The Waterfront Cottage of Port Stephens

The Waterfront Cottage is the perfect place to kick back and relax or an enjoyable romantic getaway by the water. Wake up to the breathtaking panoramic views of Port Stephens, and dine in the open sea breeze. Relax and let the day pass, listen to the birds, watch the dolphins, turtles, pelicans, seagulls and kangaroos, or enjoy one or two drink watching the amazing sunset from the balcony.

The cottage is conveniently located, only a 2-hour drive from Sydney and just a short drive to all facilities. With less than 15 minutes drive to a fully stocked Coles, bottle shop, café, great restaurants, local seafood outlets, oyster bars and the local RSL Club. There is a service station about 5 minutes drive north for something quick, like bread and milk.

The famous Anna Bay beach is an approximate 35 minutes drive with exciting activities like ride-on camel tours, sand dune surfing and 4WD tours.

Love water sport? Bring your boat, jet ski and fishing gears. There are 2 well-facilitated boat ramps nearby, and the closer one is less than 10 minutes drive away.

Want something to keep the kids entertained? There are two small beaches only 100 meters away from the cottage, an excellent and safe place for kids to swim, play and fish. Moreover, the community tennis court, the basketball court, cricket ground/handball court and playground with slides are only a 15 minutes walk away.

We do our best to make you feel at home and supply all fresh bedding linen, bath towels for each guest, plus essential pantry items at no extra cost. A professional housekeeper spends over 4 hours thoroughly clean the cottage after each guest stays, make the beds and reload fresh towels.

The entire cottage is available for you and your family/guests to use. The cottage is set up to cater to two families or one with children. It consists of 3 bedrooms, 2 with queen bed and the third room equipped with a single bed and a bunk bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric cooktop, oven, grill, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster, a dishwasher, pots and utilities. An outdoor BBQ with gas bottles are available for you to enjoy a fun Aussie family lunch.

The best view! Check-in was super easy and the place was perfect for a few days of relax. The property could do with some updating as it is tired in a lot of places. Very clean though and the owner was super responsive about a small issue we had. Overall it is a great place to stay

Beautiful vista

Scenic, serene - the perfect escape.

The property lived up to it's exciting description, and the family had a relaxing time away. Perfect for families with young children, as you can watch the dolphins or sea turtles from the verandah, or venture a few hundred metres down the road to a waveless beach. Thank you to our wonderful hosts!

Best place for hiding

This is best property to hide from your routine life. Best waterfront view with peaceful atmosphere. And at the sunset it turns into another world.

Amazing house with amazing views

This is one of the best houses we have stayed in. An amazing house with quality furniture and finishing and a breathtaking view. We even saw dolphins swim right in front of the house. We will definitely come back!

Perfect Getaway

We had the best time at this beautiful place! Our highlight was watching the sunset, seeing dolphins, stingrays and even a penguin! Kenny was incredibly accomodating and replied instantly to enquires. We decided to extend our stay while we were here, we just weren’t ready to leave. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Such a beautiful home in such an incredible location! Right on the water, we even got to enjoy watching the dolphins go by at sunset. Kenny was incredibly good at communicating, any questions or enquires he responded straight away! Thank you for having us!

Waterfront stay

The view is lovely and the sunsets are amazing. Some instructions for how to use the washer/dryer combo would have been appreciated as were there for over a week and needed to use it. The property is just missing some of the finer details that we have had at other places we have stayed.

Stunning n beautiful ocean view ftom Balcony! Generously linen provided/ Very nicely each n everything you need in kitchen is presented, most of Spices are there! Very big screen TV , Netflix fast paced internet provided!! I will say 10/10 rating! definitely will contact them again to stay in a beautiful property! Rent is bit expensive though..🤪

Idelic serenity

We thank you so much.....Your property is beautifully peaceful and relaxing....We even saw dolphins swimming past......The bed was very comfortable and the big telly and netflix was perfect for rainy stay-in days. Lovely well set up kitchen and appliances.......and of course that view......you can see it from 3 sides! My only concern was when we were enjoying a meal together on the deck a spider climbed on me from the cobwebs on the deck. Luckily John saw it and managed to get round the table to get it off me. I don't know if this suggestion is helpful....on our house we get it sprayed every two years. It is fantastic ......we have not had any spider webs on the house for years. Thank you again....You have a beautiful House that is very well set up and amazing views.

Great experience

We stayed in March 2022. The photos don't do the property justice. It is a fantastic waterfront location. The kitchen is absolutely fully equipped. Quality linen provided. Very comfortable matrasses. TV with Netflix and very good wifi. We will be back for sure.

Amazing home & View

The pictures on this listing doesn't do this place justice. When we stayed at Kenny's house, the view was amazing, the house was clean and he had provided us with all the basic necessities which is amazing. When we stayed over there was a lot of raining for at least 3 days, however, we thoroughly enjoyed it because of the view. Getting in contact with Kenny was super easy, as well. Thank you so much! We will definitely come here again.

Our Stay at North Arm Cove

The house was perfect and the Host could not have been more helpful. I think when advertised it should be noted that there are no shops at all at North Arm Cove to purchase provisions, and that you would be well advised to bring everything with you. Having to cross the M1 to get to shops or a beach is a negative as not having been to North Arm Cove before, we were not aware just how far the beaches and shops were. It's a great venue for older people, however, I believe anyone with kids maybe disappointed as there is basically no where to swim.
