Mansfield on the Manning Banksia Cabin 1 - self contained riverfront cabin

Mansfield on the Manning is a boutique rural retreat just 3 hours north of Sydney. Set in 16 acres on the banks of the Manning River, this tranquil resort has 4 self-contained properties to suit couples, families and small groups.

Relaxing Banksia Cabin has a Queen ensuite bedroom on the ground floor and a loft with 2 king singles. There is a spacious open plan living/ dining room and a well equipped kitchen with small fridge, Smeg oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, Nespresso machine, cookware, crockery, cutlery, dinnerware and glasses. There is reverse cycle heating/aircon.

All bedding and towels are provided and beautiful toiletries in the bathroom.

There is a flat screen TV, radio and free wifi.

The Cabin has a wraparound deck with further outdoor seating, outside dining and a Weber bbq. It has its own firepit and seating area for enjoying sundowners and toasted marshmallows.

We provide a welcome gift for your arrival, with homemade biscuits and eggs from our chickens when available. Milk and a good selection of teas, coffees and condiments are available in the cabin.

The beautiful heated (in the colder months) guest swimming pool is outside your cabin and there is direct access to the river for fishing and kayaking. There is a new tennis court, basketball hoop and huge lawn area for your kids and pets to enjoy as well as a bocce court and table tennis table.

There is also Grevillea cabin with Queen size ensuite bedroom and 2 king singles in the loft and 3-bedroom Wattle Cottage which sleeps up to 8.

We are just a 5 minute drive from the Pacific Highway, but a million miles away from the stresses of the City. 10 minutes gets you to Taree and 15 minutes to Wingham with independent shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants.

We're a 18 minute drive from Old Bar Beach. Famed for it's fantastic surfing and laid back charm, this beach is totally unspoilt and is ideal for surfers and families alike. Beautiful Saltwater, Diamond and Blackhead Beaches are only a few minutes further.

We are less than 1km from the renowned Kiwarrack Mountain Bike Forest Trail.

Perfect mid north coast getaway

All the charm of country living but with modern day conveniences! We had a great stay, kitchenette with everything, comfy beds, fire pit was ideal, table tennis, pool, bikes, beautiful gardens, the list goes on… property was amazing and we all had a relaxing stay, even our cavoodle!

What a Location!

Very friendly service and a great cabin right on the river. The cabin was really well appointed with everything we needed and some great added extras such as fresh eggs, sourdough bread and anzac biscuits (the best anzac biscuits our teenager has ever had!) on our arrival. Our hosts were super friendly and provide kayaks, lifejackets, table tennis, boules - plenty to keep us busy. Sitting outside by the firepit on a chilly night was really nice. The beds were very comfortable and we were very impressed with this property.

A fantastic place on the Manning river

We had a great time. We relaxed and our teenage kids rode the biked, played football and went in the kayaks. It is a lovely place and the new owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We'll be back!

Perfect break from iso

Our family of 4 (plus puppy) had a wonderful stay at Jane and Neil's place in our first escape from Sydney in months. The accommodation was beautiful and extremely well appointed, and the food delicious (my daughter is addicted to the passionfruit butter and my son to Neil's sourdough). The surrounding flora and fauna are wonderful (my son spotted 50+ different species of birds in 6 days and we woke up to a koala in a tree near our verandah one morning!). It is only 5 minutes ride to brilliant mountain bike trails in Kiwarrak State Forest and 15 minutes drive to dog-friendly beaches - we had a ball. We highly recommend Mansfield on the Manning and hope to be back again soon.
