This was our second stay at Bourke and it is such an amazing place! We’ve been there now winter and summer and would love to stay there every time we’re in Sydney.
Fantastic location, trams are not too intrusive even though they’re just around the corner. The house itself is decorated with rather mid range furniture, but you’re not there to stay in the house. All the amenities are working. For this price it’s a fantastic place to stay.
This is a very nice house for us to stay for 9 days and attend our daughter graduation ceremony at University of Sydney.
The location is next to the famous Bourke street bakery and many restaurants within walking distance.
We enjoyed our morning walks to Botanical Garden and Centennial Park.
The house was just as described and perfect for our stay. Surry Hills is such a cool and interesting neighbourhood. Loved the bakery and it was so easy and quick to find our way into central Sydney. I’d recommend this place to anyone!
Couldn’t ask for a more ideal property or location. I can’t see any other property with two bedrooms in an older building being too much better. Truly charming .
An excellent well located apartment. Well equipped with easy access to the Light Train and bus network. Garage parking was also excellent, as we were just able to fit in a medium sized SUV.
Super property in really good location. Hadn't appreciated how close the tram stop was and this made it even more convenient. apartment had everything that you could need. Hotelesque were very good hosts and after we got over an issue with the keys on our arrival everything was perfect

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay in this very popular property and we thank you for your lovely feedback. Our guests love how convenient it is having the tram and Bourke Street Bakery so close. We hope to host you again at some stage.
I stayed at this property for about 10 days in December. It is within walking distance to lots of restaurants and bars which is nice. On Friday and Saturday nights there were a few rowdy people late which can keep or wake you up at night but otherwise it was a great stay.
This Surry Hills property is perfectly located and generously appointed. It has two large double bedrooms, a bathroom with a bath and separate shower, utility room with an additional loo, large living room, and a kitchen/diner. There is also a small terrace at the back and a car parking space. There were plentiful towels, etc, and the kitchen is well stocked too.
We had a great stay. It is also right in the middle of lovely Surry Hills and near the new Light Rail.
Location, location. Close to transport, restaurants, pubs and supermarket. Internet could be better and front sitting room could do with a makeover. Appreciated quality linen and towels.
On a positive note, we really enjoyed our stay at this property and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

1) we were offered 20% discount because work would be done on the roof for 1 (one) day. It actually was all non weekend days (4) of our stay and the noise EXTREMELY loud
2) we read the "instructions" of the house, an overly long booklet. Following these painfully detailed instructions we went to take out the trash bins on Tuesday evening but lo and behold someone unknown to us accessed the house in our absence and took out the bins. While this may sound helpful it felt unsafe to have given someone access to the premises without even a heads up.
3) location was good but given the price I expected better service
Lovely property in a great location!
Wish we had stayed longer.
The property has everything you need and more.
Plenty of options for dining out locally, don’t miss Bourke Street Bakery!
The light rail is great for getting to the city and connecting to the main rail.
Only issue in the house was the ventilation, the bathroom window doesn’t open and the fan wasn’t powerful enough.
A nice touch might be a radio in the kitchen.

Thank you for your lovely review Lisa. We loved hosting your stay and hope to see you again soon.
We had six nights in this cute wee house. Great location, right next to light rail, short walk to buses, restaurants, bars, cafes and parks. Bakery three doors away with excellent coffee and food and supermarkets right around the corner. House really comfortable for four people with everything you need including cosy beds, lovely linen, and pantry staples. It is a little noisy given so close to light rail and a car/walking lane that runs right next to the bedrooms, but it is a wonderful location. Suggest ear plugs if you're sensitive to noise because you'll want the windows open in summer. Would happily return.
No problems getting in the house. Needed to do laundry after 5 days on the road in NZ, no laundry soap,so had to go buy some. Kitchen was nice. Bedrooms and beds comfortable. Bathroom ok— shower is small and floor gets wet easily. Living room not that great. Very small, couch uncomfortable. TV worked sometimes. Outdoor terrace in the picture isn’t that great but admittedly it rained a lot. Sat on the front porch a lot on the bench. That was nice. Best thing about the house is its location. Beautiful vibrant yet quiet neighborhood with lots of cafes and restaurants. Close to the trains.
