Zara's Lakeside Getaway

Zara's Lakeside Getaway is a luxury pet friendly beach house set on Lake Victoria. Our house is a short distance to the beautiful 90-mile surf beach, which is approximately an 8-minute drive past the bakery and then over Lake Reeve.
A great location for fishing, boating, bush walking, swimming or just relaxing on the lake or beach. The Lakeview Bar and Bistro is across the road and other eateries are close by and within easy walking distance. There's a couple of general stores/supermarket and chemist a short distance from our house, just in case you forgot to take something.
Open plan comfortable living upstairs with uninterrupted lake views from the living area or from the large outdoor decking where you can just relax and have a BBQ.
Property fully fenced and dog friendly with a sizable yard.
Pet owners must ask permission before taking pets to our house and take full responsibility for them. Particularly important to clean up after your fury friends.
Outdoor shower at rear.
Can sleep up to 11 people.
Two generous sized bathrooms.
All bedrooms with a view of the lake.
Bedroom 1 (ground level) - Double Bed
Bedroom 2 - (ground level) five single beds consisting of (two bunks and a trundle)
Bedroom 3 - (ground level) Double Bed & Porta Cot
Bedroom 4 - (first level) Queen Size Bed with television.
Portable electric fans provided. Portable heaters provided.
Hair Dryer provided.
All doonas, pillows and bed linen supplied, beds are made up for you. PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR OWN BATHROOM TOWELS AND TOILETRIES AS THEY ARE NOT PROVIDED. Bathroom hand towels and bathroom floor mats provided. Kitchen tea towels are also provided.
DVD player and a vast selection of movies provided in the TV cabinet.
Lots of board games are located in the cupboard opposite the upstairs bathroom.
A front load washing machine provided but please use the 30-minute cycle to save water.
Open plan living area with a dining table setting for eight people and an outdoor table for four provided.
Fully appointed kitchen including cooking utensils, microwave, kettle, toaster, sandwich maker, dishwasher and Delonghi Nespresso coffee pod machine with complimentary coffee capsules provided.
Clothesline - laundry trough, ironing board and iron located in the laundry cupboard.
Separate toilets ground and first level.
Heating and cooling via split system in the upstairs living area.
Large first level outdoor decking with BBQ overlooking lake with Water Views.
Rear decking ground level with table and four chairs.
Strictly NO smoking inside.
We do not have the internet or WiFi.
Rates are based on two guests.

Another great stay

8 adults stayed at Zara's as we've done a few times before. The property is clean and comfortable and is in a great position withe the pub very close and a quick walk to the supermarket and coffee shop.

The house was clean, comfortable and warm. Perfect for family getaway or just to recharge and have a peaceful time. We stayed 3nights at this beautiful home over Melbourne cup weekend. Beautiful views of lake Victoria, very close to the pub. My daughters loved being so close to bike track & loved going for daily rides down to the park & supermarket for an ice cream. I highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in a beautiful modern home with the perfect loch sport location. We would love to stay again in the future

Loved unwinding here

Loch Sport is the perfect place to quietly slow down. We spent 6 nights at Zara's and thoroughly enjoyed our time. Zara's is also just across the road from the beachs of Lake Victoria. It's also a stones throw from the Lakeview Bar and Bistro which we visited twice for dinner. We also sat outside one day for lunch while visiting the beach. Zara's was clean, welcoming and had everything we needed including a large BBQ on the deck. We'll be back.

Great House

This house is very clean, well maintained both inside and out. All the ammenities were there to make our stay relaxing, comfortable and most enjoyable.The upper deck has beautiful views of Lake Victoria and we had perfect weather. I missed the website that said guests had to provide their own towels. Fortunately I was able to provide them from my own hose...otherwise it would be a bit of problem??? (There are no drapery shops in Loch Sport!) For the price paid, I believe towels could have been included. Otherwise I highly recommend this property.

Great house with all the home away from home needs and great location as well

We stayed over the Easter weekend & were very pleased with how much the house had to offer. We were 3 families with 5 kids under 10 & a dog. Firstly the location was perfect & we could easily walk to the beach/lake where the water was so calm or stop at the local pub & sit outside & keep an eye on the kids & the dog & still enjoy ourselves. The house itself had everything you could ask for & the utensils and appliances were clean & not grimy like some other properties. There were also those little things like dishwasher tablets & cleaning products provided as well as water bottles which meant we had quite a bit to not worry about on our stay. The bedrooms were a good size & mattress and linens provided were clean and comfortable. And plenty of cupboard space. The only negative in the bedrooms was storage as the cupboards didn't have enough hangers & there weren't drawers or hooks to hang clothes The only feedback for an even better experience were - 1) Get wifi, as mobile signal on some networks (e.g. Vodafone) was poor which made it difficult to communicate with anyone back at the property. 2) Get DVDs suited for kids or toys or art & craft as there is nothing but free to air due to no wifi & though there are board games, the kids would tend to get a little bored. We got lucky with the amazing weather & our kids just tired themselves outdoors which is great. But overall an amazing holiday and Charles kept in touch with us to check in and check out.Thank you again
