Our Cottage, named "The Dog House" is a little gem in the heart of MIchigan City. This property is a guest house of a larger home that is in the vacation community of Beachwalk Resort Community. Located only 1 mile from the Casino, the outlet mall, the zoo, the Marina, and the downtown area of Michigan City, this is a prime location for whatever your plans are while in town. Also, you have full access to all of the offerings of Beachwalk (seasonal), including the pool, fishing ponds, playgrounds, tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts, Lake Kai, and the private Beachwalk entrance to our stunning beach on Lake Michigan. This home is completely separate from the main house, and is located above the 2-car garage. This can be rented together with the main house (Ruby's Lakehouse), or as a separate rental. Equipped with a full kitchen and bath, laundry, and modern amenities, this is a perfect little house for 1-2 couples or families of 5 or less. There is 1 large common main room which has a king bed and sofa sleeper, a full kitchen, and flat screen TV with Hulu and Netflix. Please note: there is not a separate private bedroom. The loft is not accessible for renters, and is not a separate sleeping space. There is a small screened-in porch with seating for 3. There is typically parking for 1-2, and a golf cart may be available to rent for an additional charge. Garage space may also be available upon request. This home is in a perfect location within Beachwalk, which has 175 homes. Our home is only a couple blocks to the Lake Michigan beach, and 1 block from the pool, snack shop, tennis courts, and more! We are lucky to have a quiet street in a very busy neighborhood. We provide a wagon, beach chairs, and an umbrella for your convenience. It's the perfect little cottage for a beach getaway!
