About this property

Absolute waterfront beach house with massive deck - family and dog friendly

Dress circle waterfront location in gorgeous Scotts Head with huge deck overlooking Little Beach (which is just metres away).

Fully furnished and fitted out as a 'home' rather than a holiday house. Modern, well supplied kitchen, spacious open design to accommodate 8 persons and well behaved pets on request. Internal and external dining settings for 8 and BBQ on the deck.

There are 4 bedrooms with various configurations. And top quality linen supplied for your stay.

The living area has comfy couches and a day bed with tv and dvd player and many books, games and dvds.

For those that like to stay connected laptops/ipads can be tethered to your phone.

Scotts Head is about half way between Sydney and Brisbane. The new freeway is now complete from Sydney to Scotts takes about 5 hours. However, there are many great places to stop and explore on the way.

Scotts Head is close to picturesque countryside with places like Bellingen an easy day trip away.

Shopping is easy and there is a local butcher, baker and fishmonger in Scotts Head itself as well as a supermarket (open 7 days), bottleshop, cafes and bowling club. For a more extensive range Macksville is only 15 minutes or so drive away with a Woolworths open 7 days from 7am to 10pm.

This is a stunning property. The ocean views are sensational and we could not ask to be closer to a pretty little protected beach for swimming. To top it all off, the village is just a five minute walk. We felt very much at home on the deck, watching whales and dolphins frolicking. We can’t wait to get back!

Blown away by location and the ocean views. Great deck for relaxing. Beautiful walkable beaches, local eateries and shops. Property manager and owner both absolutely awesome, friendly people. We had a great Christmas in July. Highly recommend a stay!

We had a brilliant stay! Lovely Beachy vibe house with amazing balcony and views. Loved having breakfast outside and hearing the waves crash. Well stocked kitchen, 2 dining tables, and ample space for 4 adults, a toddler and very happy doggy. We all had a great time and wish we had booked longer than 3 nights!!!

Wonderful week at Headlands

We really enjoyed our stay at Headlands. It is a cosy, welcoming cottage with a beautiful outlook located conveniently close to coffee shop and beach. The owners have ensured that all accommodation needs are met in every detail. The two dogs had a wonderful time too! We'll be back.

The location at headlands is second to none, absolute beach/headland unobstructed views. The house is perfectly suited for a small or large family and small dog. Stunning location . Beautiful home

We have finished our week long stay at Headlands house. Set on a most stunning headland with amazing views. The house was beautifully appointed with all the amenities and space for the 7 of us to enjoy. The living area onto the huge deck made for relaxing daytimes , with the constant views. Our hosts were excellent! Prompt and friendly responses to all messages and a seamless check in/check out. Thank you ! We’ll be back !

Perfect Scotts Head location

The house location is idyllic and the huge deck makes the most of the outlook to the beach and headland. The house itself is very well appointed and the kitchen perfect for preparing big family dinners. Two bathrooms, one with a separate toilet means there is never a queue. The separate bedroom beside the entry was perfect for a young family who never had to worry that the 20 month old would wake the house through the night. Overall very homey feel and comfortable. Definitely recommend the house to a group looking to make the most of a stay in Scotts Head.

Great View, Great Location to Beach Cleanliness an issue, dirty floors, dead bugs, dirty oven, dirty fans, bins in bedrooms had not been emptied from previous guests, cupboard infested with ants. Note, although "pet friendly", it does not have a fenced yard.

We had a wonderful time at Headlands. The house and views are incredible in any weather. A 30 second walk to a beautiful beach and we were able to enjoy a holiday with our beloved pooch. I thought the house was perfectly set up and just the right amount of casual zhoosh.

With a huge deck overlooking the ocean & stunning Elephant Head cove, the Headlands is one of the top spots to stay in Scotts Head. Bonus is pets are welcome so the whole family can really relax here.

We live in Sydney and have 4 children - 3 of whom have now finished school. We have been going up to Scotts Head for family holidays since 2003 for at least 2 weeks every year. Our dog comes with us and has an absolute ball as there are so many leash free beach areas for long walks.

Why they chose this property

We were fortunate enough to be able to purchase Headlands on one of our holidays when staying next door. We were delighted to be able to lock in the tradition of coming to the same place every year (having rented a number of different properties in Scotts Head over the years).

In particular, Headlands' location being absolute waterfront with a huge deck with a 200 degree ocean view is special. The closeness to Little Beach, a beach which one can often have to oneself, is a big plus. However, it is also close to Main Beach which is perfect for littlies (and where we went when our kids were small). Main Beach is patrolled during the summer.



What makes this property unique

Scotts Head is a place to recharge the batteries and Headlands is the perfect house to do this. It has extensive water views (and if you are there at the right time you can catch the whales migrating and/or dolphins cavorting).

The house is ocean facing with the deck living/eating space and 2 of the bedrooms all looking out over the ocean. The kitchen is very well equipped and we find that we rarely go out for dinner because we love to cook at Headlands and can source great local produce.
