Set amongst 17 acres of dense bush, but only 4 km from restaurants and coffee shops, Stanthorpe Country Resort is the ultimate accommodation for groups in the Granite Belt wine region.

Ideally suited to large groups, the resort sleeps 12 people in 6 queen size beds, in 6 separate bedrooms, and is so large you never feel crowded.

When you finish visiting the wineries for the day, why not relax in the hot spa, sit by the fireplace, or challenge your friends to a game of snooker on our full size table?

Enjoy a movie or the football in our home theatre, with floor to ceiling screen.

You have exclusive use of the facilities - there is no-one else on the property to disturb you. We offer a 11am checkout so you can take your time on Sunday and enjoy the day rather than rushing to leave.

While here, you should take the time to visit the many award winning wineries and other attractions of the region. A variety of local tour operators will pick you up from the front door.

An oasis within the bush

A peaceful location with the wilderness just outside your front door. Our stay in Stanthorpe was relaxing, rejuvenating, and an opportunity for our family to reconnect after the rigours of a semester of schooling and work. Although visiting in the winter months, we were nevertheless able to enjoy the outdoor spa and sauna during the day, sitting on the front lawn and stargazing at night, and huddling in front of the fireplace once we were done with both. An enjoyable time for all.

Family Festival Getaway

House was very spacious which suited our family. Especially the entertainment room. Was a bit disappointed that the outside area was not well maintained. Would recommend the property when you are looking for somewhere to stay.

Amazing house!

Our group of 3 couples and 2 babies stayed here for a long weekend this May. The house was better than described! So much space, the kitchen was very well equipped and the other facilities were all great. We especially enjoyed the media and games room - just like a private cinema! The tennis court was also a hit. We will happily return here on our next Stanthorpe holiday!

Ssshhhh, don't tell everybody!!

Fourth time I've stayed at this property. Whilst being an older, rough around the edges type of place you can not want for anything. Just a great place to take a great bunch of mates for a great time. I will be very unhappy when the owner moves back in full time as the surrounding areas are just delightful to visit.

Comfortable house in a quiet rural location

The house was very comfortable for our group of seven adults. Great fireplace which kept the whole house warm. Good kitchen facilities. Comfy beds. However, the external spa was not safe to use. Looked like it had never been cleaned. It smelled bad and was unsafe to use. Apart from that, everything was good

Ladies hiking trip

Had a lovely stay. We will definitely be back. Great place for a group setting. Enjoyed the fact hiking was only 30 min easy drive away and that we could come home to a fire, electric blankets, comfy beds and hot showers. The home caters for a large group well. The home in itself is very tired and in need of some love but was comfortable. The only disappointment was the spa as we were looking for a good soak after hiking all day. It would not heat and kept coming up with an error. We had instructions to reset but it just wouldn’t. All in all thank you Bob for your great communication. The notes were extremely helpful and we all had a great long weekend away in a great location.

Great house with so much potential

Overall we enjoyed our stay... But at the risk of sounding negative, there were quite a few things wrong with this place that just really unsettled us - and a rotten half decayed possum at the back door hanging form one of the trees was what welcomed us to this property. When the owner was notified, he was quick to get someone out, but the cleaner showed up with a feral attitude, and instead of removing the rotton possum from the property, put it in the large skip bin adjacent to the shed- so when we removed our luggage on check out - imagine our welcoming scent when we tried to deposit the garbage. The house itself was warm and cosy, but rather dark as no sunlight was able to get into the house. It would also not hurt to get a lick of paint on the inside. The pool was rank and not fit to swim in, but on the other hand, the spa and sauna were very nice. They also had a fridge in the media room that after the electricians had to be called as the power kept tripping, was found to be faulty. After 2 days the power was fixed and we attempted to watch a movie in the media room, but the previous tenants had removed some cables and we were unable to use it. At almost $500 a night, we're underwhelmed - we would have at least accepted an apology - but we didn't get anything back when reported to the owner on check-out. Not going to return.

Big house in heart of wine country

Fourth stay at this property. It’s a big house with good facilities. Central to Stanthorpe and wineries but just out of town enough to feel like you’re in the country. Love the big TV and games room.

Perfect country getaway

This house truly has it all - fully equipped inside and out. Very comfortable, perfect for a group of friends or a large family. Perfect location - close to wineries and all that Stanthorpe has to offer. Bob was very accommodating and very easy to deal with. Thank you Bob - you’re house is an absolute gem. We will be back!

Fantastic

It was a great place to stay for 4 retired couples. Close to town and all that the Granite Belt has to offer, wineries, chesses, etc. Well set up for our own cooking and just relaxing each evening. Lovely peaceful setting. Could have done with a mop being supplied to clean up water on the floor usually caused by emptying the dishwasher (it accumulates on the bottom of cups and glasses)

Country house great, road not so good.

House was comfortable and clean. Although the house needs a bit of maintenance. Unfortunately the road from main road to house was very tough and definitely needs an overhaul. As all three vehicles were not 4x4s getting in and out of the property was very, very slow going. The road had some deep holes. I would not recommend this property to my friends until the road was improved.

Lovely quiet location, lots of wildlife, fantastic pool

Due to the unexpected extreme heat we lived mainly in the lounge/dining room and the pool. No bedrooms air conditioned only stand fans . Lovely big kitchen with everything possible supplied. Unable to use the media and pool table room as the conditioners were not working. Dirt track from road to property very uneven surface not great for a normal car.

Don't tell everyone but this place is GREAT!!!

The house was fantastic, plenty of room for everyone. While we enjoyed a glass a win, the kids enjoyed playing tennis all day. The Media room was great, watching the NRL State of Origin on the big screen was just like being at the game. The only issue we had was the Spa, was not heating up properly but this was very minor. We will definitely be going back , this is an absolute jewel for Stanthorpe, but don't tell everyone

Amazing House

We loved this house, it was so much more than the description. Awesome for kids and although it was freezing in Stanthorpe, the house was well equipped and we were WARM. Thankyou Bob, you were really accommodating and helpful, we will be back.

Well What Can I Say

What an incredible house! We stayed here only a week ago and it had more than enough facilities to keep the 9 of us entertained, the only thing we regret is not booking for longer to enjoy being in the house a little longer. Bob the owner was the most helpful, kind owner I have ever had the pleasure do deal with. Loved this house so much we are looking at booking it again in November so we can enjoy a warmer stay in beautiful Stanthorpe.
