An extension cord is available to allow guests to plug in vehicle during cold winter months.

We live in the upstairs of the duplex and work from home, we enjoy peace and quiet but you may hear some minor noise from daily life. We have white noise machines installed through the house for your comfort. The only place you may run into us is through the garage and driveway/ yard as we play with our dogs.

We have a very strict no smoking policy. You may not smoke anywhere on the property and must walk through the snow to smoking area. It is dark and very cold much of the year.

Quiet hours are from 11 pm to 7am.

We do not allow visits from guests other than those included in the booking.

Pets are not allowed.

Guest access:
Access is through the garage, we ask that you don't handle any items located in the garage. The front deck is available to guests. The top deck is not available to guests.

Other things to note:
We do have two large friendly dogs that you may run into as we play with them in the yard. One is a puppy in training and does have high energy. You may hear some occasional noise from them. If you do have concerns with regard to dogs we are happy to discuss possible accommodations.

Cozy Duplex Getaway

The owners met us at 1am to help us come in and get settled-a HUGE relief after spending the day traveling. They made sure we had everything we needed and felt comfortable in their home. The duplex was beautifully decorated and much larger than I imagined. The location was convenient for everything we had planned during our trip and it was so nice to come "home" at the end of a long day exploring Alaska. The owners went above and beyond to make sure we had a pleasant stay. The duplex and owners exceed any expectations we had. Paul and Kelly

Home away from home

Perfect location for our adventures in and around Fairbanks. The place was spotless. The rooms were large. It was great having a fridge, microwave and toaster oven. Loved having coffee and oatmeal provided. The hosts were very friendly. We enjoyed talking with them and playing frisbie with their dog.

Peaceful, Spacious, Clean

We came to drop our son off at UAF. The home is on a quiet street near town. The apartment backs to a green lawn and a densely forested trail system that leads to the university. The unit is spotlessly clean and much larger than expected. It is well insulated. The beds are comfortable and the furniture is modern and new. Our hosts were super friendly and helpful, inquiring daily if we had everything we needed. They let us store a bicycle and extra luggage in the garage. We enjoyed chatting with them and meeting their dogs. We also walked to the Large Animal Research station where we saw reindeer and musk oxen. The large screen TV with the Netflix account, oatmeal breakfasts, coffee, and filtered water were unexpected bonuses. We can't wait to get back to Fairbanks and book our next stay here!
