We look forward to welcoming you to HawkRidge Chalet. The open plan Chalet includes a warm fire set on schist stone hearth, the lounge adjoins the kitchen, which has chain hung shelves. Bespoke lighting around the chalet sets the scene for romance. A king size bed with wardrobe space & suitcase solutions. The chalet has a separate luxurious bathroom, with a chain hung vanity.
Wake up and open one eye to enjoy the stunning views of Coronet Peak and surrounding mountains or sit under cover on the large stone patio and watch the rain trickling down the rain chains. Extensive historical artefacts such as antique milk cans, farm implements, and wine barrels will transform you to a bygone era.
Take a short walk along the stone steps and through the tussocks to the private open fire area in the old ruins. Continue along the path to the private hot tub and soak away those aches and pains from a hard days skiing on the nearby slopes. The hot tub is "open air" with 360 degree alpine views and with no city lights - there’s no better way to star gaze at night or watch the twinkling lights of the ski field on the mountain above.
The Chalet has a cosy fire, heat pump & air conditioner, free WIFI, smart TV, microwave, induction element, fridge, outdoor barbeque with an additional gas element. Laundromat facilities available just a 10 minute drive away.
Please note the hot tub is shared with other guests and as we want you to be able to plan your spa we allocate either the odd hours for use (9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 5pm, 7, 9, 11 etc) or the even hours (8am, 10am, 12, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm 8pm etc) We will let you know your hours when you arrive. HawkRidge has a dedicated ski/snowboard storage and drying shed (Scott Base) for your use. HawkRidge Chalet is located on Threepwood Farm ( a rural lifestyle community, set within a 500 acre high country farm), so don’t be surprised to hear lamb’s baaing in spring or deer roaring in autumn. HawkRidge has been planted for autumn colour, native bird life and privacy. Only 5 minutes from the historical picturesque Arrowtown and 20 minutes from vibrant Queenstown.. You’ll be in the midst of the cycle & walking trails as these cross at the edge of the gate. Coronet ski field is only 20 minutes away, the Remarkables ski field is 36 minutes away and Cardona ski field is a 40 minute scenic drive up the “must see” Crown Range. Central Otago is world famous for Pinot Noir wine, with the closest wine tasting just 5 minutes away. Room is located among the hills. It has a private entrance.
Hosts are very helpful and responsive.
They baked fresh bread too for us which was very thoughtful.
Overall love the place and would definitely recommend
This little cottage was beautiful. In a very pretty location which is about a 15 minute drive from Queenstown and about 8 or 10 minutes from Arrowtown. Heaps of restaurants and walks and things to see all around this area. It was the perfect couples getaway for me and my new husband. It was warm and cosy and came complete with a outdoor hot tub with lovely views. We would totally stay here again !!! It is a real gem!!
I loved staying at Hawkridge. The view, the welcome drinks and small platter, freshly baked bread. Its just truly wonderful and magical! I’m definitely coming back
A beautifully presented chatel set amoungst stunning alphine gardens, we really loved the feeling of this little gem. Relaxing, quiet, made for an enjoyable stay, we used the spa which had epic mountain rural views . We appreciated the treats left for us to enjoy and all of the great commuication from LIsa and Doog. We will return we loved it so much. Thanks for making this part of our holiday so amazing.
We enjoyed our stay in this cosy chalet, and appreciated the trouble our hosts had gone to to welcome us, like leaving marshmallows to toast over the outdoor fire. We were surprised that the main house was closer to the chalet than we had expected, And in fact overlooks the chalet, but we never saw anybody during our 2 night stay so it was not a problem. We would stay here again.

Thank you for your review. We do our best to make every guest's stay as enjoyable as possible.
We appreciate your comments about the main house being close to the chalet. The planting of trees has filtered most of the house, and as time goes by and the trees grow, the remainder of the house should be completely screened from view.
We look forward to your return, as the property offers something different in every season, the winter has the snow, the spring - bright green growth, the glorious hot summer days and the beautiful autumn colour.
Thanks Michelle and Doog for a wonderful few days at Hawk Ridge. The chalet is warm and private with a perfect view across to Coronet Peak. We loved soaking in the spa pool and watching the stars.
Beautiful wee spot, definitely enjoyed the hot tub (shame about the clouds though).

Every season offers something different here! Winter has the snow, autumn has the coloured trees, spring has the fresh green growth, and summer has the glorious hot weather. I am sorry you hit a cloudy period.
We look forward to seeing you again in the future.
Kind regards
Michelle and Dougal Burfoot
Beautiful cottage, lovely wood stove inside, very comfortable bed with gorgeous linen, all the bits and bobs you need to hide away for a week, smashing view from the bed onto coronet peak. Loved it!
