About this property
Secluded Style in Coogee Beach
This distinctive home was conceptualized by Studio Takt Architects and has fused modern practicality and comfort with elements of Zen design and architecture.
Set far back from the street this beautifully realized two-bedroom residence offers an aesthetic oasis just four blocks back from Coogee Beach and Gordon’s Bay. Architecturally designed this house is nestled at the rear of a long block of land offering privacy and views across to Randwick. The property has its own front and back landscaped garden that is maintained monthly by professional gardeners. Living spaces are generous and combine with a designer kitchen to ensure that usage is both pleasurable and practical - please note that the approach involves two flights of steps (about 30 in all) so please do factor this in if you have mobility / luggage / stroller issues.
No expense has been spared to create a copper clad home of distinction with the copper work also integrated internally in the bathroom and living areas. Fully ducted air-conditioning means that each room can be climate controlled. The bathroom has an integrated laundry with washing machine, dryer and laundry tub.
Beach, shops, supermarkets, public transport are all an easy walk from the property.
Furniture is custom designed and made to suit the property by Craft Design Realisation.
A port a cot and hi-chair are permanently available at the premises at no extra cost. This is the perfect base for a beach side holiday with easy access to cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, beach, coastal walks and public transport.

Lovely architecturally designed house climbing the hills of Coogee. Light filled and green, a nice respite from the bustle of Sydney. Close to great walks, cafes and restaurants.
We had a fabulous time staying around the Coogee area. The instructions very clear concerning entry to the property. The interior of the house was very quirky & decorated really nicely. The area was good for Coogee, Clovelly & Randwick - plus loads of buses regularly into Sydney.
A beautiful house. Great spot. Terrific facilities. A perfect beach holiday in the heart of Coogee. Lots of great walks and beaches to explore. Not to far from the city. Secluded and safe. We enjoyed our stay very much. Thank you.
We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the unique design of the Copper House. There was a wind storm that cut off power, but Jeremy was very helpful and responsive throughout the outage. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.
The cottage offered us quiet and comfort and a good deal of privacy. We particularly enjoyed the open floorplan of the kitchen and living area. Having access to a washer and dryer was a bonus!
Lovely 9 night stay.Excellent location.A few early hicups that Jeremy sorted very quickly ( need to turn on shower to get sufficient pressure for hot water ). Loved the Coogee area.
Great little property, ok for winter months but it would really shine in the summer. Looking forward to returning when its warmer so we can enjoy some beaches.
Family night away to celebrate sons birthday. Had a nice meal out and beautiful breakfast, all in walking distance. Spent the following day walking the coastal walk to Bondi.
Beautifully appointed, cosy but roomy retreat so close to the beach but also very private and quiet. Property is at end of a sloping, narrow path with a few steps so watch out for those with very elderly or very young guests, but no problems at all for most and well worth the serenity at the end.
This little house is at the back of a larger property but it is so secluded you would never really know besides the walk past the bigger house to get there. The house is so cozy and easily walkable to the beach and shops. Street parking was easy to find every day.

Beautiful home, great location!
Sadly we didn’t get to indulge in this beautiful home for very long - a quick stop over! Great location in the heart of Coogee, a short stroll to great cafes and the beach!
The house had all the amenities that we needed! A very good nights sleep had by all :) highly recommend!
An interesting property in a quiet area. Walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shops, however it is very hilly so some fitness is required. The property is at the back and is also steep with stairs so may not be suitable if you have mobility issues. The property owner was good to communicate with and obliging. If you are looking for somewhere that is quiet and is self contained this is the property for you.

Thanks for your feedback Andrea. Coogee is a coastal area historically built on sand hills so one does need to take some hills as apart of its charm and challenge.
We do note the access to this lovely, peaceful property in our listing details - a bit of a challenge if you have mobility issues as you correctly note but ..... well worth the effort in our opinion.
Thanks for yorur time and care
Jeremy 😊
This is an architectural gem in a fantastic location. We arrived in the dark and rain, which meant the access was slippery cobble stones and poor lighting. No problem for the fit and able but a balanced impaired 55 yo with us struggled. The shower has a wooden floor that she also found slippery. The polished concrete steps inside are very dark and steep for an older person. . It is otherwise exactly as advertised and I wish I had longer than two nights to enjoy the house and location

Hi Michael and thanks for your feedback. These things you've noted in your review are all correct (lighting for the remaining steps up to the copper house do need to be put on with the switch on the wall as you arrive at the second gate ........ and we do note that access is via a path with two short flights of steps .... but, as you've implied I think, well worth the effort ....... peace and green shielded privacy await 😊

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Disliked: Check-in, communication
The listing should note that there is a lot of stairs (some cobble stone) leading to the back of the property where the accommodation is. Not suitable for people with mobility issues or travellers with lots of suitcases. The walkway/stairs are poorly lit at night.Check-in was delayed due to lack of communication from our host. One of our guests was waiting over an hour outside the property for check-in details. But otherwise, property was great. Clean, comfortable and a beautiful space to wake up in.

Thanks Noah and sincere apologies for the check in complications.
We do let people know in the property description about access - here's a cut and paste from the VRBO listing:
"- please note that the approach involves two flights of steps (about 30 in all) so please do factor this in if you have mobility / luggage / stroller issues."
We feel that the gorgeousness of the property outweighs the challenge of making the journey up to it and of course the privacy and peace is lovely.
Jeremy 😊
