Perched well to enjoy some lovely views over Kaiteriteri beach and the bay is where you'll find Beach House on the Ridge.

This classic kiwi bach has open plan living, ideal for an easy summer escape, with a kitchen equipped with all the essentials. The decking surrounds most of the house so no matter the time of day you'll be able to catch some fresh air and sunshine. Both bedrooms are fitted with queen beds.

Make the most of the location as you will be just a 4-minute walk from Little Kaiteriteri beach, a less than a 10mins walk to the local store, cafes and bars. Visit the numerous vineyards and wineries, potters, sculptors, carvers and artists for which the Nelson-Tasman region is very well known.

Excellent brown trout fishing is available in either Riwaka River (6 km) or Motueka River (11 km) as well as in the numerous rivers of Golden Bay. The spectacular limestone caves on the Takaka Hill are worth visiting on a day trip. Kayaks and sailboats can be rented on the Kaiteriteri beach, and guided kayak trips into Abel Tasman National Park can also be arranged.

Great location, but dirty

We had to properly clean the apartment before we were able to use it. The kitchen was sticky, lots of dead bugs, disgusting smell. What a pity - the location and the apartment would be perfect with someone paying more attention to it.

Disappointing Stay: Cockroaches, Outdated Amenities, and Privacy Concerns

Our stay at this property in Kerikeri was disappointing and fell far short of expectations. The house is extremely dated, with a kitchen and bathroom that look like they haven’t been updated since the 1970s. On top of that, the cleanliness was subpar—we encountered two cockroaches during our stay, which was unsettling and completely ruined our experience.Adding to our discomfort, a laundry basket suddenly appeared inside the house after we had been out for the day. This means someone entered the rental without notifying us in advance, which felt like an invasion of our privacy.The steep and narrow driveway was another major challenge. It’s lined with sharp bushes, and maneuvering our car out was nerve-wracking—we nearly scratched it multiple times.Overall, this property was far from the relaxing stay we had hoped for. With the outdated amenities, lack of cleanliness, and privacy concerns, I cannot recommend it to others.

Great Location

The location of this property was fabulous. A short walk to both Little Kaiteriteri and Kaiteriteri beaches. Clean and comfortable. The only negative was the house creaked - a lot! Sounded like someone was walking around the house during the night. Fine if you are a heavy sleeper.

Beach holiday

Very suitable for a group of 2-4 people. A short walk to the beach and shops. We were here in Winter and appreciated the heaters which adequately heated the house. Would stay again.

Kaiteriteri

Lovely property, well located and easy to get to the beach. Bachcare put a lot of emphasis on cleaning over providing other information about the area. Unfortunately the property wasn't particularly clean on our arrival. We had booked a check out clean but had we actually cleaned the property to the standard requested by Bachcare in the information left in the property we would have been leaving it cleaner than when we found it!

Perfect Bach!

Great location, being a lovely wee walk to the beach and into Kaiteriteri for a meal. Also, the property manager Diane was a delight to deal with. Thanks a lot and will be back!
