Holiday House - Forest in the Town

COVID-19 Risk Management
This premises is cleaned and sanitised by SeaSponge Cleaning using the environmental cleaning and disinfection principals for COVID-19. All employees have been certified in infection control cleaning and have scheduled extra cleaning during this global pandemic for your safety.

Nestled in a forest setting, Holiday House is only 800m from town and 300m from the Barret Weir on the beautiful Margaret River. An ideal location to savour the delights of the shops and eating houses in the town; direct access to bush tracks for walking and cycling, and the river for swimming and canoeing.

A ten minute drive gets to the beach at Prevelly, with its delightful Greek Orthodox chapel, donated in recognition of the role of the Monks of the Preveli Monastery in Crete during WWII. Visit the many wineries and other great local attractions, maybe using the guided tours available from the Tourist Centre.

Pets may be accepted at the owner's discretion.

Set Up

The house is upside-down! Thus the upstairs contains the main living/dining area, the kitchen, and the master bedroom and on-suite bathroom, with a toilet accessible from the living area. The views are of the tree tops.

Downstairs has two bedrooms, a double and a twin, a bathroom/utility room, and a second living area opening onto the generous balcony with outdoor setting and barbecue.

Overview

This spacious house was built a few years ago by the owners, and nestles comfortably in its bush setting. The house is bright and airy, free from the noise of city life. We wish our guests a happy and peaceful stay, hoping they will spread the word about us and this beautiful area.

Please note that the base price is for a maximum of 4 guests. Because of extra linen etc, extra guests attract a payment of $25 per person per night.

Leavers stay
The property was nice and spacious. I stayed with a few friends during leavers week, and the location was just near the town which was convenient. It’s comfortable and would recommend to others wanting to stay in Margaret river.

About the host

Host profile image
From the owner - Liz Williams:
Originally from Liverpool. I have lived in Australia since 1977.
I am now retired, but was a Hospital Social Worker, specialising in Aged Care.
In retirement I have leased the property to Kirkland Parton Pty Ltd, and Mr Bruce Murray is the manager. Although he is shown as a new member (2019), he has been assisting me with bookings on Stayz, and then HomeAway since April 2016.

Why they chose this property

Liz bought the Margaret River property as an empty lot in 2004, and built the house in 2007. She had it solely as a holiday home for some years before entering the short term rental market in 2015.
She liked the location of the property for its convenience and ambiance.
