This Resting place, Cabin has 3 bedrooms, a large loft area 2 bathrooms, kitchen, and living room. The garage has a washer and dryer and we have full decks front and back to BBQ and sit around and enjoy the peace and beauty. Our fire-pit is perfect for night time family or friendship sharing.
Great for family reunions! Time to get back in touch with life and loved ones!
We are tucked away, just under 2 miles down a dirt road, yet only an hour from Branson, MO. famous for it's many great activities and shows. As well as one hour in the opposite direction to Fayetteville: Rogers & Bentonville is home to our famous Crystal Bridges Museum. And of course Eureka Springs is even closer and always a hit to visit.
We are pretty centralized in location about an hour or less from shopping, nightlife, outdoor attraction and river enjoyment of all types. Canoe the Buffalo River. Enjoy scenic Jasper and Ponca, just 25 minutes away.
We are located 2 miles off Hwy 21. Locally, we're just a couple miles from the Kings River, for hiking and fishing, and the Buffalo National River reception area is home to popular attractions like the Lost Valley Hiking Trail, the Boxley Valley Elk Herd, the Ponca Elk Education Center and the Upper Buffalo Mountain Biking Trails.
Plenty to keep you busy in all directions. Or just enjoy the peace of being in the Ozarks with all our animals and us. We would love to have you stay at The Resting Place Cabin! Hope to see you soon!

About the host

Pete & Lynda Bowers, pictured above are the owners.
We enjoy traveling up the hill to our home and waving or stopping to introduce ourselves to our different guest. Love seeing children enjoying themselves playing outdoors and catching pollywogs in our pounds and other fun old fashion things kids used to enjoy doing.

Why they chose this property
Pete and Lynda's goal for purchasing Mountain Valley Ranch was providing a safe and peaceful place others could stay on site and relax, read, walk, watch animals and find respite in peace and quietness.
What makes this property unique
We have failed to hear one guest over the past 11 years say they wish they could hear all the sounds of cars, busy streets and loudness. NO, they say, they love the quietness and the peace provided through the sounds of natural breezes through the trees, the sound of our creeks and streams, livestock running up and down our hills and our lovely birds. Travelers love our porches with beautiful views. A time to reflect while greatly enjoying life in a quite tranquil setting.
