Over all our stay was really enjoyable with amwzijg view of lake maquarie. The only downfall would be the lack of updated amenities especially the downstairs area, the bedrooms are quite old and sofa is quite dirty with the tv not working. Besides all that we were able to move on and still enjoy our stay. The views made up for it.

Very very good location and wonderful view for the lake. Great sand beach with kayaks, swimming pool and Jacuzzi are the best love for kids. Private Jetty is most popular for adults fishing and crabbing. The best holiday house in this season. Very recommended and will re-book later.

We have just spent a week at Beach Rd and had a wonderful time. The grandkids loved the pool and fishing from the jetty. It was well stocked with toiletries, linen and kitchen staples. Loved it so much we hope to return again this year

Awesome place

The house was amazing and beautiful. It accommodate to kids and adults. Kids loved the pool and kayaking. Fishing was great just of the private jetty. Highly recommend this house.

The house was filthy the moment we walked in all dust everywhere and dead cockroaches in every room of the house oven wasnt cleaned kitchen oven door was broken and on the floor upon arrival pool wasnt clean had to clean ourselfs charged us extra because of extra linen we used from the cupboard, some bread left on the grass for birds to eat and cleaning that was never done before hand claimed she inspected the house before arriving but that was a lie as she wouldve seen all of the dust and dead insects in the house very disappointing experience will never go back again the fact owner has lied about inspecting the house before arriving and claiming it was spotless which is a lie

Great property… only 2 small downfalls Property wasn’t vacuumed as the vacuum in garage was broken , garage door was very loud due to people prior to us reversing into it , and the main bedroom sheets had bloood on them.Other than that great property very lovely lady to deal with thanks Jane

Weekend away with friends and family

We found our stay at Jan’s place to one to remember. The kids and all of us really enjoyed our time at their place, kids had a ball with the swimming pool and jacuzzi. And to top it off, there was a private jetty which allowed us to dock our boats for some great fishing. Would highly recommend Jan’s place to others. Thanks again

Unclean Unlivable False Advertising DO NOT STAY

Do not stay at this property. It is falsely advertised. We arrived upon check in to find an unclean dirty house and unswimmable pool. This is NO LUXURY stay and we did not stay with our families. Some of the issues we faced: There were pistachio nut shells on the floor. My son is anaphylactic to some types of nuts. This was a potential major health hazard. One of the oven handles was not attached upon arrival, rendering it unusable. The floor boards were covered in foot prints and grime, not clean for a crawling toddler. The bed our kids were meant to be sleeping in had pubic hair all over the sheets. There were random clumps of hair on the floor throughout the house which confirms the floor was not vacuumed. There was mashed banana and peel in the couch amongst an abundance of dirty stains. The pool appeared to have algae, dirt and calcium stains all over in which the owner's family confirmed they have had trouble with it in the past. The water did not appear to be balanced. This is a huge infection (ear, nose, throat) to put our children in it. We own and maintain our own pools so speak with knowledge on these issues. Jan (owner) gave us an emergency number to contact if we had any issues. When we rang Scott with our concerns and mentioned the state of the pool he told us he had cleaned the pool the day prior and it was "sparkling". He then antagonised us by replying "would you like me to paint the pool"? Empty alcohol bottles in the kitchen cupboard and 4 council bins full of rubbish and empty bottles on the kerb. Dead cockroachs in master bedroom. After getting no ownership of the issues from Jan or any resolution via Wattsapp we proceeded to try and call Jan, got no answer and she did not call back. Pool gate lock was flimsy presenting a huge safety risk for our children. We have photo evidence to prove the state of the house. Jan the owner refused to accept any responsibility and would not offer us a refund for our booking. She did not care for the position we were in. The owner, Jan, incorrectly told "homeaway" a "professional cleaning crew" was on the way. Her brother and sister turned up, without any cleaning equipment and in thongs and board shorts, and proceeded to tell us the cleanliness of the house and pool was fine. Scott (who is family to Jan), walked in picked up the banana from the couch and said problem rectified! These same people are the ones who supposedly cleaned the house prior to our arrival.

Family Friendly and Beautiful Location

If you ever are looking for a house that accommodates young children - this would be it! The house and its location is in prime position for fishing, kayaking and swimming. The kids loved being able to wake up and going to for fish and then enjoying collecting shells along the lake shore followed by some swimming in the fantastic pool. The children were entertained all day spending their time enjoying the outdoors. The view is picturesque both morning and night especially from the outdoor entertainment area. The house is extremely spacious and has all the things a family needs on a getaway. The neighbours and owners are extremely friendly and it is an easy drive from Sydney. We definitely will be back when we can get away again.

Beautiful water property in a very quite area. Very clean. Family enjoyed the pool, kayaking in the lake, fishing off the jetty in the yard and the Wi-Fi came in very handy for the older kids. Will definitely come back!

Excellent Property

We stayed for 3 days and this house was amazing. Fantastic facilities, well presented, comfortable & clean. Kitchen and living spaces are great but we spent most of out time outdoors enjoying the sun by the pool with the barbeque. The location is second to none on the lake. The jetty was great for the Jetski and fishing with kayaks provided. Will definitely come back in the future and strongly recommend the house. NB - Neighbours are friendly too.

This guest booked for 5 people and had more than 10 stay. Yes the pool was not pristine but we had a pool guy there the same day to fix it. Thanks for leaving the dead crab and chop bone in the pool, Classy! Also the amount of rubbish left and the condition of the house after this stay was disturbing we would not have these guests again.

I like to ensure your stay is an unforgettable experience and being from the area I have lots of information to share.

Why they chose this property

The property is amazing as soon as you walk through the front door you are met with the most beautiful view of the lake. The house has it own infinity pool and a beautiful sandy beach which is perfect for little ones to dip their toes. And for the bigger kids we have a jetty to fish from. There are an amazing amount of fish in the lake and also dolphins and I even saw a seal recently.

What makes this property unique

This is a modern architectually designed home. The amazing views are from all 3 levels and waking up to the beautiful sunrise still blows me away each time I stay. There are beautiful walks along the lake and the house is perfect if you have your own boat as we have a mooring to tie up to.
