Back for the 2023 season/offseason with numerous upgrades including back yard deck access from the Master Bedroom and guest Queen Bedroom with a 6 Person Island Spa Hot Tub!

Beautiful and New Upgrades including Fridge, Microwave, Dishwasher, Washer and Dryer and Additional bedroom on the ground floor with private entry. This home features a large open living, dining, and kitchen area with room for the whole crew! Easy living on one level!

A large Master Bedroom with a NEW King bed, walk in closet, private bath with Jacuzzi Tub, Flat Screen TV, and access to the back covered lanai with Sound views.
The second bedroom has a Queen bed Flat Screen TV with its own direct access to the back lanai to relax and watch the beautiful Topsail Island sunsets.
The third bedroom has a NEW Queen size bed Flat Screen TV and private closet. There is also a full bathroom between the second and third bedrooms.
The fourth bedroom has a Queen Size Bed and TV with internet access for Net Flix, Amazon Prime, or streaming TV.

Enjoy the sunrise while rocking on the front porch and sipping coffee! On the ground floor, there is a private bedroom, large sectional sofa, flat screen TV, a ping pong table and a full bathroom.
For extra sleeping, this room has a twin over futon bunk bed and a day bed w/trundle. Under the decks is a cool space for a game of darts, cornhole, outdoor ping pong, or just relaxing in a Swing and enjoying the breeze!

There is direct beach access only a two blocks away! Enjoy the public playground park across the street, live entertainment two blocks away, and a quaint market for forgotten and daily items. This location has it all!

Disappointing

The house was not properly cleaned before arrival. Lots of pet hair through out the house. Trash cans in kitchen had mold on lids. All the rugs through out the home were stained and not cleaned before our visit. The house states it accommodates 13 but has 7 forks . The master bathroom shower doors are not attached to the the track and toilet sit is coming off the hinge. The bikes listed for use were unable to be ridden because the chains were off and extremely rusted. I know the salt air will do that but we cold not make it work. Several pieces of outdoor furniture were rusted to the point of falling apart, a table leg fell off during our stay. It is in a great location, just not happy with the conditions of the house.

We loved the location as well as the house itself! Owners were great to work with! Had a great time!

Loved the location. Very convenient to everything. Very spacious and we loved the front porch. We spent a lot of time out there loving the view and it's peacefulness. ..loved the decor too.

Great location for a family!

All in all house was good! Close to beach, park and attractions, good price, open floor plan for being together, plenty of space, owners were very quick to respond to concerns and questions, updated refrigerator was nice, WiFi TVs great for finding movies for kids..... Suggestions of broom, mop, cleaning solution available for guests to clean during stay, better cleaning during their turnover, leaving adequate toilet paper and trash bags for week or letting renters know to bring these, better mattresses. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely stay here again !

Perfect home away from home!

We had a wonderful vacation at Something About Mary! This was our first time using VRBO, and we are very pleased! The house was very neat & clean, nicely furnished, and close walking distance to the beach! The owners are extremely kind, and we would gladly stay at this property again!

Great, feels like home, clean, friendly owners, wonderful location!!

We had a wonderful Easter weekend with 2 of our military children and families. We have a marine at Le Jeune and an airman at Langley so this was a good meeting point for all to spend the Easter holiday. It is well stocked with everything you would need to prepare a family dinner as we had our Easter feast. We loved the extra large table which is unusual we have found in rentals such as these. Loved our time and are already planning on trying to come back this summer!! Thanks to the wonderful owners.... who always responded back with answers to questions very quickly and even allowed us an earlier check in . Also the playground was great for our littles to run off some energy in the evening after dinner!! Not sure how they still had energy after the beach days we had but they did!! A great time was definitely had by all!!

We do have pets and they are frequently at the property. If you have dog allergies, we have the house professionally cleaned before and after every stay to remove dog hair, but if you have severe allergies this house may not work for your stay.

What makes this property unique

You will love this location for the numerous amenities blocks away. There is a Friendly Mart two blocks away with two restaurants for eating out. You can also bike to town a few miles away for shopping, ice cream, or more dining. Kids will enjoy the ability to walk to the arcade or playground just down the street and the sound of live music will entertain you as you watch the sunsets off the back porch/lanai. Mornings will bring coffee, sunrises, and a short walk to the beach for a morning stroll. Close to everything to make a great vacation, a pool table, darts, cornhole and Two beach cruisers available. Come enjoy and relax for a while!
