Perfect house for our vacation

Located close to University of Austin and in a charming part of east Austin. Close to hip eateries, breweries, and coffee houses. House was comfortable, had everything we needed. Loved the 2 separate TV areas so we could watch what we wanted.

Perfect!!!

This house was exceptional in everyway. Centrally located in East Austin, easy to get anywhere in town. UT campus, downtown, South Congress, etc. Walking distance to morning coffee shop (In.Gredients, Bennu or Thunderbirds), cafes, grocery market, and fine dining. The house is nicely furnished and quite comfortable. Loved the walk in closet, full kitchen, large bathroom, and all the accessories you'd ever need. Don't think we'll ever stay in an Austin hotel again. This is our new "go to" place. The owner checked in with us before we arrived, after we checked in to make sure everything was perfect, and even after we left. Super cool owner.

Great Vacation!!!!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. Pictures didn't do it justice. Everything we could have wanted was there for us. We loved the decor, yet felt very comfortable and right at home. The bed is super comfy too. It is in a great location. Very centrally located. It's a darling neighborhood. I recommend a walk to Thunderbird Coffee for a nice stroll to get a latte. We had a lovely breakfast at Eastside Cafe which was delicious and all organic. Downtown we dined on BBQ at Lambert's which was excellent and had a yummy meal at a cool spot called Franks. An Austin must we highly recommend. When we come back again we hope to stay here!! What a super find.

Outstanding House

We stayed three days and it is every bit as the pictures and descriptions. It is a very quiet neighborhood just east of the UT campus with local bar, restaurants and grocery within easy walking distance. It about an $8 Uber ride to downtown. The house is very tastefully appointed, including decorations, furnishings and appliances. The cooking supplies and equipment were new and complete including sharp knives, cutting board, basic spices, etc. The owners were out of town on holiday while we were there, but made sure we were taken care of with telephone follow ups. It was our first visit to Austin, and I would definitely book this place should we come again.

Could not have asked for more

Charming house in a quiet walkable neighborhood. Became home for us by the end of the week. Would recommend for young , retirees etc. so thankful that our first experience with Homeaway, we lucked out with this selection. Would return in a moment's notice - hated to leave.

Great House/Great Location

We really enjoyed our Thanksgiving stay. We visited Austin this Thanksgiving waiting for the arrival of our youngest grandchild who decided to stay where it was warm! The house was in a nice location, close to the airport for all the family comings and goings. We really enjoyed all the appliances for cooking ,as most of our meals were prepared at the house. The owner was great, checking to see if everything was o.k. during out stay. I would recommend the property to others in need of a nice location to stay in Austin. There were also restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance.

Decent Location but VERY lived in....

The place was decent but definitely LIVED in. I am used to home away properties being someones rental property, not their actual residence. We had clean sheets and a nice place to sleep and hang out for a large group of us. Fourth bedroom was kind of a joke since it was really a small child's room, and there was not a real bed. Some major cleaning needs to be done as there were their own used towels left on the bathroom floor and a huge hairball clogging the tub. The washer and dryer smelled of mildew so we couldn't wash our items. And worst of all, we had a huge roach appear. We would definitely not rent here again, but if your standards aren't too high, it isn't half bad. Location is pretty close to some good restaurants.

The house has an open floor plan and is good for large groups. Plenty of different spaces to hang out. Within walking distance of many great restaurants, bars and coffee shops. Location is also perfect for SXSW events. Right in East Austin, 7 minute drive to downtown. 5 minute drive to east side nightlife, restaurants, coffee shops, Town/Lady Bird Lake.
