Perfect for a family

Very impressed with the amount of amenities, everything you could need for a family and a dog! It was very clean and welcoming, we really enjoyed our stay.

All weather cottage

The cottage was very clean and well equipped kitchen. Arrived late on Friday night and instructions were easy. A beautiful evening about 24 degrees. Saturday was fine and Sunday was very stormy. We were very comfortable and cozy with the fire. Thank you

A quick family getaway

What a gorgeous house with lots of character, and a wonderful kitchen with oven, dishwasher and everything we needed. We've given more detailed feedback to the owner regarding cleaning/maintenance and once these matters are resolved we would not hesitate in recommending this property. In current condition, fencing cannot be trusted for medium-sized dogs or smaller. Thank you Carolina.

Perfect Family Escape

What a great little place to unwind and relax. No frills, very clean, accessible, not too far to beach No.3. We took the dog too. The back yard is huge and there's plenty of room for your dog to run around. The fences are all strong and well maintained so no escapes! The upstairs loft-style room was perfect for the kids to enjoy their own space and relax when desired. The wood heater warmed the space beautifully. All in all, for a family of 5 (including 2 teens) the house was perfect. Nice and quiet and well maintained. We'll be back for sure!

Disappointed

While the house had what was listed, it did not deliver. The dishwasher did not work all weekend so after loading it up, we had to wash all the dishes. The TV was not working as it was plugged into a faulty power point.. The kettle was so dirty and when boiled had black floaty bits so was unusable. Our 18 month old Kelpie had to be supervised due to gaps in the "secure" fencing and the lights outdoors did not have working globes which made it difficult to take him out at night. Lucky we had fishing lamps! The owner answered our queries but the weekend was not as relaxing as planned due to all the issues. Would not return.

We really enjoyed our short stay in the cottage. After some initial issues with the hot water the property owner immediately organised a repair and the system was repaired within a few hours. Communications was fantastic and the owners handled the situation exemplary! We would book the cottage again for a visit to Venus Bay! Thank you!

Cosy getaway

A great place for a long weekend. Kids loved the roof loft and a great area for them to unwind from parents. House clean and good communication with the owners.

Great Location

This property was just right for our stay in Venus Bay. It is well sited and easy to access. The wood heater was a bonus on the colder nights. The communication from the owner was timely and appropriate in preparing us for the stay. Whilst it is not a modern cottage, it was more than adequate for our stay.

Lovely winter getaway

Cosy, comfortable little beach house. Exactly as described. Close to town and beaches. Well equipped kitchen. The woodfire heater is great and quite effective although heating is only in the main lounge/kitchen area, so bring warm blankets for the beds if staying in winter. The yard is well fenced for a dog but need to make sure no other animals have burrowed under the fence. We found a couple of holes but there are plenty of things to use to cover them up and make it safe. Seems to be a large wombat burrow (Aug 2023) in the middle of the yard but we did not see the wombat.

Cozy

House is just nice for family of 4 or 5. Was comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped. Best feature... is the picnic table in the front yard. Nice sitting out there on a Sunny day eating brekkie or lunch.

Cute and cosy

We had a wonderful weekend away :) Our kids loved sleeping upstairs and the fire was cosy and warm! Only downside was having to bring our own linen. If you are ok with this 100% would recommend :) Thank you for having us!

Quaint Cottage in Perfect Location

This property have a very homely feel and is super comfortable. It has a modern, well equipped kitchen, nice, shady front garden and space at the back, perfect for a dog! There is lots of space for cars too. The cottage is located in a quiet part of the first estate with easy access to main roads. Carolina was a super host, very quick with her responses. Would definitely love to stay there again.

Relaxed weekend stay

We have never stayed in Venus bay but we enjoyed the peaceful environment. Great location to access the beach and also the local shops. This house was great for us because we had a dog. The pet door was great and not having carpeted areas meant we did not have to stress as much about which areas she would have access to. I would definitely stay here again.

A short break

It was wonderful to arrive at such a lovely holiday home for the weekend. The Coonara heater in the lounge room was a true blessing for such a cold, wet weekend. It heats the whole house. Such a relaxing break in a comfortable, clean home. Thanks so much Carolina.

Cute and cosy

Nice and simple little getaway house, we were able to bring our dogs and they were secure there. Pot belly fire was a winner and good fishing spots around. Would book again.

Homely cottage in idyllic location

We all loved our time in Venus Bay. The house was perfect for our family and in an ideal location. Close enough to walk to shops and a short drive to beaches, but still in a quiet part of town. The house had everything we needed.

Venus Bay Summer Stay

Enjoyed our stay at this location. Nice walk to Beach 2. House had a nice feel to it and liked the fact didn’t need to carry around a key. Was a little bit of animal hair around but easily dealt with.
