No place on Cape San Blas has quite as much going on as Barrier Dunes, the gated gulf front community on the Northernmost tip adjacent to the State Park. This neighborhood of townhouses is an ideal destination for the outdoor enthusiast with 2 swimming pools, tennis courts, fishing ponds, a playground and pet stations throughout encouraging an afternoon stroll with your dog. Not to mention all of the fun that can be had at the State Park with the nature trails and boat ramp welcoming you to both the bay and the gulf.

Any time of year is a special time with kids and families sharing memories in the spring and summer and breathtaking fall sunsets to the tight-knit group of busy visitors that congregate during the winter months. This 2 bedroom, end unit can accommodate a party of 6 comfortably along with your pet. It is a short walk to the beach and you have a view of the community tennis courts. There is a large enclosed shower outdoors for you to wash the beach away before stepping inside. Pack your bathing suit and your food (unless you want to cook your catch) and we have the rest covered for you. We’ll be waiting on your arrival any time of year!

 Floor Plan: Ground level – paved, covered parking for 2. 1st level – kitchen, dining area and living room with sleeper sofa, TV, DVD/VCR and furnished deck; full bath and Bedroom 1 – queen bed, TV and small deck. 2nd level – Bedroom 2 – top floor master bedroom with king bed, TV, deck and full bath with double vanities, large closet, shower, tub and laundry room.

Great property pet friendly

The only problem was the gas grill was old and wouldn’t start. I planned to grill steaks, but couldn’t. They had plenty of propane, but the grill looks to be very old and rusted beyond repair. Needs a new grill.

Very relaxing stay at Barrier Dunes

Very comfortable and quiet getaway. I had issue with AC unit, and a repairman came within a couple hours to check out. It is a short walk to both pools and the beach.

Great Stay

The community was clean, peaceful and everyone was very nice. This is definitely a dog friendly area and our dog made several friends. The town house was clean, neat, stocked well with kitchen necessities. We can't wait to return! Loved it.

The Cape Vacay

Polite neighbors, dog friendly. Community design and landscape well kept and easy to use. Pool on the beachside and another in the middle of the community. Condo has nice kitchen and large rooms. Several balconys and back deck.

This is a nice unit at Barrier Dunes and has had some recent renovations. Unit was clean and everything functioned as it should. Had a nice long weekend stay.

Great place…but

The condo is in excellent shape and has been well maintained. Paint, furniture , and appliances are in good repair. However, three things need to change; 1 Listing needs to state that there is no door to the upstairs master bedroom. With teens or kids, this makes for a very disruptive night and morning. 2 Master toilet is the weakest flushing toilet I have ever experienced. 3 The TV in the family room is a pitifully small 21 inches. Overall, the unit met our needs, but if it had been football season, 😡

Location was great. Condo was great. The problem was is that it was 83 degrees in the condo and they took 2 days to fix it even after several calls and a stop by the office! Finally at 10 they came to fix it. Also the smoke detector upstairs kept alarming for no reason so we can to remove it. Love the area but but will not be staying here again.

Impressed!

I was very impressed with this condo. The pictures don’t do it justice. It’s a bit further from the beach than I’d like, especially when carrying all our stuff back and forth. This neighborhood is amazing: super dog friendly, lots of kids for my 5 year old to play with. Perfect for families. Everything was very clean.
