True North is one of the few properties in Australia that offers absolute beach front ocean views, a sundrenched north facing aspect and your own private staircase to the pristine sands and waters of Tilbury Cove , Culburra Beach.

We named the place "True North" because the views over the beach from the backyard are literally facing towards "true north".

True North caters perfectly for families with young or older children, couples, getaways with friends and weekend romantic stays. It sleeps up to 10 people (though we prefer bookings of 8) and pets are welcome.

We have just completed a full refurbishment of the property that includes a state of the art new kitchen with absolute views over Tilbury Cove, newly fitted bathrooms, new bedrooms, under floor heating throughout all tiled areas, air conditioning in the main kitchen/dining area, an undercover electric vehicle fast charger station, and a designer outdoor shower with some of the best beach side views you can ask for. We of course also have a high speed Wi Fi internet connection for binge watching your favourite series or for "working from home"!

The property is located at the best end of Culburra Beach in protected Tilbury Cove. This makes its location perfect for young children to safely play in the water, for whale and dolphin watching from our elevated position, for keen anglers to fish from and for surfers to take on some of the finest swells on offer on the South Coast.

True North’s northerly views stretch over the length of Culburra Beach all the way through to Crookhaven Heads, Seven Mile Beach and on to the Gerroa Headland. The view from its elevated position on the headland makes True North the perfect place for whale, dolphin and seal watching all day long…and you can keep an eye on the kids (or the dog!) out on the beach without having to leave the back yard!

True North offers a combination of indoor and outdoor living areas that take full advantage of the property’s unique location. The lounge, dining and kitchen all overlook the beach and ocean and are ideal for entertaining and casual living. The main bedroom also overlooks the beach. There are three other large bedrooms with built ins in the main house, and a sleep out, with its own powder room, that is ideal for guests, children or extended family.

The property is fully fenced front and back making it pet friendly and of course safe and secure for young children.

At True North we offer comfortable mattresses on all our beds and a full linen service making bedtime almost as inviting as the views!

The kitchen has double ovens and an induction cooktop, dishwasher, coffee machine, fridge, microwave and great cookware. Cooking here will be as comfortable as cooking at home, except you'll have great ocean views to inspire you while you prepare a feast for the household or a snack for yourself to enjoy on the deck in the sunshine. Our Weber barbecue will also keep the barbecue master happy too.

The living area has a large smart TV connected to high speed internet so all you need to do is log in to your itunes or Netflix account to rent or watch the latest movies and TV series on offer. The TV of course also receives all the local free to air channels. A portable sound system is available for blue tooth connection to your music library or music streaming service to allow you and your friends to enjoy your favourite tunes out on the deck or anywhere else in house at the touch of your device.

Please note:

Preference will be given to bookings over the Summer, public and school holidays that are for a minimum stays of 7 nights. A two night minimum booking period applies to weekends except where a Friday night has been booked by a weekday guest, and then it is possible to take only the Saturday night.

The town of Culburra Beach is situated on NSW's picturesque south coast just over two hours drive from Sydney. Culburra Beach’s shopping strip is three minutes from True North. It includes a Woolworths anchored shopping complex ensuring all of your holiday requirements can be readily obtained on any day of the week. There is good coffee available from the from local cafes (if you don’t wish to use the coffee machine at True North!) famous oysters and fresh seafood from nearby Greenwell Point, five golf courses within a short drive and of course sensational swimming, surfing and fishing at Culburra Beach off your front door step!
