About this property

Pelican View - waterfront

This quaint 70's waterfront shack has 2 bedrooms with queen size beds. The master bedroom has views looking out over the river. There is a separate sleep out under the main roof with another queen bed and 2 singles. Attached to this is the old Boat Shed where you will find an 8 ball table & darts board. There is one bathroom and a laundry with a drinks fridge. The open plan living area including a well equipped kitchen, dining and lounge room, also has water views.

The property is located at the beginning of the Coorong near the Murray Mouth. You can launch your own boat off the Mundoo Channel public boat launch just down the road then tie up at the jetty right in front of the property. Goolwa is 10 minutes away, with Middleton and Pt Elliot a little further on. Enjoy all their attractions including bakeries, restaurants, cafes, beaches and markets.

The front yard facing the water's edge is not fully fenced and so we suggest the property is not suitable for families with very small children. The rear yard is fully fenced and has ample parking.

Tenants to bring sheets, pillow cases and towels.

Fantastic riverfront location

Great pet friendly house. The dogs loved the easy access to the water. House was exactly as advertised. Would definitely stay again.

Peaceful

Beautifully renovated shack, with an enclosed backyard which was perfect for our dog. Excellent location for boating and boat ramp being nearby being a bonus. We enjoyed our stay, the shack is in a stunning and peaceful location.

Perfect location for a getaway

Nice location ...

Unfortunately this property was disappointing and not up to Stayz usual standards.Lounge furniture was grubby and blanket throws used to try to cover/hide the dirtiness. Cushions were also filthy.Carpet in bedrooms had stains & smelt bad (possibly pet urine). Pedestal fan was covered in dust. BBQ wasn't big enough to cook for 7 people. Tiled floors also need a good clean mop. Overall we did not have a pleasant stay because of these factors.On a good note, the view was lovely. A/Cons worked well. Kitchen nicely equipped, bathroom & toilet were clean. Beds were comfortable. However we would not stay here again.

Peaceful

Nicely renovated inside. Lovely aspect sheltered from south easterly winds which was the best bit. Very quiet. Need to drive to get to shops or restaurants but only 10 mins. Not great for walking near the property but if you're into chilling and watching birds on the water and if you have your own kayak or sup it is a nice spot. kayakayak/sup a great spot.

A little piece of paradise

We loved the location and spent a lot of time just watching the birds and enjoying the peacefulness. The property was very clean and perfect for our needs. Good communication with the hosts and would love to stay here again.

Fantastic location. Great house.

Really enjoyed our stay at Pelican View. Place has a fantastic open kitchen, dining and lounge area which overlooks the channel. Bathroom and kitchen area is modern with lots of room. Awesome separate 'kids / teens' area with pool table, dart board and bedroom which our lot enjoyed. Our dog loved it as well. Fished on the jetty and caught a couple of nice salmon trout and bream.

We really enjoyed our 5 days. The house was comfortable, clean, well equipped and spacious. We loved being able to walk out onto the jetty and fish. We caught beautiful bream for 2 meals.

Had a fabulous time. Kids loved the jetty and the water. The dogs had a blast mingling with the other dogs in the hood! House was clean and well equipped. Looking forward to coming back!

Beautiful, quiet spot

Views over the water were ever changing and so relaxing. The house was comfortable and very clean. Lots of space. We had everything we needed, including a fantastic coffee machine.

Birdwatchers dream

Beautiful spot. The property was exactly as described and equipped with absolutely everything needed to have a perfect short break. With 3 greyhounds the place was fully enclosed and plenty of garden space for sniffs and safe relaxing holidays for the four legged pets.

Very peaceful stay

Main living and sleeping areas have been recently renovated and are clean and comfortable. Sleep out is straight out of the 60s...very retro and reminded me of staying at my grandparents' place. Secure yard for the dog. Great place to sit out overlooking the water and watch the world go by. Bird life was amazing. Tied the boat to the private jetty and launched the kayaks from the shore. Had a great time.

Lovely get away.

Main house was very clean and comfortable. The sleep out was little rough and musty, while the games room / shed area would have benefitted from a sweep for cobwebs and dust. Excellent kitchen facilities, a stunning view and generous, communicative hosts made the weekend stay a wonderful experience.
