Welcome to Sarkiki Reef and one of the best sandy beaches in Belize.

Whether you dream of peaceful time on the beach, warm ocean swimming, diving on the world’s second longest barrier reef or exploring ancient Mayan ruins, Sarkiki serves as your perfect base. Our large 3 level, eco-friendly, waterfront villa offers stunning ocean views from large decks on each level and, ocean and mountain views from the panoramic roof top deck. The entry to this unit is on the second level of the building and has two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and living and dining area on the entry level and a bedroom and bathroom on the upper level with a full deck and roof top deck.

Amenities include fabulous ocean swimming, 3 pools, two spacious decks and roof top deck, a large common patio area, beach volleyball, TV and internet.

Fishing, snorkeling and diving are easily accessible or take a jungle river tour on the beautiful Sittee River all nearby and easily arranged.

We can provide an extra single bed and/or crib as needed and subject to availability. Please contact us if either of these are needed.

Excellent base camp

The location and amenities are perfect and the hosts cannot be beat! We loved this place for our family of 4 (2 teens) and will definitely be back! The pools, hammocks, and beach are all excellent. I loved having multiple outdoor seating options (our own patio and balconies, plus the pool deck). There is a unit for all sorts of borrowing: books, bikes, pool and beach toys, even sunscreen and bug spray. We loved the location for both walking and driving into Hopkins and beyond. Plus the resort itself! Threw a few casts into the canal, spent a morning on a shady pier, cooled down with a drink at Mangos. Lastly the hosts and staff were phenomenal. Linda and Mike helped us out with bookings, our flight/baggage issues, and anything else that we needed during our stay. Loved it here!

The pool was great and the location on the beach. One room was large, one medium (twins) and one very small. Six of us stayed there. We only had 4 forks, so we asked for more forks from property. manager. The coffee pot did not work but we asked and received a working coffee pot. We also asked for toilet paper, paper towels, bath towels and garbage bags. There was no salt, pepper, cooking oil or any items as such. The WiFi was not very strong except on the deck. There was no soap, shampoo etc provided. The furnishings were minimal. We had a great time. We are a pretty flexible group.

beautiful outdoors/like a youth hostel indoors

The property is gorgeous with beautiful gardens, pools and a sandy, shallow beach. The owners and their staff were eager to please, provided tips on things to do and were quick to respond to problems with the air-conditioning and plumbing. However, if you want to enjoy your living space, and relax with a book or game at the end of the day, you may want to look elsewhere. Our 3 bedroom unit was furnished like a youth hostel - there was not a comfortable piece of furniture in the place. The 2 chairs and loveseat in the living room looked like they were from a garage sale. They sat a foot off the floor and metal poked us through the cushions. The dining room chairs were wood with no chair pads, the beds had 4" foam pads rather than mattresses. The lighting was poor and depressing, and there were no lamps. The hightop table outside had 4 chairs for our family of 5, and the lighting outside was too bad to play cards by. There was one 17" TV in the unit. You need to bring your own bar of soap for the shower, hair dryer, salt and pepper, paper and pen and any other basics that typically are provided. It was so disappointing, because with a little effort this could be a wonderful place to stay. Even though we had prepaid for our rooms here, we left 2 days early and moved down the road to Jaguar Reef where we stayed in a beautiful, comfortable unit which included many amenities and housekeeping service for about the same price.

Thank you for your comments. Our staff does a great job of maintaining the beach, grounds and property. We and the staff are all happy to answer questions and encourage guests to ask. The exterior tables all have four chairs but if an extra one is needed we can easily accommodate based on guest needs. We saw that you did have five chairs and I'm assuming you borrowed one from the deck next door or one of the staff provided. I was unaware that the couches had an issue but I will check into that as I have not heard that complaint before. Our cleaning staff is very observant and report any issues to us and I will follow up with them. Mike did mention lighting when he was checking out for the family but I could have provided additional lighting if requested. Oddly we just had a review from guests staying in another unit at the same property that said they really enjoyed the fact that they had outdoor space with multiple decks that they could enjoy reading their books on. The details of our property and what is provided do not say that soap and toiletries are supplied as we find many guests have individual preferences for these things and we discourage the waste associated with these. We also do not stock spices as they spoil easily. We do not indicate in our description that we supply hair dryers. Small appliances also break down easily in the environment - many things, such as TV's, we are lucky if we get more than one season out of. We also have found that most guests don't care about the TV but are more concerned about the internet. We do encourage guests to ask questions as to what is provided or read the amenities noted in the description of our property.

Belize Beach Stay

This was our second trip to Belize and we found Linda and Mike to be attentive, extremely helpful hosts. Our unit was well-tended and clean. It was a great fit for our party of 6. The pool deck was inviting and the beach out front offers ample opportunity for swimming in the ocean--you can walk out quite a way and still touch bottom.

Great place to stay in Hopkins!

Linda & Mike were great hosts and have an great place! The pool area is very nice and the landscaping and gardens are beautiful. The employees are welcoming and friendly. There is a "perfect" beach bar - Mango's - literally next door. And The Curve Bar / Marina, one of the best spots in Hopkins, as it’s right on the Sittee River, is also pretty close by. This would be an ideal place for a small group traveling together or for a family event. Our three bedroom unit had plenty of space for 2 couples (as one of the bathrooms is en suite). When we come back to Belize, we will definitely stay here again. We highly recommended this place.

House atStann Creek, South Hopkins

Lovely location just by the beach, that was peppered with coconut palm trees. The house was clean and sufficiently spacious, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. (Manuel was fantastic!)The kitchen was minimally furnished for cooking and eating at home, but we ate out all the time so it didn't affect us. The view and terraces were great, but we were too busy to really take advantage it! We loved our stay at Hopkins and enjoyed also a snorkeling trip with Patrick!
