Minong/Hayward Area - Minong Flowage Across the Street, 1800+ Acre Lake

Park-like setting, year-round cabin/home located on quit E Lakewood Drive. This 3 BR/2 BA cabin has everything you need for a true Northwoods cabin experience BUT done in comfort! Hungry? This cabin is a few minutes' walk down E Lakewood Drive to the largest Bar/Restaurant on the lake Pogo's. Across the street is the popular recreation and fishing lake, the Minong Flowage, you are surrounded by pine trees in a true Northwoods setting. The interior is warm, inviting, and comfortable.

This non-smoking cabin has 3 large bedrooms and 2 large full bathrooms. Kids bored? Play some old school video games on the 50" flat screen. The home is equipped with washing machine and dryer. If it rains, no worries, we have a VCR with plenty of movies, DVD player or DirecTV Stream Ultimate Package, 160+ Channels & Red Zone channel. Located 9 miles west of Minong, Wisconsin; 30 miles west of Hayward, Wisconsin; about 2 hours from the Twin Cities; and just over an hour from Duluth.

Some of the other amenities include Wireless Internet, 50" flat-screen TV (with DirecTV Stream Ultimate 160+ Channels and NFL Red Zone Channel), ceiling fans in all bedrooms & kitchen, Air Conditioning, coffee maker, a gas grill and a fire pit. You can launch your boat at the Pogo's restaurant/bar just a minute down the road ($10 fee) or at a few public launches around the lake (free). Dock spot for a boat is not included. Pogo's has a large dock area if you would like to work something out with the manager or Richie the owner (715-466-2836). If you need any supplies there is a great little store, we call the 'Corner Store' located within 2 miles (Stop-a-Sec). This store provides groceries, liquor, wine and beer, DVD rentals, fishing licenses and bait, gas, propane, and a full selection of hardware tools and supplies as well as a post office.

You won't find a more quiet or fun place to relax, fish and for lake recreation. Nothing more fun than drifting around the lake on a pontoon boat and visiting the many restaurants or islands on the lake. If you golf - there are 2 nearby golf courses and many more within 30 minutes. If you like ATV's, this is a fantastic area with lots of trails. The road in front of the property is an ATV road with leads to lots and lots of ATV trails/roads. You can also gas up a few miles away at the Stop-A-Sec via direct ATV road route. Great for summertime, but our home is great YEAR-ROUND, whether you are snowmobiling, ice fishing, hunting or cross-country skiing, there's trails and something for everyone! For those rainy days, head over to Spooner or Hayward for 1/2 or full day of shopping or going to the movies. Even more adventurous - head to Duluth for a day of alpine skiing or over to Bayfield and explore the Apostle Islands.

I do have a 14ft standard fishing boat with a 25hp motor available to rent. Boat is a quick 2-3 block walk or drive. Boat is located on the Minong Flowage. The picture in this listing is to let you see the boat, it does not represent a dock spot for our guests. Cost is $225 for the duration of your stay (up to 1 week). First tank of gas included (most guest never need additional gas). A one-person kayak is available for $50 for the duration of your stay (up to 2 weeks). A 4-person paddle boat for $95 for the duration of your stay (up to 2 weeks). Payment due upon arrival.
