In a few minutes, the beach track takes you to the Pacific Ocean and a more than 10 km stretch of pristine east coast beach. For a relaxed beach-side getaway, SANDS beach house is the ultimate destination.

Fun in the sun!

Sands beach house B was everything and more, very comfortable beds, exceptionally clean and more extras than expected. Beach was 5 minutes walk, shops close by for groceries or takeout. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to return, lovely experience had by all!

Exactly what we needed.

Great property with everything you need for a great stay. Communication with the Manager was perfect and made everything so much easier. We had a couple of hiccups but the Manager responded straight away and these did not dampen our stay one little bit! Recommend.

Fabulous

We had an amazing 4 days at Sands Beach House. The house itself was well appointed with everything we needed for our stay. We especially liked how well equipped the kitchen was (as we cooked most of our meals at the house). The beach is only 200m walk away and there were rarely more than a handful of other people swimming even though the beach was flagged and patrolled. We would definitely stay here again - oh! and absolutely loved the outside shower after our time at the beach!

Very uncomfortable

We hired the house knowing it had air conditioning which is one bedroom. You would expect the property to at least have fans, we got to Queensland on a 37 degree day with fans that don’t even work at capacity. The house was so humid that it set my sons asthma off. And when consulting with the owner she did not care. It was disgusting and terrible as a host. Would not recommend, lovely house and location but. When I stated to owner that it had no form of cooling she pretty much said it was my problem and stopped replying to my emails.

Lovely for small family

The property is in very good condition including the furnishings and items available for the beach. The outdoor shower is ideal for post beach wash downs. The only small criticisms we have are that all bedrooms need air conditioning to be comfortable through the night (currently only the main bedroom has it), the bed bases creak, and the mattresses could be more comfortable, possibly by making a topper available for all mattresses.

Perfect family holiday

We had a fantastic stay at Sands Beach house B. The house itself was exceptionally well equipped with everything we needed. Loads of games, boogie boards and bikes to use. Even the pillows were the best of any place we’ve stayed at. The little touches like providing shampoo and conditioner and washing powder along with quality towels and beach towels was greatly appreciated. The location is perfect. Very quiet area with short walk to the beach. The beach is patrolled during holidays. It’s a quiet stretch of beach as there is no carpark here so mostly locals walking to the beach. We enjoyed the safety of the patrolled beach with very few (sometimes no one else) at the beach. It meant not dodging other swimmers when boogie boarding snd loads of room for cricket etc. The beach has fairly strong currents but is quite shallow but would be the only consideration if you were not confident in the water. The communication with the manager and owner was fabulous. The manager even lent me a cake tin to bake a cake for Christmas. I highly recommend this property (or perhaps I shouldn’t recommend so highly so it won’t be booked out when we want to book it again in the future 🤣. It is definitely a perfect spot for a family holiday. Thanks for a great holiday

Great Stay!!

Sands Beach house was a great place to stay and exactly as described when making my booking. Short stroll or bike ride to local shops and the beach access right across the road. Definitely a must for those that don’t want a small hotel room with everything you need provided. One small suggestion is a couple more blankets for those of us that feel the cold at night but overall an excellent experience!!

Nice house, nice location - close to the beach

We stayed with 4 adults and 3 kids in the house and had plenty of space. As it was raining fairly often, we did stay in and around the house for quite some time. The kids enjoyed the many games and kids toys which were available and also the body boards. The house is well equiped with a few extras and also the area is nice.

Our 3rd stay at Sands......the weather was disappointing for the entire week so we got to "stay" at Sands most days. Very comfortable with everything on hand. Looking at a 4th stay February or March next year. Friendly, quiet area with lots of birds in the bush near beach. Walk to Curlys @ Breeze, great for breakfast/lunch or afternoon coffee. Sands is perfect.

Excellent property and location

I cannot express how wonderful this home is. The location is perfect, you can hear the sound of the waves and the short walk (80 metres) is the most beautiful boardwalk! The home was extremely clean and modern and had more than enough utensils and little extra touches that made it even more special. There are a couple of excellent cafe/restaurants a short walk including Curlys and The Little Boat in Marcoola and Default restaurant - all excellent quality food and fantastic friendly service. This home and location is simply perfect!!!! Would definitely visit again!

Love Love Loved it!!!!

Let me start by saying I have never written a review ever before & I have stayed at some lovely ( & not so lovely ) spots. But this place was perfect & being a new property there weren't many reviews so I didn't know what to expect. The location is perfect. You could walk barefooted to the beach every morning!! I was sceptical because when I looked the property up on the map I could see it wasn't far from the airport. I never even heard a plane, just the sound of the ocean! Bliss! Booking was easy with Susan returning all of my emails promptly & Jan was delightful, helping us whenever needed. Even putting up a Christmas tree for us. Much to my little girls delight. Now I am slightly OCD when it comes to cleanliness & have been know to bring my own linen in case the property is not up to scratch (crazy I know). The linen is luxurious & the house is spotless. I was completely comfortable & very happy! We rode bikes everyday, had dinner at some lovely local spots & spent the day at the beach ( it is patrolled so we always felt safe) It was fun & relaxing for the whole family including our four legged fur baby. I have a feeling we will be coming back time & time again. :-)

I love the peaceful area. This is a place where you can sleep through the night uninterrupted by artificial noise. The nature strip between the house and the beach is magnificent - cool and a great place to ride, run or walk.

The neighbours are super friendly. Locals here tend to have a healthier outlook than their city cousins.

Need to stay in Brisbane? Let me know. These a great little apartments (1 or 2 bedrooms) in Kangaroo Point, Brisbane, Queensland. They have the best of both worlds - walking distance to the CBD, but far enough away that the grounds have a pool, tennis court, BBQs, gym and gardens. Next to the iconic Story Bridge Hotel, close to local shops and cafes.

You can go for long walks along the river, take a 5 minute ferry to the city.
