About this property

Sit On The Porch And Enjoy The View Of The Tetons In South East Idaho

Come stay with us! You will love your stay on our farm, in a cute little log cabin farm house. Just 7 miles north of Rexburg, there is plenty to do and see. We are within 70 miles of some of Idaho's most stunning attractions. Yellowstone Park, Island Park, Jackson Hole WY, Mesa Falls, and Henry's Lake to name a few. If you want to stay a little closer, BYU-I, the Rexburg LDS Temple, Yellowstone bear world, and the Saint Anthony sand dunes are all minutes away.
Our cabin faces the Tetons, and the views are spectacular. A nice cool breeze in the evenings you can sit for hours and relax. During the summer months, you can also try your fishing skills in our fully stocked pond. What a blast to land a 2 to 4 pound rainbow! (please ask for details on this activity)
We are located on six acres, in rural farming community. We grow pumpkins for our Pumpkin patch, sweet corn, and asparagus, we then sell to the farmer down the road. If your visiting in the summer months you can enjoy delicious fresh produce, within a minutes' walk.
The cabin has 2 bedrooms, each with pillow top queen beds , a full bathroom, and extra sleeping space in the loft with a futon, and convertible sofa. We do have a nice queen blow up mattress and several sleeping bags available upon request. The kitchen is fully stocked with service for 8, flour, sugar, and spices.
There is a smart television equipped with an Amazon fire stick. You must use your own subscriptions to view programs.

Peaceful and quiet
Cabin was great. It was quiet. That is close to a main residence, but that wasn't a big deal because we didn't really experience any interference. The cabin is very well kept up.

BYUI Graduation
My husband, daughter and son-in-law and I came to Rexburg for graduation. Thought this might be a long drive from campus but wasn’t bad at all. And it was a beautiful area; quiet and secluded during the winter season. We did not need kitchen or laundry facilities but the rest of the cabin served our needs very well. It could use a bit of deep cleaning but overall the cabin was clean, tidy and well stocked. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean. I was concerned about being cold in freezing Idaho winter temps but was pleasantly surprised how warm and cozy the cabin felt to us. The beds were comfortable and everything we used worked well. We will look into staying here for our grandson’s graduation next year. Our host answered our questions quickly and it was a very pleasant experience.

About the host

5 years ago, our blended family of 8, (2 boys and 6 girls!) were looking for a change. We noticed our daughters were growing up and attracting the boys. Knowing that we weren't quite ready (if one ever is) for that kind of attention, we started looking for far off places to hide them. Our search led us back near my husbands birthtown of Parker, ID. We stumbled upon this home and property and knew we had found " the place".
We grow sweet corn, asparagus, and strawberries for the produce stand down the street. Our main crop is pumpkins for the fall season. We have people come out and pick their fall pumpkins right from the field.
We have all enjoyed meeting people from all over, and would love to meet you too!

Why they chose this property

We love living here, and have created a place where everyone likes to visit. Summer evenings are spent on the porch, by the campfire, or fly fishing out of our pond. The winters are beautiful too, watching the deer, dig up our last pumpkins or corn, and the occasional moose family passing through.

What makes this property unique

Our guest house is in a quiet rural setting, although we do have neighbors, it's nothing like living in the city. Come enjoy the country life, drop a line in the pond, roast a dog, or just sit and listen to crickets and frogs.
