With access to a secluded community beach, the house boasts:

Just a short walk or bike ride (approximately 700 yards) to the beach! Bordered by a tidal inlet, Singleton Beach is one of the least crowded beaches on the island. The spacious beach allows for sunbathers, bikers, and water sportsmen alike to have their own piece of the pie. Looking for some Coastal fare or frozen cocktails? Coco's on the Beach is just steps away.

**Golf cart beach shuttle service is provided FREE of CHARGE to our guests. The shuttle runs Memorial Day through Labor Day; Sunday - Friday 9am-5pm.**

Additionally, the Chaplin Oceanside Park is only 100 yards from the house. Offering tennis and basketball courts, bike trails, soccer fields, a playground and restrooms, there's something for everyone.

Nestled between Palmetto Dunes and the Marriott Surf Watch Resort, our mid-island location offers easy access to some of the Island's best waterfront dining, shopping & entertainment. FLOORPLAN OVERVIEW:
Ground Floor: On the main level you will find a 2 car garage as well as the private pool area. The covered lanai has a lounge and dining area, a grilling area and a full bath as well as a 55 inch smart tv.
1st Floor: The main living area of the house, here you will find the kitchen & dining area, the family room and a master bedroom. The kitchen has stainless steel appliances and an island that seats 8. The dining area seats an additional 10 people. The family room has 2 sectionals, built in book cases and a 65 inch smart tv. The master bedroom has a king bed and a 55 inch smart tv.
2nd Floor: This floor houses the remainder of the bedrooms as well as a full laundry room. The master bedroom on this level has a king bed and a spacious en suite bathroom with a double vanity. It also has a 55 inch smart tv. The "crew room" features 2 double beds, a bathroom and a 43 inch tv. The "nautical room" has 2 double beds, a 43 inch smart tv and a bathroom with a double vanity. The "bunk room" boasts 2 (full over full, with 1 twin trundle bed) bunks - sleeping 9 people, has a 43 inch smart tv and an en suite bathroom that includes a double vanity as well as a shower with a tub.

The pool was a disappointment. It was tiny and dark. The retention pond next to it made it a mosquito haven. We did not end up using the pool at all. The kitchen was a disappointment as well. All labels were worn off the stove so we didn't know what settings the burners were on. The pans were terrible - we ended up buying some to use - and missing basics like tongs or foil or filters for the coffee pot or salt and pepper. The beds were comfy and bathrooms were nice. Main floor bedroom guests were disappointed to find no hanging space in the closet for their clothes. We ended up taking their clothing upstairs. They were the ones who actually paid for this house so it was a little embarrassing. Kitchen cabinets showing some major wear and tear. No sign of the parking pass that was mentioned on the fridge. Sleeps a ton but only parks 4 cars. Great location on the island. All in all it was a mixed bag. Probably wouldn't stay here again but we did appreciate being able to get together for our father's memorial service.

The size of this unit was perfect for 9 adults and 2 children, age 9 and 6.The sectional sofa was great since everyone could fit comfortably.The pictures were very nice but notice there are no pictures of the bathrooms. I assume they were omitted because several lacked towel racks and the holes in the the wall ( where the racks had been) had not been fixed.There were not enough dinner plates. The cookware was old and basically unusable. The stove was difficult to use since the dial information had been removed.The master on the main had 2 closets with shelving and no where to hang clothing.One bedroom upstairs did not have a dresser making it impossible to unpack.Such easy fixes could help greatly in making a stay better.

Singleton Beach Rocks!!

The house is a gem, and as a frequent HHI visitor, our group of Tennis Players loved the long weekend staying here. Chaplin Community Park had practice courts with lights - A bonus. The property manager was attentive and accommodated all our needs. Thank you for a great stay. We will be back. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Great Family Vacation

This property was clean and the property manager was responsive. The beach was close, but it was nice having the shuttle! It would be nice to have some chaise lounges at the pool area. Also, there were several light bulbs burnt out and a fan in one of the bedrooms was not working. Other than that, it was a nice property.

The house looked so beautiful on line, however we were upset by the cleanliness of the house. • dishes were put in kitchen drawers and cabinets dirty. Cups had actual hair and dirt on them. Utensils were filthy. Dirty pan with eggs stuck on it was still in dishwasher. •broken faucet in master bathroom. Toilet didn’t flush (chain had fallen and continued to fall of all week)•dirty rust covered vent covers•no place in downstairs closet to hang clothes•lots of mosquitoes when opening door to pool that flew inside. Several of us got bit at night. House looks likes it was renovated but needs to be kept up and clean!•unfortunately there is more that I won’t mention. Positive was the manager came right away for pool issues ( I asked that it be cleaned upon arrival so kids could get in after traveling. It was dirty and the 300 extra I paid for heat wasn’t on). He also came right away to give us a coffee maker. The one there didn’t have a pot.

