About this property

Corsair Cottage- Opposite beach

A classic beach house in a great spot. Corsair Cottage has 2 bedrooms, 1 with a queen bed and the other with twin bunks, sleeping 6 in total.

Cross the road & it's about a 300m walk to a sheltered swimming and dog friendly beach. Less than a 30 min beachfront boulevard stroll to Pt Lonsdale shops & the same distance to Queenscliff. You can choose whether you stroll along the dog beach, through the Moonahs via 'Lovers walk' or along the shores of Swan Bay.

Rinse off from the surf in the outdoor shower or at night lay back in the outdoor bath under stars listening to the surf.

Corsair Cottage is perfect for kids. It's opposite the beach, room to run and play in the front yard or cubby and it is a few hundred metres to a skate park and marine discovery centre which has great school holiday programs. The property is well connected to various kid safe bike and scooter trails.

Please BYO linen including sheets, towels and tea towels. Pillows and doonas are provided.

Off street parking is available out the front of the property.

The property is a great holiday for your dogs too. Many say the dog beach opposite is one of the best in the state, the best part is you don’t need to load wet and sandy dogs into your car. The property is fully fenced. Pets are welcome inside, we just ask that you keep them off furniture and clean up after them.

Please note: As we are in a residential area and friendly with our neighbours, we do not accept schoolies groups, hens or bucks parties or functions of any sort.

Great stay at Corsair Cottage

Really Really enjoyed my stay here. Very well set up for families and pets. Every appliance, book or toy you could want was here.Host was welcoming and provided clear instructions on need to supply bedding and towels. I highly recommend this accommodation and wouls love to stay here again!

Dog Beach Heaven

Small cabin style house that was tidy and had everything we needed. Nice yard area for the dog but no covered area outdoors. Short walk to the best dog beach in the state. Doggy heaven. Really enjoyed our stay.

Doggy beach getaway

Location is perfect - so close to the designated doggy beach for our fur baby and close to the Adventure Park waterslides for our son. We instantly felt at home - the cottage is clean, the beds are comfortable and the dog toy and rocky road welcome gifts were a nice touch. Thank you!

Our dog loved being so close to the beach! Property is in an ideal location to use as a base for exploring the surrounding areas. House had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay.

Great stay at Queenscliff

We enjoyed our stay , and found the holiday home had all that we needed . The weather was not the best but we were able to explore the area and the beach . It was handy to be near the dog beach for our small dog .

Perfect Location!

This was a great house for a weekend away with the family. Walking distance to Point Lonsdale for a coffee, the skate park for our son and the beautiful dog beach for our fluffies. The accommodation was very comfortable with everything we needed.

Great Weekender

Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale are lovely places to visit. This was a great place to spend the long weekend. Across the road from the beach and the communication with owner was quick and easy.

Mini break by the beach

Great location if you have dogs. It's only a short walk to a safe off lead dog beach. Main road is quite busy and noisy. Accom is more than adequate but could do with a paint job and new curtains and blinds. Would visit again though as location is great.

Dogs' haven

The two of us and our two dogs had a lovely weekend at the Corsair Cottage. The beautiful dog's beach just opposite was the best. The bed was comfortable and the living room spacious. We didn't make use of the cooking facilities as there were lots of restaurant options so close either in Pt Lonsdale or Queenscliff. We had relaxing evenings in the front garden, looking at the stars but we were not brave enough to use the outside bath, especially now that there is another house at the back, LOL. Overall, a nice relaxing weekend with our furry babies.

Very Dissappointed

We were totally dissappointed about being woken up at 7:00am on our first morning with builders noise , nail guns, loud music and large crane delivery overlooking the back fence. Seriously major construction going on with tradies standing on roof and looking into the back yard. Had we known the extent of building and noise and the complete loss of our privacy we would not have booked at all. Our dogs went completely off tap and we were unable to do anything but isolate them inside the house till we packed up and left. We believe we were decieved by not being informed of this prior to or during our booking and full payment using the stayz website. The owners just happened to mention the neighbours were building, when they sent us the key access code just prior to our arrival, BUT NOT before we booked and made full payment. We were not expecting that level of inordinate disruption to our holiday. It was a very unhappy start to our wedding anniversary, with my wife in tears.

A host that went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great. The TV had issues and he offered to be there in 30 minutes with a new one. And an amazing dog beach within 5 minutes walk is a huge bonus !

An amazing experience

Kind, prompt and clear communication with the host is important to me. The host exceeded my expectations and was ever so welcoming. I rate this as my best experience communicating with the hosts. The property was incredibly clean with all the necessaries needed catered for. The beds comfy. I loved listening to the ocean and being visited by sweet wrens. The walking path along the beach is a minute away and shops local. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Suited us perfectly

We are a retired couple with our dog. The cottage was a little older than I expected but it was nicely done up. It perfectly suited us. The couch was comfortable, so was the bed. The heater was used as the evenings are getting cooler. We were very comfortable. The security of the fences was great for our peace of mind as it is on a main road. Short walking distance to the dog beach and the shops. We shall return.

Lovely place - wish we could have stayed longer

The property has everything you need . The living space is spacious & sunny. The large garden is completely dog proofed & it was such a bonus the property is dog friendly . Especially as it’s opposite a gorgeous dog beach. The hosts are lovely & welcoming. The property is close to restaurants & cafes and an easy walk to the beach . Couldn’t ask for more !

Queenscliff short/long stay

The location of the property was excellent and I enjoyed lots of walks along the beach area with my little dog and we had a wonderful time. You could hear the beach waves at times and the high tides with really strong wind meant for spectacular waves.

Great Winter Escape

Great location for daily walks to the dog beach and family bike rides to either Queenscliff or Port Lonsdale and beyond. Hoping for a summer visit. Catherine the host made us feel very welcome with great communication. Perfect place for a getaway with the family dog!!
