Vita a Mare | Family Coastal Retreat Jervis Bay

Vita a Mare is a relaxed, Balinese-inspired coastal home designed to comfortably accommodate families travelling together. It’s a true home away from home, with generous indoor and outdoor spaces that make it easy to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy a laid-back Jervis Bay holiday.

Inside, the home features a large, fully equipped kitchen, split-system air conditioning for heating and cooling, and a comfortable lounge with a Smart TV and Netflix. There are three bedrooms, two with queen beds and one set up for kids with two bunk beds (four singles). A Smart TV is also located in the main bedroom for added comfort and flexibility.

A separate games room offers a card table and board games, providing an additional space for both kids and adults to relax and enjoy time together.

The living space flows outdoors to a covered alfresco area with a six-burner BBQ, wicker seating and a large, fully gated backyard. The yard is ideal for families and outdoor relaxation and includes a fire pit for cosy evenings under the stars.

For guests needing to work while away, there is a dedicated office space with a desk, high-speed Starlink satellite internet, and a colour printer. Linen is provided for all beds, along with a coffee capsule machine and milk frother to start your mornings slowly and comfortably..

Charming house in Old Erowal Bay

We had a lovely stay at Vita a Mare in Old Erowal Bay recently. The house is charming, clean and comfortable. Marianthe (the owner) was extremely helpful and welcoming. Thank you for a great stay!

Sweet but small

The house is cute and in a great location - just a short drive to everything. It was also a great price for peak period. Sitting under the fairy lights at night is beautiful. The pizza oven is a great addition. Negatives - The cleaners missed several major things so we advised the owners and that probably won't happen again. I think it's too small for the advertised 10 as the sofa bed is in the small lounge area which means people could not use the couches. I know that's in the detail but it's hard to work out the exact size of rooms with photos. We had to contact the owner for linen for the sofa bed even though we booked for nine. Would have been nice to have a couple of spare hand towels and bath mats as one didn't cut it with nine people drying their hands for one week. We had to go purchase more. Only four dinning chairs, a few stackable small stools would have meant more people could sit at once at the table. We couldn't use the cupboards due to the musty smell :-/ Sounds like a lot of negatives but a few little changes could make it a lot better and we were grateful for getting a place in such close location to all the beaches.

Wonderful home, better than pictures.

We had a wonderful time away at this home - the pictures don’t do it justice. Unfortunately we had horrible weather the whole time so couldn’t utilise the incredible outdoor space, but everything else was great. We did have to get a new gas bottle / lighter for oven but that was fine. Would stay again.

Fantastic birthday away

We had such a great holiday away with friends for my birthday. The house was in a great location and just what we needed. The only suggestion is to update your photos because we were surprised at how much nicer it was and looked from the photos. Overall great home!

We chose Old Erowal Bay for its peaceful, family-friendly feel and its proximity to everything Jervis Bay has to offer. It’s close enough to iconic beaches, bushwalking trails, fishing spots and the vibrant Huskisson dining precinct, yet tucked away in a quiet seaside enclave where you can truly unwind.

We love the balance of nature and convenience — early morning birdlife, calm bay waters, stunning sunsets, and being just minutes from shops, cafés and everyday essentials.