75+ Tennis Ladies Stay

Location was good for our tennis team playing state championships. Directions how to access garage door, except for code, never mention. No access code outside garage. Pool area downstairs was disappointing since we were hoping to use the area for socializing. Pool was very dirty. House book for directions to use house products never found. So, no directions to how to use the fireplace, etc. Not all Upstairs electrical outlets were usable. Light flickered in most rooms. Faucet missing on one sink. Towel rack missing. Carpet was Tripp able, showers were difficult to turn on. Downstairs actually quit working on last day. Broken shelves in closets. There were so many minor problems that made our stay less comfortable for us.i sent not in the VRBO and never heard from the first note. Second not was responded but with lack on concern with our problems. We were not asking for an instant fix but letting the host know there were many problems with the house’s function. The one response to our txt was grammar errors which made us think this host is not American. So disappointing for this house. We loved the sitting area in the living room! It has a nice kitchen but not enough cooking pots and pans. For a house with great possibilities to be A+ , so many minor problems needed to be fixed. I will not recommend this to my friends unless these problems are fixed

Good sized hours for large group, just needs a thorough cleaning

This was an alternative trip for 4 families (16 people total, 9 kids) due to a cruise cancellation. Our first impression was the house was very nicely sized, great layout, open spaces, plenty of room to spread out and sleep. The booking and checking in/out process were very easy and well communicated. Initially communication was great, questions were asked and quickly responded to. For some reason, communication stopped once we asked about a fan not working in one of the rooms upstairs (which was never looked at and we could never get to function). This wasn't a huge deal, however, upstairs was much warmer than downstairs, and sleeping in this particular room was a bit uncomfortable. The other complaint was the cleanliness of the home. Having had a maid service for many years personally and paying considerably less than the charged cleaning fee for a comparable sized house, it was disturbing to find spider webs in the stairways, spiders and webs throughout the pool area. But the real kicker was when the fan in the room on the main floor was turned to high, dust flung off the blades and went everywhere. It was as if the fan had not been cleaned in months. Upon further inspection, other fans had similar issues. We understand this is a beach house, which will come with a bit more wear simply due to proximity to the beach, but the cleaning was unacceptable. Other than that, the home was minimally stocked, assuming due to the COVID. There were no spices, where we have typically seen spices left from past quests as kind of a hidden gem. There were minimal cooking utensils, but this was manageable. Fridge space was also an issue. For a house that sleeps 21 people, it would be nice to add a second fridge. The fridge was full after the first grocery run that held a single days worth of groceries. The location was good. The walk to the beach was almost half a mile. We did not use the shuttle due to having so much stuff to carry and the number of people in our party.

Great location, but BEWARE of house

We booked this home for a 60th birthday celebration with family and were so excited for our stay. Unfortunately, the home was very dirty, dated, and had so many things wrong with it. The home is in a great location (close to the beach, quiet neighborhood, close to dining options) but the house itself was a total let down. Main issue the floors were absolutely FILTHY from the moment we walked in. Our feet were covered in black dirt within minutes of being there. The fan in the stairwell leading to the pool area wasn’t working and it was filled with mosquitoes and bugs. Once in the pool area, the lights were very shotty and barely worked. The outdoor furniture was covered in spider nests and looked awful and uninviting. The pool itself looked dirty and old, but seemed to be in OK condition. I reached out to the property manager the first night regarding the fan and pool lights and they sent someone over to “fix” it. They dropped off a new fan, but the lights still didn’t work properly. The next day we asked if someone could come clean the floors and take care of the outdoor couch cushions so we could enjoy the pool area with the kids. They did send someone over while we were at the beach, but the floors were still disgusting when we got back (we had to wear shoes in the house at all times) and the couch cushions hadn’t been changed; they just flipped them over and called it good. Sadly we were unable to use the pool and outdoor area for the duration of our trip because of this.

Great Stay

We had a great time celebrating our parents 50th anniversary. Being near the park and beach was perfect and allowed for entertainment for all the kids. The dining area was great and accommodated our whole group of 18. My only critiques are we could have used more blankets and the dryer was not able to dry clothes.

We enjoyed our visit. However the pool area downstairs we had to clean. House was nice. Wish the neighborhood had bike trails. The golf cart to the beach was a must the walk was definitely hard especially in the heat.

Awesome rental great location

Our family came here for mothers day weekend. The house was incredible. Plenty space for everyone. The location is about a 12-15 minute walk from the beach. Not one complaint at all. We are already looking to book the same spot for New Years!!

Catfish Home

The tallest bunk bed was hard to get down and kept on getting the kids hurt. The sheets weren’t completely clean and had a stain on it. The bed ladder was hard getting off of. The pool was dirty. The floors was disgusting and needs to be done over. Water pressure could be higher, even to save water. Water in the sink was hotter than the shower. The dryer you have to hit it get it to work. I personally feel like this house was a catfish, it doesn’t look like the pictures. Only one eye works on the stove, and the oven cooks super slow. It was so cold downstairs and we couldn’t find a temperature gauge anywhere. The house was ok, I think we should receive some type of money back. This was a bad experience

Amazing October weekend

We had great fall weekend at this property. The great room was large and comfortable for our family. The neighborhood was quiet . The house was great especially every bedroom had its own bath. We do plan to rent again

It was nice. Property had some items that needed to be fixed or updated before someone else stays like the kitchen faucets, shower in one of the double rooms constantly drips and the bunk bedroom the tub does not drain good. Over all it was great and we enjoyed ourselves just wanted to let you all know about those items before someone else stays
