A River Cottage is ideally located in a tranquil setting with an easy 800m walk to town by road or walk along the river through the forest to town. Being in the heart of Margaret River all the features of the region are within easy reach.

All conveniences are included in this three-bedroom house to make for a very relaxing and wonderful holiday. Two of the bedrooms have queen size beds with the third bedroom having a bunk bed with a double bed below. It is a family friendly place accessed by a private road so the children can play outside and ride bikes or scooters very safely. Bring a kayak and paddle on the Margaret River 100m from your doorstep.

You can sit on the balcony with a glass of wine and take in the quietness of the natural bush or enjoy a relaxing walk by the river.

Visit a winery, go to some galleries, explore nearby caves and relax at the wonderful beaches these things and more are at your doorstep when you stay at A River Cottage.

Had an absolute fantastic stay. Close to everything but so quiet at the same time. Property had everything we needed and check in and out was a breeze. I know where to stay next time I come to Margaret River!!

Great location and very homely

Beautiful three level homely property, lots of reverse cycle. A/C to keep us warm. A short stroll into town and also even closer is Barrett Weir, a freshwater swimming place and beautiful tracks to explore. The cottage was well equipped and also had a washing machine and dryer which we ended up needing. Plenty of books, games and Netflix to keep us occupied at night. Will definitely stay here again.

Perfect little getaway

Great location amongst the trees but still in walking distance to the town centre. Had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay! The balcony outside two of the bedrooms was a lovely space to sit and read a book with a morning coffee. Would stay here again. Highly recommend!

Lovely house on the edge of town

Lovely house, in a bush setting on the edge of town. Loved sitting out on the balcony watching and listening to the birds. Very spacious, equipped with everything we needed.Highly recommended.

Family fun

Loved the location close to town but can also ride your bikes straight out along the river trails or kayak in the river near the house. Comfy beds and good shower. Very basic kitchen. Very peaceful.

short 4 night stay

Located in a quiet secluded spot only a short walk to town. Excellent accommodation very comfortable and everything provided for a self catered break. Plenty of colourful birds to admire. We all had a great stay. Only small gripe was the speed humps hit bottom of car twice.

We were 2 couples. Found the place clean, great location and ample room. The only complaint was the oven. It was old and dangerous. The door gets too hot to touch and even with the fans on the smoke alarm went off. Really needs to be updated. Everything else was perfect

We feel very comfortable in this cottage.

Everything was so clean and whatever was needed was there. The beds were fantastic and the terrace was our favorite spot. The path through the bush to the center was so brilliant. A nice walk to eat or buy something. In the morning the colorful parrots came for breakfast to pick up their apple. We would come again!! Thanks again

Quiet little hideaway in Margaret River

The property had all the comforts of home that we needed and was in a quiet location which was perfect for the getaway we were after. No complaints with the amenities - we were very happy during our stay. Only issue we had was the speed bumps to get into the property. We drove in in our sedan type vehicle and the speed bumps are quite high so had to endure the scraping on the bottom of the car every time we returned to the property. So if you're planning to book this property, just make note of that - I don't think the property owners have anything to do with that aspect but it's just something to take note of. Overall we've had a pleasant stay. Thanks very much for letting us use your beautiful home.

Cousins' catchup

The accommodation was better than we thought it would be. Everything was supplied. It is close to the centre of Margaret River, which is also a great central point to visit other areas of the South West.
