Currawong Cottage is situated in the beautiful township of Talbingo in the Snowy Mountains region of NSW. In

Surrounded by national park the area has something for everyone with a great range of outdoor pursuits, bird watching, bush walking, biking, snow and water skiing, 4X4 adventures, fishing, golf & tennis, or just relax and unwind and take in the views with the stunning scenery all around from the deck.

This comfortable, cottage has 3 bedrooms with built in robes
sleeps 8 comfortably ( 6 adults and 2 children in bunk beds ) with 3 queen beds and single bunk beds .
warm quality quilts, electric blankets and comfortable pillows.
All linen supplied
Ideal for a weekend away for two an affordable family holiday or work accommodation
The cottage caters well for all with a fully equipped cottage kitchen with oven, microwave, rice cooker,baking equipment,sandwich maker and coffee machine
separate toilet and large bathroom with shower over bath.

Quality outdoor gas bbq and seating area

The laundry is well equipped with NEW quality large capacity washing machine and dryer.
Please do not use clothes drier washing machine and kitchen appliances at the same time as you will overload the circuit
Wood fire for the winter keeps the cottage warm and cozy
split system reverse cycle air conditioning for comfort summer and winter
Please note we do NOT have wifi as this is a detox zone for families to spend time together playing board games , reading and talking to each orher !
The front deck overlooks the mountains with beautiful views down the valley.
There is a playground on the same street and the
cottage is only a few minutes walk from Talbingo's amenities such as 3 playgrounds, one a new adventure playground, Country Club, golf course, tennis courts, supermarket, parks, and oval.

Lovely cottage with everything we needed. Didn't have good phone data connection though so wifi would have been appreciated to plan trips and purchase lift passes but other than that it was very comfortable!

thanks so much for this cozy warm place we booked this year, very clean and comfortable, we can find anything we need, location is also fine, we stay here but we drive to Snow mountain for Ski two days it was great, we walking along next to the lake, it is amazing view and kangaroo and birds all around, Julia respond all my questions very quick and helpful, thanks.

Mini summer holiday

We had a great time staying here, place was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately Yarrongabilly caves was closed but we spent our time at Jounama creek and the beach area at Talbingo dam instead. Fantastic spots to have lunch or dinner while enjoying the sunset and cooling off in the water.

2 adults & 3 kids - we enjoyed our stay. Warm & spacious. Loved the wood fire, a must for that Winter atmosphere. Very squeaky kitchen floor, so you know if the fridge is being raided!

Currawong Cottage

We had a lovely, comfortable stay at Currawong Cottage. It's a great location to visit Selwyn and Yarrangobilly Caves and we enjoyed seeing the kangaroos and peacocks when walking around Talbingo. The house is a well equiped "home away from home" and the fireplace kept the whole house warm. We enjoyed our stay.

Very easy to find and we arrived earlier than expected, area had beautiful views and lots of peacocks and cockatoos coming to the entrance in the early morning. Home was very cozy and had everything needed for a nice stay. Property had everything we that needed.

Home away from home

Great little house to stay in while visiting Selwyn Ski Resort. The house is cosy, well equipped and very homely. Comfy mattresses and we enjoyed the warmth of the fire. Great little town. We enjoyed some meals at Talbingo Lodge and brought the rest of our food with us. Great parks to walk too and we enjoyed all the wildlife.

Base for Mt Selwyn

Lovely relaxing location and everything we needed for our family snow trip. House was comfortable and had everything we could need for a couple of nights. Lots of twists and turns on the Snowy Mountains Hwy heading out of Talbingo to Mt Selwyn requiring careful driving was the only downside as it makes the trip to/from the snowfields feel much longer than it actually is.

Cozy country home

We had a great stay, the fireplace was beautiful and kept the whole house so cozy. The kids enjoyed kicking the ball out in the backyard. The location is in walking distance to local parks. Unfortunately the local supermarket closed down, so besides a tiny cafe there no where to get any supplies. The house has new fridge and oven - but kitchen and bathroom are a bit run down. Overall we had a great stay- afternoon sun was beautiful and nice to sit out on porch with a good book. Very quiet and peaceful town. Thanks for a great stay.

Best family holiday house

Absolutely amazing property situated in a wonderful friendly community with so much to see and do. Our family of 6 (age range 36--2) stayed 5 nights and was so warm and cosy at home before venturing to the snow fields that were a 45min drive away. Large bedrooms, spacious bath and kitchen areas. We especially loved the cards and boardgames that were there for us to use. Thank you Julie and Craig Great communication by the owners and so affordable. Thanks for the memories

A great location for families

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay. The beds were comfy and soft, the fireplace was perfect after getting back from a day at the snow in Selwyn. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Our hosts were fantastic at accommodating our needs for our 10month old- they provided a high chair and portacot. Could not fault it. Just a note: Reception was limited/none for our friends who were with Optus and no wifi but we enjoyed some time together keeping ourselves occupied with all the beautiful surroundings outdoors!

This is the place to RELAX

Gorgeous cottage to relax and unwind. Sit in the balcony and unwind with a book gazing at the mountains! Julia is a great host, wonderful communication. Cottage was very clean. If your looking for a place to get away from it all, this is it!

Beautiful cottage in a lovely area

Place was exactly as described. Myself and some friends had a great time waterskiing on the dam and loved the whole area. Credit to owners who said they would refund us if the dam were not to be open. Looking forward to coming again next year.
