Pioneer Lodge - close to derby bike tracks

Pioneer Lodge is a bed & breakfast with. 5 bedrooms and is self-contained with an open fire. Located in Northeast Tassie. Group bookings work well and we offer 2 queen beds, 1 double bed and 4 single beds. All common areas are shared.
We are close to Derby bike tracks, Pioneer lake is a 5min walk from here and is great for water sports and trout fishing. The little blue lake is 5min drive. You can walk to cube rock a 2 hour walk with a fantastic view, we are 45min from Bay of fires. Pioneer formerly known as Bradshaw's Creek was a tin mining town with 4000 residents in its day and this was the best pub around. The pub shut in 1991 and re-opened as Pioneer lodge in 2012, its a charming old place.

Never ever returning

The place has a very bad odour smell, no ventilation. It is pretty run down, not very clean and no internet access. Not worth the money paid and certainly would not come back or recommend to anyone else.

Great little gem of a place

Totally valuable for the price tag, and even better than the photos suggested. Easily accessible from the main road. Friendly and kind host.
