Come enjoy this quiet rural community and be close to Crestview, FL; Lake Jackson, Florala, AL, and within an hour to the gorgeous beaches of Destin. With a short drive, you can have the best of many worlds. High end appointed 4 bedroom, 2 bath newly remodeled home with upgraded furniture, linens, big screen tv and all new appliances. One bedroom is separated from the rest in the house which comes in handy if you have multiple families or teenagers! You will love the screened in area for outdoor meals as well as the fenced in back yard. This is a family friendly neighborhood and a very relaxing home. In the area you can enjoy great country cooking, walking, fishing, paddle boarding at Lake Jackson, antiquing in Florala, and don't forget............you can be at the beach within an hour. Give us a try; we think you will keep coming back! House comes fully furnished with wifi and cable tv, linens, all appliances and all the comforts of home. A starter kit of paper products (TP, PT, Garbage bags) is provided but bring enough for your trip. Home has two king beds, one queen bed and one full size bed. Pets are subject to approval and must pay a pet fee of $100.

Nice and very clean, over all a quite neighbor hood, about 1 hour drive to Destin, and hour plus to Pensacola. There are a couple of stores in walking distance. We didn't need anything, just bring your food. First time renting a VRBO and we will do it again.

We rented this VRBO to visit family in Crestview at Christmas. Property manager was extremely responsive. House was clean and recently renovated. Quiet location. A new subdivision is just being started across the street, and provides plenty of dog and human walking space. Fenced in backyard was really nice because we didn't have to worry about dog bolting.

Family trip

The home is very clean, and has everything you need for a family stay. Jean is very easily reachable, and answers any questions or concerns you have. We would definitely consider staying here again if we travel to the area. There are quite a few neighborhood cats that visit daily, our kids loved them. Lol.

Wonderful cozy hideaway

We stayed here with my family, including my mobility challenged FIL. The walk in shower was helpful for my FIL. The beds are comfy. The communication with the host is stellar. We were fleeing Hurricane Helene, and Jean let us check in earlier that day. For some reason the dog fee wasn’t charged and Jean didn’t collect it even though I did offer. Not sure what happened with the system. The listing did have a BBQ grill, which I would have used if we had lost power, but we never lost power, yay! I did clarify about the grill but she said she had to remove it for insurance reasons. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. The pecan trees are gorgeous. You will not be disappointed with this property. My only suggestion is to add a cookie sheet to the well-equipped kitchen. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Nowhere near beaches!!

The title of the property, "Beach House Blue", leads you to think the beach is near - it is NOT. It is a great place to stay for events happening around Laurel Hill, in my case, it was a wedding, or for a group wanting to go hunting. Destin or Ft. Walton Beach is about an hour's drive south without traffic. The house was clean, had everything you could need in the kitchen, has a nice screened in porch which was a great place to have coffee in the morning and watch the deer roaming around! I would definitely stay here again if the need arose. Laurel Hill has a liquor store, gas station, a Dollar General and a Family Dollar store. Grocery stores are about 18 miles away in Crestview, so get your groceries before you check in! I had zero need to contact the owner; the door code worked just fine, we had enough towels, everything was in working order. It took three adults to figure out how to start the dishwasher, but we finally got it going! The stay was pleasant and I would recommend it for anyone wanting to stay in tiny Laurel Hill.

Spoiled by first Vrbo!

This was my first experience with a Vrbo property, and I feel like all others won't be able to compare. This home was so clean, comfortable, colorful, spacious and inviting! Everything was ready for us when we arrived, and I was impressed with the quality of the supplies. There is a Dollar Tree/Dollar General store just around the corner that was very convenient. We were able to walk there in 5 minutes and grab munchies and drinks. Jean, our host, was so pleasant and responsive. I would definitely stay here again!

My husband, daughter and I landed in Laurel Hill, Florida due to our love of horses. We bought a weekend getaway...................and once we got here, we never left! I own a real estate business and rent beach rentals as well as long term rentals. I have purchased and totally remodeled twelve homes in the area. I love this town and its people. I enjoy the excitement of the beach but my heart is in the country. I think you will share my enthusiasm for this small community feel and have all the upgrades and comforts of houses four times the cost closer to the beach. Come enjoy the best of both worlds and save tons of money for your fun and beach entertainment.

Why they chose this property

This home is a beautiful brick home on one acre. It is in a really nice, quiet community where you can really relax on your vacation. There are three bedrooms and one full bath on one end of the house (a king, queen and full size bedrooms) and a queen bedroom and full bath on the other end of the home. This is a great set up for multiple families or families with teenagers. The living room has a comfortable sofa and chairs to relax in while you enjoy your big screen tv. The kitchen is fully stocked. The back yard off the screened in porch is fenced and we welcome approved pets (with a paid pet fee). Come try us out! You may just keep coming back.
