boat, sail boat, and snowshoes. The authentic, traditional Finnish sauna is a unique experience and will be the highlight of your cozy winter weekend getaway!
